The Heritage Fund Project 2025 initiative to cripple the Black community has run unabated throughout Trump 2.0. In particular, Black women, the most educated section of American society, has taken the brunt of the onslaught. Starting with DOGE stripping away tens of thousands of government jobs under the false pretense of eradicating fraud to the stripping of DEI programs, Russel Voight and his team have figured out a myriad of ways to cripple Black women. Mark discusses a Washington Post article highlighting four Black women with nine degrees between them all looking forward. "We Outside" has emerged the tag line for New York City as they continue the celebration for their beloved, but America is Outside and welcoming the world with open arms. The incredible hospitality Americans have shown their foreign visitors for the World Cup has been surprising and heartwarming. The American brand is soaring. The world has descended on the United States and the love it. every bit of it from Waffle House to breakfast burritos. All while our bitter, demented, hate-filled Mad King lies and bungles his way to losing the Iran War, But Americans are barely paying attention to Trump. He is as absent as MAGA hats as the multi-cultural Movement sweeps the nation. America has woken up to the fact that they are not a MAGA country and Project 2025 is just Racism and Trump is just a Loser. Hopefully, the wave is so big even the Left can ride it to political victory

Brock struggles with the question of whether the outburst of joy and togetherness In New York City is fleeting or the start of a cultural revolution in America. While New Yorkers espouse their diverse neighborhoods and multi-racial society. Of course, the challenge of the Knocks team to decide whether or not to attend the White House to meet with Trump. Mark argues the decision should be easy and expects an emphatic "No" from the players despite their owner James Dolan accepting the invitation. Overall, both podcasters are deep in the rabbit hole of videos from joyous NYers. It is the feel-good story of the last decade. The Victory Parade was a fitting coronation with all the right messaging about belief and inclusion. The message is powerful and emotional and just might spread throughout the country.

An amazing moment is going on in America right now. Triggered by the enormous outpouring of joy in New York City for the Knicks championship and the beginning of the World Cup, the United States is in a heightened state of euphoria and emotion. The world is on our doorstep and celebrating their cultures with us. The diversity and multiculturalism are transcendent. The contrast to a bumbling abrasive Trump is Europe and our masked ICE agents is stark. But Trump is shrinking in front of our eyes, His act gas worn thin, His Iran War surrender a national embarrassment. MAGA is losing to togetherness and Love. It is beautiful to watch. And should inspire a revolution in America. Stay tuned.

The days of attending any event and pretending to be non-partisan or non-political are Over. No one in America can pretend any longer to be neutral on the events and policies that surround them. Silence is complicity. But Showing up is support. Active, full throated support for MAGA and White supremacy, So if you attend a Trump-tinged event, you are a Trump supporter. There is no coming back to polite society. The crass slander of Michelle Obama by an MMA fighter was the lowlight of the night, but not a surprise and no walk back by Trump. In Germany, they would say if you are at a table with one Nazi and nine others it is a table with 10 Nazis. So we are watching closely to see who is complicit and who is active. There will be repercussions.

Brock argues this was not just an NBA Championship in New York City. it was a triumph for multi-culturalism. Community, friendship and perseverance. The energy and unbridled joy being experienced by the entire city of New York from diehard Knicks fans to those riding the wave demonstrates how much not just New Yorkers, but all Americans, needed the joy and the love generated by this basketball game. Like a soda bottle shaken, the city has exploded in appreciation for each other. Brock argues this is a seminal moment in America. The positive energy will emanate from NYC to the rest of the country. The 70% of America that hates Donald Trump will be unleashed to follow NYC's chant 'New York hates you' at Trump Tower. Look for the Democrats to pick up their messaging from the people on the streets on New York. Politicians don't lead. They follow the will of the people. Anfd the millions of people singing together will spread. America has tasted joy in its most important city. There is no going back from this feeling. The hate and bitterness of MAGA is officially on life support. America will no longer tolerate their vision of America. Embracing our difference will triumph over fearing them. The Knicks put the stake in the heart of MAGA. It's all over but the crying.

