A Life with Paul Carmichael
by Paul Carmichael
Everyone knows the legend. But how did the person become the legend? A Life is a new narrative biography podcast exploring the extraordinary lives of the people who shaped our world, our culture and our imaginations. From John Lennon and Elizabeth I to David Bowie, William Shakespeare, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Austen and many more, each life is told across five episodes, allowing the story to unfold properly, from childhood and family, through the experiences, relationships, triumphs and failures that shaped them, to the moment they became the person history remembers. This isn't a list of dates, achievements and famous quotations. It's an attempt to get underneath the legend and find the human being who existed before the world knew their name. Because the most interesting part of a famous life isn't necessarily what someone became. It's how they became it.
