Welcome to the 2 Sided Mirror, a podcast that empowers you to rise, heal and thrive after domestic violence, trauma and mental health challenges. I'm your host DM Baker, and my mission is simple: to turn your pain into power, your struggles into growth and your journey into a testament of resilience. In this episode, we visit the opposite of Part 2, the "dirty streets" of social media and how they affect your mental health. This is about the ones who log in not to connect, but to destroy. They bully, threaten, and harass. The tear down small businesses, belittle others and fabricate lies just to make themselves look better. Behind every screen they hide their cruelty, leaving real people to bear the weight of their words and actions. Social media has become their playground and the battlefield is someone else's mind.

In this episode, we go down the "dirty streets" of social media. "What if everything you've been scrolling through online ins't what it seems? What if some of the pain you see is real and some of it is a performance for clout, likes and followers? Some people turn mental health into a show, sending emails to themselves, texting others to create drama, or going live to manipulate thousands of people into feeling sympathy or outrage. The line between real struggle and performance becomes blurred, and it can leave the rest of us questioning what's true, what's safe and what's real. Welcome to the 2 Sided mirror Podcast where today we will expose the truth behind mental health, trauma and stories some tell, the ones we show to the world, and the ones we hide from ourselves. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!!

    Unhealed Trauma - Therapy

Welcome to the 2 Sided Mirror Podcast, I am DM Baker your host. Today we discuss your unhealed trauma, how it affects every part of your life. You deserve to heal from what you went through, what broke you and I personally feel as if therapy is very important. Healing is not about being broken, it's about learning how those painful experiences shaped you and learning to gently re-write them. I use to believe that the person who broke me had to fix me, had to be a part of that healing journey! NO, you and only you can heal yourself. It took me 264 sessions to realize how broken I truly was. More in depth of my therapy sessions are located in Book 2 (releasing soon)!

  19. 5

    Therapy Part 2

In any kind of trauma or Domestic Violence, therapy is very important. Here I share my experience in Part 2 as I healed with therapy but only threw God's grace and mercy.

  20. 4

    Therapy Part 1

Therapy can be a scary place at times. When you first enter the therapists office, the smells can trigger you. The noises can trigger you. Attending therapy is your first step. Being open and honest is your second step. Please don't get me wrong, therapy doesn't happen overnight. It took me three years to get where I am. To succeed in life. To be resilient. It's not an easy road. It can stir up nightmares and PTSD. It can send you backwards. Going backwards to heal forward is an amazing place to be.