The Trump Presidency is in a tattered state of incompetence and failure. The Iran War drags on with garbled messaging and Trump attempting to lie his way through negotiations while being contradicted by the mullahs. Inflation hits new highs as the residual impact of the Iran War works its way through goods and services. But Trump applauds a "great' economy attempting to sell his distorted version of reality to an increasingly impoverished and skeptical country. Also, Trump tries desperately to be one of the cool kids inserting himself into America's enjoyment via sports and pop culture. All these attempts fall flat further annoying a populous in search of escapes from their declining quality of life. John Cornyn tells us Trump is facing a miserable two years ahead. Our worry is that Trump will be fine. II's the American people likely to experience two terrible years.

Kamala Harris loved the "we have more in common than what divides us" line on the campaign trail. Brock questioned it then and really questions it now as he embarks on a Deep South journey. The overt religiosity of the South is striking to a Northerner. The Trump billboards and "Super stores" where people buy Trump-adorned merchandise seems bizarre. The lack pf integration between White and Black people in the cities visited is glaringly obvious. The Right-wing news is everywhere. The people seem nice and friendly. The food is great. But it feels like a different culture. The South could be another country, albeit with the same language. The question is whether American ideals and belief in democracy binds us together North and South, Conservative and Liberal. Brock is skeptical as he travels to Mississippi, home of the Ole Miss Rebels. What were they rebelling against? Oh yeah. Me. The Northerners.

Mark and Brock take a break from the daily commentary on politics to reflect on why they do the podcast and how easily they slip back into their silos. American society has thrown such different life experiences at each of them since their high school days that reconnecting to talk about these paths has been a great education. But the effort is not seen in much of their everyday lives or amongst their circle of friends. It begs the question of whether people in this country will ever take a beat and think about the lived experiences of the "others" around them. Not likely, but this podcast is an attempt to start the honest conversation.

Oh come on now, getting the Senate to only approve $70 billion is a victory for the Resistance? No way. This is not middle of the road policy stance. ICE is separating families, providing inhumane conditions no longer even keeping track of deaths in their concentration camps. It is totally unacceptable within any standard of reasonable conditions. But the American people are indifferent to the plight of immigrants. Too many Americans are indifferent to the suffering of others. Mark highlights a move by state legislators in Minnesota to have a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin. Brock argues this is why there is no coming together with MAGA. America is in a Civil War. one side or the other wins.

From the World Cup to Freedom Concert to Reflecting Pool to UFC octagon at the White house, everything Trump touches is dying right in front of us the FIFA World Cup is the most costly example as Trump and Mark Wayne Mulins are combining to make the world feel as unwelcome as possible. Unfortunately, America geared up for a flood of foreign visitors with wallets full and ready to spend. But with ICE agents poised to patrol stadiums and the U.S. abandoning Allies and bullying everyone else, people are simply not buying tickets and not planning to come here. The lost revenue will be astounding. Along with an international rebuke, MAGA Congress is showing signs of dissent against the Mad King. He screwed a bunch of them in the primaries and now they feel bitter and emboldened. Thus, Trump is slowly losing his vice-like grip on the party and the Resistance is taking baby steps towards a real fight. Reasons for optimism in the pro-democracy camp.

The replacements are even worse than the initial appointments. If you thought Tulsi Gabbard was dangerous due to her very close ties with Vladimir Putin, how can you tolerate Bill Pulte a home builder to run National intelligence. How can America garner any credibility or information sharing when the head of DNI has no idea about the job. One of the most important national security positions in the country. These roles used to be reserved for the best for the best. Americans could sleep at night confident the best trained and most experiences people were in positions of influence. But in corrupt Donald Trump world, loyalty outweighs expertise. And American citizens are less safe.

We review the utter lack of Exit plan and overall buffoonery of American aggression in Iran. Since no justification was provided for entering the conflict, the American people have no idea on the criteria for an exit. There is no plan so the situation lingers in a perpetual state of bluster and confusion. The state of affairs is less confused, but more depressing, The cancellation of the Freedom Concert is emblematic of a populous in no mood to celebrate the nation's 250th birthday. In fact, to most Americans, it is an embarrassment to face this is the state of the union after all this time. From the shining beacon on the hill which promoted and defended democracy all over the world to a failing democracy ourselves. pack up the balloons. Put away the fireworks. The next American celebration will be for the end of MAGA.

