With Voting Rights Stripped, Systematic Racism is Laid Bare. When Do We Get a Reckoning?
The Supreme Court decision on the Voting rights Act lays bare America's systematic racism for all to see. There is no more hiding behind feigned ignorance, although MAGA messaging that "we took away your rights because Racism is no longer an issue" is wordsmithing genius. Basically we are going to screw you over and gaslight you at the same time. So with the Racism so bold and institutional in nature, when do White American acknowledge Racism and when does the country have a Racial Reckoning. The kind of honest discussion on Race in America which society has avoided for 250 years. We can't expect politicians to lead. It will need to be a bottom up process. As a final topic we discuss union-busting and Jeff Bezos tone deaf Met Gala wit a question on why were WNBA players in attendance? Seems they should be supporting unions having just been through a 6-month Labor negotiation. But, No. Time to party with Amazon, America's number one union antagonist. Disappointing showing by Paige Bueckers, Aja Wilson and Angel Reese.

How Does Trump Get Out of the Iran Trap He Created?
Trump and his "Advisors" have put themselves in a box and don't seem to know how to get out. In the meantime, U.S. Consumers are getting crushed by prices at the pump and now another spike in grocery prices. The MAGA team is not great at problem-solving so we are not optimistic about what comes next. All the while, Project 2025 continues the assault on women's bodily autonomy. Finally, we discuss DOGE cuts to medical research and the long-term impact on all of our lives as progress on cancer and other curable diseases will inevitable slow. We just do not see the benefit and how we have money for war, but not life-saving medicine.

Protests Resume in Earnest But a Racial Reckoning Needed to Achieve a Larger, Unified Resistance
Mark expresses optimism that there were significant economic-focused protests today as anger grows on the Left. But the hosts debated whether the SCOTUS ruling to roll back Voting rights would trigger increased involvement by the Black community in future protests. Mark believes many Black people have been shaken up by the rulings and will fight back. Brock expresses his hope that Black citizens will join with Progressives to endorse language and policies that will radically alter American society. But this could only happen after a thorough racial reckoning as the Racism which has prevented achievement of a true, equal democracy must be addressed first.

Trump Defies Court Orders
Mark and Brock discuss a 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court kneecapped the Voting Rights Act (VRA), the landmark civil rights law that restricted racial gerrymandering and racial discrimination in voting for sixty years.Writing for the majority in Callais v. Louisiana, Justice Samuel Alito wrote that the court was not striking down Section 2 of the VRA, but rather “properly” interpreting it as “impos[ing] liability only when circumstances give rise to a strong inference that intentional discrimination occurred.Justice Elena Kagan, in dissent, accused the majority of making changes that “eviscerate the law.” Also in our quick hits section we discuss the King Charles visit and the economic shutdown, freeze out--DONT BUY ANYTHING....

Trump CONTINUES HIS CRAP--AND SO DOES PROJECT 2025...DISMANTLING AMERICA...
Mark and Brock discuss....King Charles III is embracing some of Washington’s most formal ceremonial trappings as he tries to emphasize a bond between the United Kingdom and the United States that is so strong it can withstand the political turmoil of the moment. The visit comes at a challenging moment for U.S.-UK relations. Trump’s up-and-down relationship with Prime Minister Keir Starmer has taken a particularly sour turn over the past several months as the president has sought to rally international support for the war in Iran. The king, accompanied by Queen Camilla, began his day by meeting President Donald Trump at the White House. In the afternoon, the king addressed the U.S. Congress, making him the first British monarch to do so since Queen Elizabeth II in 1991. The day will end with a buzzy dinner at the White House. ANOTHER DAMN ATTEMPT ON TRUMP...OK CMON ALREADY....SMH
MARK AND BROCK DISCUSS THE DEBACLE at the correspondents' dinner... President Donald Trump and officials in his administration were the likely targets of a suspect who fired on a security agent guarding the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington, U.S. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said on Sunday. The man fired a shotgun at a Secret Service agent at a checkpoint in the Washington Hilton hotel before being tackled and arrested. Nothing about the assailant's attempt makes sense so conspiracy theories run rampant. Mark thinks it could be staged. Brock does not think MAGA is competent enough to pull off a ruse.Trump and first lady Melania Trump were rushed out of the dinner. Kash Patel and RFK Jr. clowned themselves with cowardly behavior. MAGA scavengers hoarded liquor bottles on the way out the door.

