    Peace over Panic

This episode of the 7-Minute Coach Podcast, titled "Peace over Panic," teaches you how to stop anxiety from hijacking your thoughts by intentionally returning your mind and body to God. Panic creates false urgency and narrows your focus to perceived threats, but peace is found by trusting the One who remains Lord over what feels wrong. Drawing on Philippians 4, Kim reminds us that prayer and thanksgiving allow God's peace to actively guard our hearts and minds. Other anchoring scriptures include Isaiah 26:3 and 2 Timothy 1:7, reminding us that God keeps us in perfect peace when our minds are on Him, giving us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind rather than fear. The 7-Minute Practice ("Panic to Peace"):Minute 1 (Name it): Write exactly one honest sentence about what is happening right now, and then add, "This is anxiety, not prophecy".Minutes 2 & 3 (Settle your body): Send a signal of safety to your nervous system. Put both feet on the floor, drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and take five slow breaths—inhaling for four counts and exhaling for six.Minutes 4 & 5 (Reframe with truth): Ask yourself what the truest thing is about God and the situation right now, anchoring your answers in scripture.Minutes 6 & 7 (Choose the next right step): Pick one small, faithful action (like sending an email or stepping outside) to move forward instead of trying to solve your entire future today.

Calling - Who You Become and Who You Serve

Podcast Theme: Understanding that every believer shares a three-fold calling that provides both stability and direction for lifeKey Question: What if your calling isn't primarily about what you do, but about who you are becoming and who you are called to serve?Core Message: Your calling has three unchanging dimensions - you are called to salvation (relationship with God), sanctification (becoming like Christ), and service (loving others). Within this framework, you discover your specific expression of calling.Key Points:Calling to Salvation: Your first and foundational calling is into relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This establishes your identity as God's beloved child.Calling to Sanctification: You are called to become more like Christ every day. This calling never changes as long as you have breath - character development is central to your calling.Calling to Service: You are called to love and serve others. The specific expression often relates more to who you serve than what you do.Integration: These three callings work together - your identity grounds you, your character shapes you, and your service directs your energy.Discernment: Discover your specific calling to serve by asking: Who breaks my heart? Who do I naturally connect with? Where have I seen results? What unique perspective do I bring? Where is God already opening doors?Practical Application:Thank God for calling you to salvation - let this truth settle into your identityIdentify one area where God is calling you to grow in Christlikeness right nowIdentify the specific people or community you sense God calling you to serveAsk God: "How do You want me to serve them this week?"Key Takeaway:You don't have to be anxious about your calling. Everything else is simply the specific expression of these three callings in your unique life with your unique gifts.Scripture References:Ephesians 4:1 - "Live a life worthy of the calling you have received"2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 - Called to salvation and sanctification1 Peter 2:9 - Called out of darkness into light to declare His praises
