2010年10月，确诊肾衰竭晚期的悉尼华裔Jeffrey Chan接受了肾脏移植，捐献者是他57岁的父亲。7月27日至8月3日是澳大利亚器官捐献周（Donatelife Week），2024年，全澳共有174,414人新注册成为器官捐献者，比上一年减少了约5,400人。
