He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Many people can believe that God exists. Many people can even believe that God loves them. Yet there is often a deeper question hidden beneath the surface. What does God truly think about me? When I struggle, when I fail, when I feel ordinary, when I am carrying doubts and insecurities, how does God look at me? The answer found in Scripture is both beautiful and deeply reassuring. Zephaniah tells us that God delights in His people. He is not reluctantly tolerating us. He is not watching from a distance waiting for us to become perfect. He is a loving Father who knows us completely and still chooses to love us fully. His grace reaches into our weaknesses, His mercy covers our failures, and His love remains constant through every season of life. Jesus demonstrated that love perfectly. Throughout His ministry He moved toward people who felt overlooked, rejected, uncertain, and unworthy. He welcomed them, restored them, and reminded them that they mattered to God. That same love continues to reach people today. Father, thank You that Your love is greater than my fears and stronger than my doubts. Thank You that I do not have to earn Your affection or strive to deserve Your grace. Jesus, help me see myself through Your eyes. When insecurity tries to define me, remind me of who I am in You. When self-doubt grows louder than truth, help me remember that I am known, loved, and valued by God. Holy Spirit, strengthen my confidence in the Father’s love today. Help me walk with quiet assurance, knowing that I belong to Christ and that Your presence remains with me. Across the world, from Chicago to Lagos, from Singapore to Wellington and Tokyo, may hearts be comforted by the truth that God still delights in His people and His love never fails.
