Much has happened since this morning, and now the evening invites us to slow our thoughts and rest our hearts. Before sleep comes, let’s remember something wonderfully comforting. Our Heavenly Father is not distant from His people. He is near. He delights in His children, surrounds them with His faithful presence and quiets anxious hearts with His perfect love. Tonight, we are invited to rest, not simply because the day has ended, but because the God who loves us remains with us. Scripture (NIV) “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17 Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constant presence throughout this day and for the assurance that Your love never grows weary. As we prepare to rest tonight, quiet every anxious thought and settle every burden that we have carried. Remind us that we are never beyond Your care and never outside Your loving attention. Fill our hearts with the peace that comes from knowing You are near, and help us release tomorrow into Your faithful hands. May we sleep in quiet confidence, renewed by Your grace and strengthened by the certainty that Your love remains constant through every season of our lives. Fear will not win, because the Lord is with us, delights in us and quiets our hearts with His perfect love. May the Lord surround you tonight with His gentle peace, quiet your heart with His unfailing love and remind you that you are safely held in His faithful presence.