MAGAS FAMILY FEUD OVER MAXWELL PARDON & RIDICULOUS IRAN WAR...
Mark and Brock discuss....President Trump announced on Saturday that he canceled U.S. officials’ planned travel to Pakistan for another round of negotiations with Iran. Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner were set to travel to Islamabad on Saturday to take part in these talks, but the president said in a Truth Social post on Saturday afternoon that he called off the trip. Iranian officials had declined to meet directly. MAGA loyalists are also going off about trump possibly giving Maxwell a pardon, as victims try to get and audience with King Charles who is set to visit the US in the next week. we also tackle the NFL's phony acceptance of its players of color at the NFL draft--

Who is Representing the Best Interests of the American People? Certainly Not Jared and the Mad King
Brock and Mark discuss Trump's accelerating dementia and psychopathy as he rants at Chinese and Indian-Americans overnight and falls asleep in the Oval Office by day. But for an Administration hell bent on stripping back DEI in the name of opportunities for the best and the brightest, the ironic nepotism of having unqualified Jared Kushner and Stev Witkoff supposedly representing American interest would be comical if not so Corrupt. The conversation wraps up with a call to decency and courage by the press corps in an appeal to boycott the White House Correspondents dinner. Cocktailing with White Supremacy did not play well in 1936 Germany and won't look any better to future Americans. There is a time to stand on one's convictions.

WE'RE LOSING THE BATTLE AND THE PROPOGANDA WAR...
Trumps ridiculous war is the topic for Mark and Brock's discussion. The war is costing every segment of the population except the Epstein Class. Gas is through the roof, the military budget is insane at more than a billion a day and the US Navy was just chased out of the Strait of Hormuz. In better news VA Redistricting vote falls the Democrats way by a razor thin margin. The pair also laments the rising jet fuel prices wreaking havoc on the global airline industry with Lufthansa cutting 20,000 flights. An explosion in West Virginia triggers a frustration with the absurdly effective "less regulations" messaging of the Republican Party to the actual working class which is killed by the lack of protections.

MARK AND BROCK SAY, Forget covering protests — some reporters think they should be the ones making the ruckus.A group of over 250 journalists implored members of the Beltway press corps to “forcefully demonstrate opposition” to President Trump at the ritzy White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday. Trump, 79, is set to attend the swanky dinner for the first time in his presidency. But the group of 250 reporters is demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) ensure he doesn’t feel welcome.Kash Patel sues The Atlantic over report alleging excessive drinking and absencesThe FBI director is seeking $250 million from the magazine after it published a report about his alleged behavior and leadership at the bureau.

Can We Expect More Violence in a Depressed and Despondent America with Too Many Guns?
Mark and Brock discuss a wave of gun violence including the tragic death of eight children in Louisiana. But with diminished economic conditions for most Americans the tension levels within families is certain to rise. And with absurd levels of gun ownership in America, mass shootings are inevitable. However, since MAGA Republicans control all the levers of power there is no chance for any changes in policy. Yet another issue Democrats need to include in their future vision for a better version of the United States. #gunviolence

Trump Intimidating People into Silence: Free Speech is His Enemy. We Can't Shut Up!
This panel discussion covers current geopolitical tensions, media integrity, societal censorship, and the influence of corporate America on free speech. The hosts analyze recent political events, media bias, and societal shifts impacting American democracy. Mark and Brock explore the efforts by the Trump Admin to silence criticism by intimidating corporate America, which in turn has been telling its workers to "keep their head down" to not invite scrutiny. Textbook authoritarian playbook tactic to squelch dissent. The American people must resist the fear of retribution and continue to speak out. There is strength in numbers.

