Zulu Spear - Eltonnick Remix Main

from Afrocentric · host Afrocentric

The original was released in April 2020, we are super excited to present to you remixes from Eltonnick & Afrocentric stalwart Sky White. To enhance the package further we have remastered the Candyman SA remix and given it a new lease of life. Zulu Spear was conceived as an instrumental but once Cory Centric heard it he knew it needed a vocal he drafted in the one and only Idd Aziz who works his magic with the call and chant style vocals that have graced many an Afro House hit. Eltonnick takes his remix is to deep afro territory with a kick drum that will burst your speakers, his remix is a slow burner focusing on the vocals at the start of the track and then bringing the song to life with some nifty synth work. Sky White once again shows his production versatility with a deep melancholy remix, with great use of strings to give the song a nice downtempo feel. Add to this the Remastered Candy Man SA remix which greatly enhances Idd Aziz vocals, and you have what we think is a strong remix package A&R - Cory Centric Produced by - Sonsei, King Lee & Dj Vitoto Vocals - Idd Aziz Publishing - Atal Music Mastering - Michele Papa

Afrocentric. Morgan Gray Mission: To redefine and expand the understanding of Afrocentrism by illuminating the deeper, often untold histories and lived experiences of the Black Aboriginal peoples of North America—those later labeled as African American. The podcast bridges these truths with the ancestral narratives of Africa, South America, and the Caribbean, fostering a renewed global appreciation for Black heritage, resilience, and cultural continuity. Purpose: This podcast exists to challenge limited historical frameworks, such as the dominant 1619 narrative, by restoring depth, dignity, and context to the story of the original dark-skinned, swarthy peoples of the Americas. Through dialogue, storytelling, and scholarship, it seeks to empower listeners to see the continuum between ancient ancestry, contemporary identity, and future potential.
