Intimate Relationships with Otherworldly Beings with Dr. Megan Rose
The Bride of Christ is a well-known term in the Christian tradition. But can you also be married to an angel? The Blessed Virgin? Or Gwyn ap Nudd, King of the Welsh Fairies, as is the case for Dr. Megan Rose? The practice of marrying a deity is as old as humanity, and has been practiced across many cultures and traditions all over the world — long before the cross and Christian mysticism merged. In my conversation with Dr. Megan Rose — religious scholar, mystic and interfaith minister — we’re exploring how intimate bonded relationships with otherworldly beings can contribute to our personal growth and healing as well as the conscious evolution of the human species. In our conversation, we explore:* Entheosis: the practice of awakening your Divine Self (in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the Divine Self is also known as your Holy Guardian Angel)* Megan’s 3 Ds of spirit marriage: devotion, discernment and discipline* how to heighten your intuition with sensitisation practices to establish contact and deepen in relationship with your spirit Beloved* divine aspecting, and how human partnerships can support (or sometimes hinder) a bonded relationship with a deity* the ways gender and sexual orientation play a part in spirit partnerships* Kundalini: how our inherent life-force energy feels erotic, enlivening and activating (but can also be accessed as a celibate)* becoming a Christed being by modelling the co-creative love-relationship between Magdalene and Yeshua by embodying the presence of Christ* Ida Craddock, the 19th century mystic, sex-educator and women’s freedom and pleasure advocate who was martyred for loving an angelDr. Megan Rose is a Ceremonial Magician, Witch, Druid, and a Shakta Tantric practitioner. She holds a Ph.D. in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and an M.A. in Religion and Ethics from the Graduate Theological Union. She is chair of the Pastoral Counseling and Chaplaincy department at Cherry Hill Seminary.Dr. Rose’s teachings and practice focus on the integration of Pagan and animistic spiritualities within a transpersonal psychological framework. She is on a mission to NORMALIZE THE PARANORMAL by helping people step into deeper relationship with other-than-human intelligences. Dr. Rose is the author of Spirit Marriage: Intimate Relationships with Otherworldly Beings. Soul Recognition, Spirit Marriage and Coming Home to Christ w/ Neriya as a Guest on GirlChurch
When Shelly Shepherd recently asked me what it felt like to marry Christ after staying in solicitude and silence with the Beloved for years, I had no words. It’s hard to explain the depth of the experience. As I reflected on her question afterwards, what came was a sense of Homecoming: “Finally.” Like an exhale after centuries of holding my breath. Of being found after a lifetime of searching for the Beloved. Our conversation was the first time I shared about this with another person in public. I’m grateful for Shelly’s presence, openness and the sacred space she holds for women to share their voices on GirlChurch.Read the full story in my memoir, Sacred Fire, here: https://nadianeriya.substack.com/p/sacred-fire-a-mystics-love-storyDownload our free audio practice, "Wrapped in Yeshua's Arms" for FREE: https://nadianeriya.substack.com/p/free-welcome-giftJoin Lovers of God, our online sanctuary: https://nadianeriya.substack.com/p/membership Get full access to A Mystic in Christ at nadianeriya.substack.com/subscribe

Erotic Love Mysticism and the Desire for God
What if your longing for love… is actually a desire for God?In this episode, Neriya explores the hidden stream of erotic love mysticism within Christianity - where desire is not something to suppress, but a sacred doorway into divine union.Drawing on the writings of Mechthild of Magdeburg, Teresa of Ávila, John of the Cross, and Bernard of Clairvaux, this episode reveals how the great mystics understood longing, intimacy, and union with God... and how to live this today, as a modern mystic. You’ll discover:-Why desire is not opposed to spirituality—but part of it-The difference between egoic craving and sacred longing-How the body becomes a vessel for divine presence-Why the soul has been described as the “bride” of God across traditions-How to approach your own longing for divine union without shameThis episode bridges theology and lived experience, offering a path for modern mystics, spiritual seekers, and lovers of the Light who feel drawn to a more intimate relationship with Christ. If you’ve ever felt a deep, almost indescribable longing for Union… this one is for you.Go deeper with us:If you long to explore these things in a safe container, our online member's community, Lovers of God, is the place.Learn more and join us HERE.Subscribe to Substack for weekly podcast episodes and book excerpts from my memoir, Sacred Fire: A Mystic's Love Story, HERE. Jesus Did NOT Die For Your "Sins" with Prof. Dr. Rev. Jon Paul Sydnor
What is the meaning of the crucifixion? How can we celebrate Easter without the guilt-enforcing doctrines of "Jesus died for your sins"? Theologian and reverent JP Sydnor says traditional atonement theology is wrong, because God is not cruel. Love wants mercy, not sacrifice. This deep discussion sheds new light on old beliefs. May it bring healing to you and a relationship to Yeshua that's not based in fear, but Love. Resources:1. Mary Magdalene and Her Ancient Lineage of Divine Feminine Mysteries
