I'm with Tommy works in the past I'm sure I wear so blessed that you guys have joined us here today, and we're excited because this subject today It's a little deeper. It's not the surface type conversation. Sometimes you get we talk about healing But there's a difference between healing and wholeness. Oh, yeah, absolutely wholeness is where your spirit your soul and your body are completely healed Your mind nothing broken.
That's it. That's it. Nothing missing nothing broken nothing lacking Wow Yeah, that's an awesome place to strive to press toward God wants to heal you not just in your body Maybe physically not just like maybe, you know, you're dealing with some disease sickness and malady a problem He wants to heal your mind your will your emotions He wants to heal you from the pain of your past you might be dealing with depression anxiety fear and forgiveness bitterness God wants you to be whole and every area of your life and today we want to kind of dive into that thought process, you know For me, you know not so much some women too, but there's a strong emphasis in our society today about being healthy Oh, yeah, about you know our physical bodies, right, you know However, if something was to happen to us if tragedy was to follow you or something happened And you know just the fact that you could bench 220 pounds all in once could mean nothing Yeah, and Timothy first Timothy for he kind of enlightened us on that thought process just a little bit. He said this don't waste time Arguing over godless ideals and old wives tells instead train yourself to be godly Physical training is good.
That's good, right? Yeah beneficial some benefit. Yeah physical training is good But training for godliness is much better Promising benefits in this life and in this life to come Yes, you can do something today that not only benefits you in your present life, but could benefit you forever come on somebody You know, I want to know are you working on yourself not just on the outside, but on the inside too Yeah, do you believe God could heal you today not just externally, but he could heal you internally We've done a lot with having a patch of air dealt with people that were broken things missing struggling hurting dealing with problems issues from the past And I encourage you today if you're dealing with something right now in your home You're dealing with maybe hurt bitterness anger anxiety depression If you're dealing with that right now, and it's not something that necessarily we could put a cast on it And we could you know let it set for next six eight weeks and let it heal itself Of course God ingrained in us the healing properties of our body heal itself some things needs God's touch Yes, and your life will be made whole and today if you need wholeness in your life and you want to be made whole I want you to call that number 931-210-4405 call right now because we want to pray with you. I don't care what you're dealing with nothing Nothing's to be for God.
Nothing's too big for God. God can't fix your situation I think sometimes we think that our problem We focus on our problems so much that we think our problem cannot be touched by God That's it because it's overtaken our mind It's overtaken our spirit and we're allowing it to not allow God to get in there and help us get that healed But his his just him just him is is oh my goodness. Oh my goodness And his presence is fullness Everything that he has everything that he is is in his presence. That's it healing He can touch that unforgiveness.
He can touch that hurt, but you also have to be willing to say you know what I let this go I give it to you God. I forgive this person. I'm not gonna be angry anymore I'm not gonna be bitter because that's it's a root. That's it.
I didn't this is a root and it will cause you to have physical problems That is that's proven as proven one thing I can tell you for sure about a root to pass fair is this a root looks for a source Yes, it does So everything that comes into your life if you've got bitterness in you when something else someone somebody opportunity placement whatever when it comes to you Now you're looking for a source to feed the bitterness not to feed the joy not to feed the peace not to feed the hope You're looking for that source So you got to really be aware of what's going on internally because Internal problems can stop all external manifestations. Absolutely and it can begin to manifest. That's it You know, you got to work in tandem with God not only just showing up we we love to think that and again I love church. I'm a pastor.
Obviously I passed a church. We're in church three four times a week We love church don't get me wrong, but just going to church is not going to provide everything that you need in your life You're gonna have to have more you're gonna have to allow Holy Spirit Yes, the Word of God to become engrafted into your life You're gonna have to allow the Holy Spirit to get inside and start working on those things that those hidden things those things that you dress up And you hide from us on Sunday you put your makeup on not me. I don't wear makeup You wear makeup you put your makeup. Oh, you put your makeup on you put your suit on You spray a little s they later on and you go to church and you look good, but inside you're hurting inside you're broken inside You're struggling.
I want you to know something right now God wants to touch that and I think sometimes it's a matter of pride Do not wanting to admit that you actually have problems come on not wanting to open up and say you know what? I've done wrong. I don't I don't forgive these people whatever the issue may be sometimes it is pride We just need to learn how to lay our pride aside and say God I need you. I don't want to keep this inside of me any longer I don't want to live this way anymore That's it and you have to get to the point where you're sick and tired of being sick and tired of living that way And you take that step to make your life better.