Trump throws in the towel on his Freedom Concert after every decent performer on the docket walks away. Finally, the 68% that disapprove of Trump have started to wrestle back America's culture. The Jackson Dart controversy is a microcosm of what is going on throughout the country. MAGA sympathizers are being confronted and challenged. The days of quiet acquiescence are over. Maybe this will trigger the fight for democracy next. Brock argues there will be no coming together until after the Trump regime is toppled. Unity is not the goal. Regaining power and restoring democracy are the goal. Until then every day is a fight.

The long list of performers for the Freedom Concert 250 seemed long and filled with Black performers. It seemed odd. But then one by one they started dropping out having been invited to a 'non-partisan" event, but coming to realize this was yet another Doanlad Trump narcissism festival. Sure, they should have known. In fact, they must live in a bubble not to know. But in the end, the performers are dropping out because association with Trump MAGA is career suicide. When 70% of the country disapproves of an avowed White Supremacy Movement led by a known Racist you'd better be sure you want to be on that team. Just ask Jackson Dart of the Ny Giants. TV and radio host Boomer Esiaon is in his camp, but not many others. The old "I respect the Presidency" line falls flat. Associate with Racists and you get labeled one. So let's see if Florida and CC Music Factory hang in there at the Trump concert. Not sure who will be attending this fiasco. Just like the MMA fight at the White House, they may need to solicit the military to fill the seats. Because we honor our troops by using them as props.

The Head of the NAACP is calling for young black athletes to boycott universities in Southern states. Voter registration efforts are already starting as a countermove to voter suppression by MAGA bureaucrats. But asking young kids to lead is a tough task, especially when established Black performers and athletes are not making similar sacrifices. We revisit the Kevin Hart Roast as an example and discuss Kevin's response, which attempts to downplay the Racism of the event. Mark goes on to talk about the suppression of Black anger, which Brock contrasts with the quickness with which White people move to anger as they feel much more comfortable and protected in society. Finally, the prospect of Trump attending a Knicks championship game at Madison Square Garden was seen as a potential disaster and bad karma for the home team.

The Mad King told us Don Jr's wedding was at an inconvenient time for him, but got immediate backlash on social media and even in right wing circles. he looked like a bad father not wanting to attend a major event in his family. Sensing the bad sentiment, Trump kicked into pathological liar mode and invented a story about intense peace negotiation for which he needed to be deeply involved. we know this is BS because Trump is not involved with anything for more than a few minutes. But the entire Adnin needed to play along with the lie, So Rubio spun some bullshit about every issue being solved except nuclear weapons and the Strait of Hormuz. The two most important topics. The entire 72-hour news cycle was a lie, but our media played along as if Trump had credibility. They sane washed the obvious. Trump hates his son and had no intention of being at an event not focused on him. It's simple. Just follow the narcissism and assume the most selfish act will be the decision. So Donald stayed home. And rage tweeted. And did nothing about Iran.

Just when you thought it might the off season for the NFL, New York Giants quarterback Jackson Dart has grabbed the tabloid headlines by introducing Trump tat MAGA rally. Now Dart played his college football at the University of Mississippi so we can not be that surprised at his political leanings. However, as the leader of an organization with 75% Black players, the decision to be overtly MAGA is surprising. At least one of the prominent Black teammates of Dart has challenged and questioned his support fo White Supremacy. Now Giants team owner Steve Tisch was cited in the Epstein Files and is being quietly moved out of an operational role. The NFL wants to be MAGA, but with the veneer of social justice. The league is a fraud. The blackballing of Colin Kaepernick showed us everything we need to know. But with 65% of the country disapproving of Trump MAGA, we don't see the way back for Jackson Dart. Certainly not in NYC. He better read defenses better than his has read the room on MAGA.