When modern mystics speak of a “Magdalene lineage,” they are pointing to a stream of feminine initiatory spirituality flowing across cultures. What I’m about to share in this episode lives in the realm of mystical Christianity, esoteric tradition, and symbolic theology. This is not established church history–perhaps for a reason. Some of these revelations have come through my own lived experience, some are mystical transmissions from Yeshua, and some are based in modern mystical scholarship. If you wish to go deeper into the living memory of the Magdalene line, here are three ways you can do that:1. Read these books and transmissions.2. Join our global community, Lovers of God.3. Subscribe to A Mystic in Christ on Substack. This episode explores:-the meaning of Mary’s name—Magdalene—as both priestess title and place-her priestess lineage of divine feminine mysteries—from Isis to Sophia and Inanna, from ancient Mesopotamia to Egypt and the rose city of Petra-how Miriam (Hebrew for Mary) and Yeshua co-initiated each other as equals-the return of the anthrophos—the perfect, complete human being that is fully human and fully divine (the archetype we’re all invited to embody now)-the meaning of Christ as our One Self, beyond gender or the man, Yeshua-my experience of meeting Magdalene in meditation through my own womb-what it actually means to walk the Magdalene priestess path of embodied devotion, sacred union, and divine intimacy as a modern woman todaySo much ancient wisdom has been forgotten, buried, burned, lost, hidden, gone underground. And now, She is rising to the surface again. In the hearts and wombs of women (and men) all over the world. The remembrance is slow, but it cannot be stopped. It is already happening. If you feel a pull toward the divine feminine, if you long to live in embodied, devotional relationship, if your heart calls you Home to Love from within…You are not deluded. You are awakening.May this episode help your mind integrate the rising remembrance of what you already know in your body. Get full access to A Mystic in Christ at nadianeriya.substack.com/subscribe

Christian Purity Culture and New Age Promiscuity Culture Aren’t Working. What’s Next?
Neriya explores two powerful cultural narratives shaping modern sexuality: Christian purity culture and the spiritualized promiscuity often found in New Age and tantra circles.Though they appear opposite, both extremes often leave people disconnected from the deeper truth of sacred intimacy.Through personal stories, cultural reflection, and mystical insight, Neriya explores how shame, repression, and spiritual bypassing can distort our relationship with the body, love, and the feminine principle.Drawing from psychology, spiritual traditions, and her own journey through modern spiritual communities, she asks a deeper question:What does sacred sexuality actually look like? This conversation explores:• The psychological roots of purity culture and sexual shame• How “spiritual” promiscuity can mask avoidant attachment or ego dynamics• The Madonna–Whore split and the historical shaming of the feminine• Why integrity, safety, and devotion are the real foundations of sacred intimacy• Reclaiming your erotic innocence—a reverent way of inhabiting the body and relationshipAt the heart of the episode is a simple but profound insight:Shame does not create sacred sexuality. But neither does indulgence. Reverence does.Neriya also shares how the ancient mystical language of the Song of Songs reveals a deeper covenant of love between the soul and the Beloved. In this episode you’ll discover:-Why repression and promiscuity both fail to create real embodied intimacy-How modern dating culture commodifies connection-The spiritual and psychological importance of boundaries-A Third Way: a new vision for sacred, embodied loveIf you feel caught between cultural confusion about sex and your deeper longing for love, devotion, and integrity—this episode offers a path forward.✨ This is a general teaching not meant to offer advice. Forgiving Childhood Sexual Abuse with Grace Emerson
Grace and I first met in 2012, when her angels told her to contact me because I’d been praying for womb healing. Although hesitant, she wrote me on Facebook. What followed can only be described as a powerful shamanic healing/demonic exorcism ritual with her Reiki-healer roommate. We’ve been besties ever since. 7 years ago, she told me that she is looking for someone to help her share her story of healing and forgiveness after she’d been sexually abused long ago. When I recently came across Podcastathon—the podcasting world’s largest charity event—I also found a charity to promote: The Forgiveness Project. Suddenly, it became clear that I would be the person my friend needed to midwife her story of healing and forgiveness. This podcast episode is not only dedicated to The Forgiveness Project and Grace, but to everyone who has been through the worst and is learning how to heal and forgive gently.May our conversation bring you hope, nourishment, and inspiration. ‼️Trigger warning: This episode contains descriptions of very sensitive subjects such as childhood sexual abuse and alcohol addictions within the family. Please listen mindfully. PS: If you do listen, stay with us until the end: there’s a real miracle that happened that night after Grace and I recorded the episode and did a ritual of release. God in the Silence: Yeshua on Intimacy Without Conditions
