藏地稱祈願法會為「神變祈願大法會」，它的起源是佛陀以神通變化降伏了六師外道，所以稱為「大神變節」。後來印度的國王一直都有舉行慶祝大神變節的法會，每年在舍衛城迎請佛陀的身、語、意像，然後進行廣大供養。為什麼會有這個大神變法會呢？居然是一個佛陀跟人家約了結果跑了七個國家，最後一口氣解決…..解決我們的煩惱的故事！
