Today, we are in Deuteronomy 24 and 25. This is the last day we will cover two chapters. The rest of Deuteronomy will be one chapter a day. We are going to learn about divorce and Levitical marriage. Are you married? Are you happily married?

In Deuteronomy 23, we will learn about some who are excluded from the assembly, uncleanness in the camp, and miscellaneous other laws. Purity is not a concept we talk about much anymore. Is your behavior pure by biblical standards?

Today is day nineteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We take two chapters again today, chapters 21 and 22, concerning various laws to live by in the Promised Land. The Bible has much to say about sexual relations. Do you conduct your life accordingly?

Today is day eighteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We cover two chapters today, Deuteronomy 19 and 20; they go together. They have to do with laws concerning cities of refuge, witnesses, and warfare. Have you ever uttered the statement, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”? If so, you were quoting Deuteronomy 19:21.

In Deuteronomy 18, we are going to learn about how to take care of Levitical priests and about a successor to Moses. How do you take care of your pastor or priest today?

Today is day sixteen on our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We are on chapter 17, more rules of how to live when crossing over to the Promised Land. Are you a rule-abiding citizen of God’s kingdom?

Today is day fifteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. Chapter 16 covers Passover and a couple of the feasts. Do you understand Passover? Do you celebrate feasts today?

Today brings us to Deuteronomy 15. We have the poor among us. How did God instruct Israel to handle the poor? How do you deal with the poor among us today?

In Deuteronomy 14, we will learn about clean and unclean food and some lessons about tithing. What do you think about tithing, is it still applicable today?

Today is one of the four days in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy we cover two chapters, Deuteronomy 12 and 13. Chapter 12 will cover the Lord’s chosen place to worship, and chapter 13 will cover a warning against idolatry.

In Deuteronomy 11, Moses reminds the Israelites to love and serve the Lord. He covers the blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience. Are you obedient or disobedient? Are you blessed or cursed?

In Deuteronomy 10, Moses reminds the people about the time when God provided them a second set of stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments. Aren’t you glad God is a God of the second chance? Do you need a second chance?

In Deuteronomy 9, Moses reminds the people again, it is not their righteousness that brings them into the Promised Land. And he reminds them of the golden calf incident in the desert. How are you going to get into the Promised Land? Do you have golden calves in your life?

In Deuteronomy 8, we are reminded to remember the Lord our God. Do you look back? What do you remember about God’s intersections in your life?

Deuteronomy 7 is about a chosen people, a people set apart by God. Are you chosen, set apart by God?

Deuteronomy 6 contains the greatest commandment. Is it one of the Ten Commandments? Do you live by it?

In Deuteronomy 5, Moses reviews the Ten Commandments with a new generation. Do you know the Ten Commandments? Do you live by them?

In Deuteronomy 4, we will learn Moses commands obedience and God is God alone. Are you obedient to God’s laws, His statutes, His teachings? To you, is He the only one true God?

In Deuteronomy 3, we will learn why Moses cannot enter the Promised Land as he recounts the many times God intervened in the journey of Israel. Do you remember your blessings? Do you share with others where God intervened in your life journey?

Deuteronomy 2 is a continuation of Moses’ summary of time in the wilderness started in chapter 1. Throughout this chapter, God selects whom He wills to carry out His plan. He is selective. Does He have a plan for you? Are you willing to be selected?

In Deuteronomy 1, Moses begins a summary of what happened in the forty years in the wilderness. Have you been rebellious, maybe even been disobedient?

Today, we finish with the last two chapters of Numbers, chapters 35 and 36, concerning cities for Levites and cities of refuge, and we wrap up the Book of Numbers.

In Numbers 33 and 34, we will recount the journey Israel has taken through the wilderness, and we will look at the boundaries of the land. When you look back at your life, do you see God’s fingerprints?

In Numbers 31 and 32, we will look at vengeance from the Lord, and we will also look at a couple of tribes that possess their land before they get to the Promised Land. Do you fight your battles God’s way, or your way?

In Numbers 29 and 30, we are going to learn more about offerings on various feasts and vows. We will also read about the relationship between fathers and daughters and husbands and wives. Is the Word still relevant in our culture today?

In Numbers 27 and 28, we will see the succession of Moses to Joshua and various offerings. Who have you succeeded? Who will succeed you?

In Numbers 25 and 26, we will see Israel worship Baal, and we will have a new census of a new generation. Obedience still matters to God. Does it still matter to you?

We are going to hear Balaam speak today in Numbers 23 and 24. Are you listening for God’s voice through others?

In Numbers 21 and 22, we are going to learn about the bronze serpent lifted up in the wilderness and a talking donkey. Does God try to speak to you through some unconventional means?

In Numbers 19 and 20, we will learn more about laws of purification while living in the wilderness, the struggle for water in the desert, what keeps Moses out of the Promised Land, and the death of Aaron. Can disobedience keep you from the Promised Land?

Today, we will cover Numbers 17 and 18. Chapter 17 is about Aaron’s staff and chapter 18 is about the duties of priests and Levites. What do you think about tithing?

Today brings us to Numbers 15 and 16. In chapter 14, we learned the people were going to be stuck in the wilderness for forty years. They have to know how to live, so these chapters present a few laws they have to live by while they are in the wilderness. Do you have a rebellious spirit?

In Numbers 13 and 14, the spies are sent to look over the land of Canaan, and the people rebel. How do you see things, from physical or spiritual eyes?

In Numbers 11 and 12, as the Israelites begin to move across the wilderness, they complain to Moses. Chapter 11 is thirty-five verses and chapter 12 is sixteen verses. Let the complaints begin. Do you complain to God?

Numbers 9 is about celebrating Passover and Numbers 10 is about Israel moving toward the Promised Land. To move or not to move is our question today.

In Numbers 7 and 8, we will learn about offerings at the tabernacle’s consecration. Chapter 8 will feature cleansing the Levites and retirement of the Levites. Do you go along with the crowd or stand alone?

In Numbers 5 and 6, we are past the census detail of chapters 1-4, so these will be more interesting chapters concerning confession, restitution, the test of adultery, and the Nazirite vow. Do you know the Nazirite vow?

Numbers 3 and 4 outline duties of the priests, the Levites, and duties concerning the tent of meeting. Do you have any duties assigned by God?

In Numbers 1 and 2, Israel numbers over 603,000, fulfilling God’s promise to Abraham that He would make him a great nation.

Today, we conclude the Book of Leviticus. You made it! Congratulations! Chapter 27 is about vows and valuations. As we finish, our last question is do you love the Book of Leviticus more? We hope so.

In Leviticus 26, we are going to learn about blessings for obedience and punishment for disobedience. Are you experiencing blessings or curses based on your level of obedience?

Leviticus 25 is about the Sabbath year, the Year of Jubilee, and some other key issues. In your turbo-charged life, do you take time to rest?

In Leviticus 24, there are instructions the Lord wants the people of Israel to know. It also includes the famous verse, “eye for eye, tooth for tooth” (v. 20). What does that highly quoted verse really mean?

In Leviticus 23, we will cover some of the feasts of the Lord. What holidays do you set aside to worship and honor God?

In Leviticus 22, we are going to learn more about holiness as required by God from people, sacrifices, and offerings. How do you express your holiness to God?

Leviticus 18 is an important chapter in the Book of Leviticus concerning sexual relationships. One of our greatest temptations is sexual temptation. How have you handled it in your life, according to your flesh or according to the Word?

In Leviticus 17, we will learn about places to sacrifice and laws against eating blood. Do you like your steak rare, medium, or well done?