That's it lay your pride down Assign come on lay your pride aside and take the steps today pick up your phone right now in your home and call that number because we Won't to pray with you God wants to touch you, you know in loop chapter number 17 very interesting story Jesus continued towards Jerusalem verse number 11 and he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria and as he entered a village there 10 men with leprosy stood at a distance crying out Jesus master have mercy on us and Jesus told them to show themselves to the priests and they became he'll one leper one leper Out of 10 return Thanking and praising God for the restoration to health and Jesus said his faith made him well Yeah, his faith made him well Yeah, King James version says it like this verse 19 and he said unto him arise go thy way thy faith has made the whole yes Hallelujah, he followed that one out of ten followed the instruction. Yeah, he was healed as they went They were healed, but when they got there he returned with thanksgiving so so I wanted to say it like this Yeah, I don't know if you could picture this or not But see this picture ten people sitting here with leprosy. Yeah years of hurt years of burden years of being rejected years Listen when they were looking at Jesus, they were still standing afar off. Yeah, hear me some of you right now, huh?
You're standing way way way back. You're ostracized you're separated. They were yelling they were crying out for help But they were still standing afar off. Yeah, they weren't willing to take those you know that fear that bitterness that anger that hurt that pain kept Stopped him yesterday season was still preventing them from moving forward this one leper said you know what I feel better Yeah, not only was he healed outside not only was his skin better, which is the outside left he shows up It's also some internal things the rejection the pain the hurt people just throwing scraps of food at them and treating them like dogs and being separate That that may be you today You may be in a place where God could touch you and hear you but could he move you into a place of thanksgiving come on somebody I just want to know that they could go and move you into a place where you could be thankful.
Yeah, man That's that's wholeness. That's wholeness. That's powerful. These men found healing of leftry But only one returned in faith and became whole well The others became healthy they did the others on the outside, but but they remained messes on the inside Has God touched you and moved you transitioned you and you've been touched on outside But you're still a mess on the inside today is there still something going on inside of you even though you may be healed of something Are you still a mess on the inside?
Becoming well and whole and Christ is important every part so body spirit. Yes, they need the Savior to come and touch that place That power of God You can be made whole today you can be made whole right there where you are. I think number one key to that is that you have to come to faith Yeah in Jesus Christ. Yeah, absolutely.
You've got to say yes to Christ You've got to say I won't Christ to be a part of my life You've got to come to faith you got to say yes to him So if you had to say Lord what I do today how do I become whole how do I get to the place that you want me to be? You can just take that step right now today You can pray that prayer with us right now You could call us at 9 3 1 2 1 0 4 4 0 5 and we can pray the prayer of faith with you and you could receive Christ as you're safe You can fast I'm says you believe in your heart can fast with your mouth and you shall Safe confession is open language open language you confess openly so when you call that's it when you call you're gonna speak out What what would be just nothing if you better nothing would make my day better than for you to call right now and just say yes to him Come to faith come to faith. Yes next thing you need to do is you need to repent There you go. That's the word We don't hear much about in the church today and a lot of folks You know, we're not even really teaching about saying or talking about saying or talking about repentance But you've got to repent and then you got to ask for forgiveness one thing I know about forgiveness It's hard sometimes to receive forgiveness.
Yeah, if we're not willing to accept forgiveness Some of you have trouble and I've run into people all over the United States of America who have a problem forgiving theirself Yeah, it's not really a problem to forgive someone else, but it's tough to forgive yourself I said love your neighbor as you first you said love God, right? Yes, and he said love your neighbor as yourself. You need to be in love with you So let's just try this right now. Let's say this when we say God's God's God big big plans for me He loves me he loves me and he's got big plans for me every time I said that I love to say that God's got big big plans big big plans.
Why cuz he's a big God He's got big plans for your life next thing you got to do is you got to give God your burden your guilt your shame Yes, your anxiety. You got to just give that to him. Just lay that just get open and honest. Just just reveal your heart He already knows your heart anyway.
He already knows he knows your heart So don't yeah, don't try don't try to go beforehand and keep things from him because he already knows he already knows he already knows So sorry trust in his directing your life. Yes, you got to get that thing. I'm just sorry Lord I apologize. I repent.