Aloha Tulsi! Our Russian asset sitting atop the robust American intelligence apparatus. But even her somewhat abrupt resignation will not alter the state of play. Our former Allies no longer trust America. They will not share intelligence with us and who can blame them. The Trump=led United States is unreliable and predatory. The Five Eyes have been abolished. No other country, except Israel, can trust Ameria will defend them in a conflict. So Tulsi Gabbard may have been a disaster, but the replacement will be no better. Just another Trump loyalist pledged to protect his ass and not ours.

The sheer volumes of trades is astounding. The dollar value of illicit gains unknown until we get an audit...some day. But Trump is operating in the Oval Office like a hedge fund manager front running policy announcements and military engagements. He is basically trading ahead of the most impactful information possible and using U.S, policy as a trading advantage. The funny part is that the loser on the other side of his trades likely voted for him and still supports him because of the tax cuts. However, the corruption is so egregious and unabashed it would be impossible to believe except Donald Trump's greed knows no bounds. As usual, the American people accept the lawlessness and do nothing.

Trump will just keep going until someone stops him. First, he accepted illegal gifts from foreign entities, Then, he sold mem coins. Then a crypto fund. Then he sold pardons. All violations to the emoluments clause or outright Corruption. But the fake $1.8 billion "settlement" with the SEC has to be a bridge too far for the American people. A reparations slush fund for January 6th rioters? That is if you believe Trump won't keep all the money for himself. He sees MAGA as "suckers and losers" also so any payouts would be a surprise. The big question remains: will the American people sit by idly while Trump blatantly raids the Treasury aka the taxpayer's money? Mark argues Black America is riled up and motivated for huge election turnout on teh Midterms after the gerrymandering of Congressional districts throughout the Sout. What about White America?

As Trump and his crew of billionaires are focused on self-serving dealmaking, China is hardball negotiating on important geopolitical topics. With only dollar signs driving American interests, Trump's corruption takes center stage and the American people are left out of the picture. Why exactly are 10 billionaire CEOs taking center stage at such a critical series of international relations meetings. Key administration officials should be fighting for the security and well-being of the people. That hardly seems the case. The only citizens faring worse are the Taiwanese, who are getting tepid support from Trump at best. They appear to be on the way to being "Ukrained" by Trump. The process by which a democratic ally gets abandoned by America because Trump doesn't see the personal benefit in defending their sovereignty. But the American oligarchy does not care. they are in it for themselves. As Chairman Xi pointed out, America in decline.

Democratic candidates are out running in primaries or prepping for the Midterms with a way toos soft and safe message. There is a lot of commentary on the easy topics where everyone is on board. The easy applause lines: Data centers, AI, the Economy anti-AIPAC and the Iran War. These topics are easy pickings, but not the crux of the matter. What happened to Abolish ICE? or codifying women's right to choose? or universal health care? or at the doubling down on the ACA? or Racism? Any chance a Democrat makes a strong statement about being pro-immigration? or pro-DEI? or a believer in a multi-cultural society as America's strength? How is it possible when a White Supremacy Movement is dismantling U.S. democracy can the Opposition party be so timid. The Democratic leadership of ken Martin, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are the wrong people for 2025. They are not wartime leaders and thus far the Democrats are not a party up for the fight. The rank-and-file is ready. the leadership is not.

A wave of protests are scheduled throughout the South, and specifically in Alabama, this weekend. Black America is planning this show of force in historically relevant places such as Selma to fight for voting rights last fought for over 60 years ago. Mark points out that America has turned back the clock. MAGA is wining its battle to restore a Jim Crow era society. Brock points out that with Black people out on the streets it is a golden opportunity for White people to show solidarity and start building a unified coalition against Trump 2.0 Project 2025 White Supremacy. Wouldn't it be ironic if SCOTUS overreach actually builds a real Resistance Movement. It may ne a longshot but the hope and need for a multi-culural;. multi-racial counterforce to MAGA is imperative.

