You're Either a Fountain or a Drain

You're Either a Fountain or a Drain. Most Men Don't Know Which One They Are.Every man leaves something behind after an interaction.Sometimes people leave your presence feeling lighter — encouraged, heard, strengthened.Sometimes they leave carrying more weight than they had when they arrived. The question is: which one are you?In Episode 80 of Built, Not Felt, we examine the difference between being a fountain and being a drain — not through dramatic acts of kindness, but through the ordinary conversations, relationships and moments that reveal where our attention naturally goes.A drain isn't necessarily a bad man. He may be a good man who has simply trained his attention to point inward — toward his problems, his frustrations, his needs and his story.A fountain has learned to look outward. He notices. He asks.He listens. He carries. He leaves people better than he found them.Through Scripture, we explore generosity, humility, brotherhood and the responsibility we have toward the people God has placed around us.Proverbs 11:25 says, “Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”So here's the test:When people spend time with you, do they leave lighter or heavier? This episode is for the man who wants to become more than successful. A man who wants to be useful. A man whose presence strengthens his family, his friendships, his brothers and his team.Because the goal isn't to become the man who needs nothing from anyone. It's to become the kind of man who has something to pour into others. You're either a fountain or a drain.
