Have you ever been through a trial or period of discouragement, and then you received a note or message from a friend that really ministered to you? That’s exactly what the Lord did for the church in Smyrna in the second chapter of Revelation. Smyrna was suffering persecution for their faith, and also tribulation and poverty.