DL Hughley, Eddie Glaude and Ryan Clark are calling for college football players to de-commit from SEC schools and switch to colleges in states with fair voting rights. Mark and Brock discuss the viability of getting young kids to sacrifice life changing money to make a statement. Is it their responsibility? Haven't civil rights movements always been led by young people. It is complex as the owner to labor dynamic in America is very white against black. The topic highlights the lack of breakout leadership in the Resistance which coupled with a shortage of true anger has left the counter to MAGA lacking. White America is still too complacent as rights are taken away. Mark believes Black America is ready to mobilize against the voter suppression, but not ready for street protests. The push for athletes to take a leading role is hopeful but may not be realistic.

The Supreme Court decision on the Voting rights Act lays bare America's systematic racism for all to see. There is no more hiding behind feigned ignorance, although MAGA messaging that "we took away your rights because Racism is no longer an issue" is wordsmithing genius. Basically we are going to screw you over and gaslight you at the same time. So with the Racism so bold and institutional in nature, when do White American acknowledge Racism and when does the country have a Racial Reckoning. The kind of honest discussion on Race in America which society has avoided for 250 years. We can't expect politicians to lead. It will need to be a bottom up process. As a final topic we discuss union-busting and Jeff Bezos tone deaf Met Gala wit a question on why were WNBA players in attendance? Seems they should be supporting unions having just been through a 6-month Labor negotiation. But, No. Time to party with Amazon, America's number one union antagonist. In the meantime, U.S. Consumers are getting crushed by prices at the pump and now another spike in grocery prices. The MAGA team is not great at problem-solving so we are not optimistic about what comes next. All the while, Project 2025 continues the assault on women's bodily autonomy. Finally, we discuss DOGE cuts to medical research and the long-term impact on all of our lives as progress on cancer and other curable diseases will inevitable slow. We just do not see the benefit and how we have money for war, but not life-saving medicine.

Mark expresses optimism that there were significant economic-focused protests today as anger grows on the Left. But the hosts debated whether the SCOTUS ruling to roll back Voting rights would trigger increased involvement by the Black community in future protests. Mark believes many Black people have been shaken up by the rulings and will fight back. Brock expresses his hope that Black citizens will join with Progressives to endorse language and policies that will radically alter American society. But this could only happen after a thorough racial reckoning as the Racism which has prevented achievement of a true, equal democracy must be addressed first.

President Donald Trump and officials in his administration were the likely targets of a suspect who fired on a security agent guarding the White House Correspondents' Association ​dinner in Washington, U.S. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said on Sunday.The man fired a shotgun at a Secret Service agent at a checkpoint in the Washington Hilton hotel before being tackled and arrested. Nothing about the assailant's attempt makes sense so conspiracy theories run rampant. Mark thinks it could be staged. Brock does not think MAGA is competent enough to pull off a ruse.Trump ‌and first lady Melania Trump were rushed out of the dinner.  Kash Patel and RFK Jr. clowned themselves with cowardly behavior. MAGA scavengers hoarded liquor bottles on the way out the door. 

Mark and Brock discuss....President Trump announced on Saturday that he canceled U.S. officials’ planned travel to Pakistan for another round of negotiations with Iran. Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner were set to travel to Islamabad on Saturday to take part in these talks, but the president said in a Truth Social post on Saturday afternoon that he called off the trip. Iranian officials had declined to meet directly. MAGA loyalists are also going off about trump possibly giving Maxwell a pardon, as victims try to get and audience with King Charles who is set to visit the US in the next week.  we also tackle the NFL's phony acceptance of its players of color at the NFL draft--

SPIRIT needs a bailout and Mark and Brock discuss the blatant corruption of Donald Trumps regime and his family...his policies are creating chos...Meta plans to lay off 10% of its workforce, about 8,000 employees, as it continues ramping up investments in artificial intelligence.The cuts will begin May 20, and the company is scrapping plans to hire people for 6,000 open roles, according to a Thursday memo to employees. Bloomberg was first to report on the layoffs.Meta’s latest round of cuts follows several smaller job reductions that the company said was necessary to to improve efficiency while focusing its efforts on generative AI, where it’s lagged OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.
