Armenians there have their own schools, churches and even a village inhabited only by Armenians. In 1979, the Islamic revolution was happened in Iran after which a significant number of Armenians emigrated from the country, most of whom moved to their homeland ― Armenia. ARM: 19-րդ դարի սկզբին տեղի ունեցած երկու ռուս-պարսկական պատերազմների արդյունքում Իրանը կորցրեց իր տիրապետության տակ գտնվող Կովկասը, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը: Երկու պատերազմից առաջինն ավարտվեց Գյուլիստանի պայմանագրով, երկրորդը՝ Թուրքմենչայի: Վերջինը, բացի նրանից, որ հավելյալ կորուստներ պատճառեց Իրանին, ևս մեկ անգամ ամրագրեց նաև Գյուլիստանի պայմանները: Սա է պատճառը, որ այսօր Իրանում Թուրքմենչայի պայմանագիրն ամոթալի են համարում, իսկ Կովկասն՝ իրենց պատմական հողերը, որոնց կորուստն Իրանի համար ցավալի է:   EN: As a result of the two Russo-Persian wars that took place at the beginning of 19th century, Iran lost the Caucasus, including Armenia and Azerbaijan. The first of the two wars ended with the Treaty of Gyulistan, the second with the Treaty of Turkmenchay. The latter, in addition to causing additional losses to Iran, once again strengthened the conditions of Gyulistan. This is why today Iran considers the Treaty of Turkmenchay a disgrace, and the Caucasus its historical lands, the loss of which is regretful for Iran.

As the majority of the population in the Middle East is Muslim, we mainly talk about the traditions of Islamic funerals. We also talk about Zoroastrians, whom many of us remember from history. They now live in Iran and India and have their own interesting traditions for funerals.
