The lights are beginning to go out in homes across the world, and for many people this is the first quiet moment they have had all day. Before sleep comes, there is no need to carry every thought a little further or replay every conversation once more. Tonight, let’s simply remember the God who has stayed with us from the beginning of this day until now. He has not grown tired of us, and His love has not grown smaller. Let’s finish this day together in prayer. Scripture (NIV) “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17 Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithful love that has carried us through another day. Thank You that Your presence remains with us in the quietness of this evening and that Your love does not depend on how successful or difficult this day has been. As we prepare to rest, we place every care into Your hands. Calm our minds, settle our hearts and surround our homes with Your peace. Help us to sleep with confidence, knowing that You remain our loving Father, watching over us through the night and welcoming us into a new morning with fresh mercy and unfailing grace. Fear will not win, because the Lord rejoices over His people with faithful and everlasting love. May the Lord surround you with His peace tonight, quiet your heart and give you deep, refreshing rest beneath His loving care.
