Expectations can be healthy or damaging. It depends on whether both parties are on the same page. In Jesus' day, Israel expected a Messiah to deliver God’s people. Jesus came to do that, but not in the way people expected. Today, we must ask if our expectations of King Jesus align with His mission and purpose.