THE EPSTEIN CLASS...Will They Ever Be Held Accountable...Whats Blanche Hiding?
Brock and Mark discuss the latest revelations about the ongoing Trump / Epstein cover-up are truly disturbing. We now know that the DOJ has withheld millions of pages of Epstein documents from Congress — in direct violation of the law that was passed by Congress (nearly unanimously) and signed by Trump himself.A bipartisan group of lawmakers say the DOJ has gone too far with its redactions, and the limited release itself is an outright violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump reluctantly signed into law after it passed Congress almost unanimously. The law directed the DOJ to release all files by December 19, 2025 - and Acting AG Todd Blanche is breaking the law by deliberately not doing so.Most recently, he served for more than a year as deputy attorney general, the No. 2 spot overseeing the department’s daily operations. But just as crucially, he was also Trump’s personal attorney.Blanche helped Trump survive multiple criminal cases between his terms in office, defending him from prosecutors and appearing by his side during his conviction in New York in a hush money case. The president has said he did nothing wrong.Blanche, 51, a Denver native, is “a very talented and respected Legal Mind,” Trump said in a Truth Social post announcing the move.Blanche has other attributes that appeal to Trump. He projects confidence, commands broad respect, has an understanding of “the mission at hand” and is a skilled public communicator — something Trump values deeply, according to a person close to the White House who has knowledge of Trump’s discussions.

Trump as Jesus Schtick Falls Flat, Vance Goes 0-for-2 and Swallwell Implodes: Bad Day for Bad Men
The Trump delusions reached new lows as his depiction of Jesus the Savior evolved to just a Doctor after pushback from religious leaders. After the Pope had already hit back at his threats and comments. The bloom is off the rose even in MAGA circles. Of course JD Vance has been of no help with a feeble showing with Orban in Hungary and then pathetic negotiating with Jared in the Middle East. A big zero in terms of contribution JD look like dead man walking and Brock argues we are witnessing the beginning of the end for his political career. But Dems did not get through the day unscathed as Eric Swallwell resigned from Congress during the podcast. Brock had argued his inner circle resigning was a very bad omen. There was no one in the foxhole with Swallwell and his PR counter-messaging had fallen flat. The mediocre men are in decline. The Resistance should be invigorated about the prospect that Trump can be taken out with constant and increased pressure.

MELANIA APPARENTLY GOES ROGUE AND WE'RE WONDERING--WHY NOW?
MARK AND BROCK try to figure out why....First lady Melania Trump’s seemingly out-of-the-blue statement Thursday denying affiliation with disgraced sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein left people still wondering Friday what prompted the public declaration at a time when the case had receded from the spotlight. Why on earth would the first lady voluntarily raise her husband’s worst scandal? It seems crazy—but it shows how low he has fallen.Reading prepared remarks at the White House on Thursday, Melania Trump said she and her attorneys were fighting back against “unfound and baseless lies” in regards to her connections to the late financier, a convicted sex offender who leveraged connections to the rich, powerful and famous to recruit his victims and cover up his crimes.“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she said. “The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility and respect. I do not object to their ignorance, but rather I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation.”

THE CEASEFIRE THAT BACKFIRED ON TRUMP...
BROCK AND MARK DISCUSS...The United States and Iran both claimed victory Wednesday after the two countries and Israel agreed to a two-week ceasefire to halt more than a month of war, even as more drones and missiles hit the Islamic Republic and Gulf Arab states. Israel has pushed forward its war against the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon, striking dense commercial and residential areas of Beirut without warning. Lebanon said at least 182 people were killed and hundreds were wounded, making it the deadliest day in the latest Israel-Hezbollah war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said early Wednesday that the ceasefire deal doesn’t cover fighting against Hezbollah, contradicting what Pakistan, the deal’s broker, and other nations had said. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and the U.S. demanded that Iran immediately reopen it.