I turn I say yes to you and right now Can you please remove this burden this guilt and the shame for my life shame is a rope past affair a rope That ties you to your past and you you're sitting there at home right now and you God said you're free right here But you're connected to yesterday watch because that's an internal yes God wants to set you free. You got to be thankful You got to practice gratitude Yeah, it's you have to practice it for sure even when you don't feel it Have you ever pulled up to the to the drive-through and in less than three minutes Somebody make a chicken sandwich where you like Chick-fil-A or praise God for Chick-fil-A Yeah, you pull up you pull up to Chick-fil-A who are closed on Sunday by the way a lot of you can learn a lot about business This is me if you would give something to God. Yes, Chick-fil-A I don't remember a time driving by that the line's not backed up Why because they give something back to God what they give their employees back to God on Sunday They give they honor the Lord with a day your business would do better if you would honor the Lord So that's that's all free, but be thankful But practice gratitude have you ever pulled up to a window? To drive through and and I mean you just ordered it like one minute and 15 seconds ago And you pull up to a window and when you get to that window They hand you your chicken sandwich and they forgot to give you a pack of mandates and in a moment you have lost your gratitude And you're un thankful you pulled up to that window with bitterness you say what are you talking about?
Oh somebody else left out something and some other drive-through window and you didn't get it and you got all the way home And you're still mad come on somebody you're still mad about that last drive-through experience And you're gonna take it out on this current drive-through experience and that guy just started today And he don't even know where the pack of mandates is but you're only why because you're not practicing gratitude I know y'all left some at home and I was laughing but I'm telling you right now It's amazing how we can lose our thankfulness in about a three-minute trip That didn't have anything to do with that drive-through. No, I didn't Now hear me that didn't have anything to do with that drive-through that had to do with previous things You brought in gratitude. You brought un-thankfulness. You didn't bring joy with you You couldn't fix yourself a chicken sandwich in a minute 30 seconds and you're upset Same thing happens with with other life issues with people that you have current relationships with now That's it when they say something or do something that triggers a memory of something painful or hurtful from the past And if you're not healed from that it immediately comes out and you vomit on them That's it not only are you bringing the past to them you're bringing all that has built on it as well That's it just comes out on them because that's what happens that's it when you don't get healed whole whole inside How do I get whole pastor?
How are we going to do that? We're gonna have a daily relationship with God through prayer and through reading his word That's how we're going to do I said one time you need to get in the word Like your life depends on it because your life does depend on it every answer to your problems are in the word That's it. He has seven thousand and something promises. I'm not gonna say exactly because I know it's over seven thousand promises in the Bible from God That's a lot of promises one of those promises fit your life right?
One of those promises fit your life. That's right. Yes, that's right I guarantee you you know one of the greatest things you can do to feel better about your situation is to go out and pour yourself out to somebody else Going through the same thing serve and love promise you it will help heal you. Oh, the Osteen She was dealing with cancer.
She was dying John John Osteen went to her. They give her a dire diagnosis Yes, so many months or whatever. Yes, and so he just went to her and said, you know, do you believe the word? And yeah, I believe words that we'll just get up get up go take a shower fix your hair put on some makeup We're gonna go we're gonna go pray for people that need healing.
Yeah, let me tell you guys something She was healed somewhere between the getting up out of that bed and praying for somebody she received a healing It's still alive healed set free and hold a day Cancer free by serving and loving other people you can look if you feel bad right now Here's the suggestion that this is gonna get this is gonna get you fired up. Oh, go take a shower Yeah, put some deodorant on some deodorant on your heart comb your hair brush your teeth Brush your teeth come on come on put on a pair of shoes and go find somebody who's struggling go find somebody who's dealing with something And serve love and help that person because when you pour out listen when you give it comes back to you when you give when you So when you invest there's something come back to your life as long as you stay in that room and stay closed off to the world Around you, you're never going to come out of that situation. You've got to get up right now and get out of there Come on serve others. We'll never become complete in wellness or wholeness until we're all the way in heaven I do believe that you're not gonna look if you had a wort I don't think I'm gonna have this little mole on my cheek when I get to heaven I think I'll probably don't have that but but you know if you have a scar on your face You may still I don't know Jesus brought his scars with him to heaven But you know here's the thing you got to know that God gives us a new body if we didn't need a new body in heaven And it's eternal.
It's gonna be eternal. It's never it's never going to die It's never going to grow old. It's never it is for eternal your soul your spirit is eternal We're just taking space in these bodies that we were given We were given to stewards, so we didn't steward and well stewards your body stewards your time get home We want to pray for you today to be whole.
