Die Geschichte der evangelisch-lutherischen Gemeinde beginnt erst im 20. Jahrhundert. Auf dem heutigen Zornedinger Gemeindegebiet - in Pöring - wurde 1968 eine Christophoruskapelle errichtet. 1984 wurde der "Evangelische Kirchenbauverein Zorneding-Pöring e.V." gegründet und 1989 das neue Gemeindezentrum eingeweiht.