An intense discussion on current geopolitical tensions, war crimes, and the state of American politics, featuring insights into Iran, Russia, and the upcoming elections in Hungary and Georgia. Mark and Brock question whether the American people will sit by idly as Trump drags the United States into pariah status as war criminals. Trump is Commander-in-Chief. He leads America's military on behalf of the people. If the citizens accept the actions, they are complicit in the actions. we can only hope it will trigger a real Resistance movement. Black MAGA Celebs: Hurting the Cause or Just a Nuisance?
This episode explores the complex dynamics within the Black community regarding political support, social justice, and cultural identity. It features candid insights on recent controversies, historical context, and the importance of unity and understanding in social activism. Mark dives in with a sharp critique of the recent black celebrities to fly their MAGA colors, including Chili, Nick Cannon and Nicki Minaj as well as some bigger names such as Ice Cude, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne. Mark says the latest strategy is to hit these celebs in the pocketbook by boycotting their concerts, shows and music. While there have always been traitors to the cause, Mark is particularly disappointed in Trump 2.0 support as the lesson should have been learned the first go around. White supremacy is clearly now the goal and no black person should be in support of that effort.#blackmaga #blackamerica #blackhistory

Trump DOESNT Understand The Enemy As Fighter Pilot Is Missing After Getting Shot Down...
BROCK AND MARK discuss U.S. forces searching for an F-15E crew member after a two-seater fighter jet went down over Iran, a U.S. official said Friday. The other crew member has been rescued. Iran shot down the F-15E Strike Eagle, a U.S. official said, and the American military was scrambling to find the second aviator after a regional governor offered a bounty for its crew.A U.S. aircraft that was mobilized to support the search and rescue mission was also struck by Iranian fire after the F-15E jet was downed, a U.S. official told NBC News. That aircraft, a single-pilot A-10 Thunderbolt, known as a Warthog, made it to Kuwaiti airspace, where the pilot ejected and the aircraft crashed, the official said. The pilot is safe and the A-10 is down in Kuwait, according to the official.

Trump SPEECH last Night--Basically WTF Did He Say???
mark and Brock discuss the fact that Trump declared Wednesday night that the U.S. offensive in Iran is “nearing completion” but warned that military operations would intensify over the “next two to three weeks.” He attempted to clarify his goals for the war — to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities — and insisted it was never about regime change. And he shrugged off the spike in oil and gas prices as a “short-term increase.” #trumpspeech #pambondi #bondifired

Why Would Women and Black Americans Join Hegseth's Military?
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's disgraceful and un-American decision to refuse the promotion of two women and Black officer to the rank of 1-star General is yet another disgraceful chapter in the Trump 2.0 Admin. If our military is racist and misogynist, it will deter future enrollments. For today, it hurts morale. Bigger picture the American people have come to expect their military to be a true meritocracy. Our national security is on the line. The best people should be promoted. All biases and prejudice is expected to be put aside for the greater goal of national security. But Hegesth, he of the White Christian Nationalism and Nazi leanings, brings all his racism and gender bias to the job. And his boss, the Commander-in-Chief is happy to oblige. This is a huge step backwards for the readiness of our armed forces and an embarrassment to the country and the American citizens.

Trump Pitches a Fantasy While Reality for Americans Gets Bleaker
Donald Trump's divorce from reality accelerates as he tries to convince Americans that his disastrous policies are actually positive. He pitches that soaring energy prices are actually good for the economy. The lies have come so fast and furious that just two days after blaming Iran for bombing their own elementary school, he pleads ignorance when questioned after it is determined America killed the children. Trump's dementia and pathological lying has caught up to him in the failed Iran War execution and messaging. The American people are against the war. Europe countries want no part. Even clarity on who decides how to end the conflict is murky. But Trump is not mentally capable of analyzing the situation. He is totally unfit. The Iran War bumbling leaves no doubt.

Markwayne Mullin in her place, made the announcement on social media after Noem faced a two-day grilling on Capitol Hill this week from GOP members as well as Democrats.Noem’s departure marks a stunning turnaround for a close ally to the president who was tasked with steering his centerpiece policy of mass deportations.
