Transformed - Module Three - Session Four
In this session we spend some time connecting the ideas of the spirit with the flesh and the flesh with the spirit. This was done to ensure that the elements of spiritual progress do not become disconnected with earthly problems. If we allow this disconnection then challenges can become temptations rather than trials. In other words, we can shrink rather than grow. So Challenges are going to happen (John 16:33), our job is to make sure that we turn the challenge into a trial, not a temptation. In therapy this is thought of as staying intentional not drifting into victimhood. This helps us to nderstand how to make our 'normal lives' spiritually motivated (Phil 4:13). We also inspired some great sharing from the participants around their experience of transformation, and their struggles with the flesh. Transformed- Module Three - Session Three
In this, the third session in Module Three, we look deeper into what it is that helps us cope well with the reality of 'normal life'. From Matthew 5:37 and let your yes be yes and your no be no, all the way to assessing the equality of our relationships from a perspective of avoiding looking down on someone or looking up to them. Another aspect of this video is from 1 Peter 2:15, which encourages us to trust that our own behaviour is the best way to influence others around us. Another important aspect of this session is from Mark 3 and verse 25. Taking this idea that a house divided against itself cannot stand, we bring the idea that you, as a house yourself, should be concentrating on being in harmony with yourself first and foremost. Please consider liking, subscribing and sharing this video with others that may benefit.

Transformed - Module Three - Session Two
In this session we continue to support people in coping with normal life responsibilities. Using Matthew 5 and verse 37 we look at the idea of saying and meaning 'yes' and 'no', and how this relates to our attitudes and beliefs as they construct our relationships. We then take a deeper look at the idea of 'oaths' or 'swearing by something'. Jesus says that this comes from the evil one and we show that oaths are manipulative and undermine your credibility. Of course this does not include things like oaths made in Court, since these are based upon the law rather than personal relationships, render unto Ceasar etc. If you are benefitting from these sessions. please consider sharing them with others as this really hels us get the message out there. Transformed - Module Three - Session One
In this Module we are going to be looking at the 'ground floor'. I call this the floor of normality, which can cause some people difficulties right of the bat. "What is normal anyway"? Whose normal etc. We keep this very simple and talk about things that pretty much everyone would consider part of, or within the parameters of, normal life. Paying bills, being where you said you would be, doing what you said you would do. Staying within the boundaries of the law, and managing relationships without things eroding into chaos. Personal boundaries and interpersonal relationships are the subject of the first session. Please consider sharing this podcast with others that you think might benefit.

Transformed - Module Two - Session Four
In this final session of Module Two we confirm that we are prepared to build what is seen on what is unseen. Our foundation will not be seen by anyone but you and the Lord! We also explore the idea of identity through Gods creation of family. When we see our identity this way, things become simpler and more ordered. We also look at the way you beome indistinguishable from God when we say his word, when we live in his will and when we follow his ways. Here is a link to the module two checklist. This will help you to assess if you are ready to continue forwards, or if you should go back and explore previous modules more. https://mcdn.podbean.com/mf/web/m653w27jpyzxfvie/Transformed_Module_Two_checklistaatsf.pdf

Transformed - Module Two - Session Three
This is the third session of our second Module - Foundation. In this session of live teaching at the message Trust https://maps.app.goo.gl/dS331ujc4KJTTAhq7 We think of rooms as individual relationships, which then produce personal responsibilities. This links to the idea of identity, which a lot of people struggle with. This Bible based approach says that your identity is formed by your roles in life. Father, Mother, brother, sister, these are the roles that God has designed and He uses them to knit us together as a fellowship of saints.

Transformed - Module Two - Session Two
We are now in the middle of the second module of four on this course. This one is called the ground floor. I call it the ground floor of 'normality' because it is built on the foundation and it supports the first floor of vision and ministry. In this live teaching session you will learn valuable and important guidance on how to begin working with your first 'part', following the ideas of unblending and the observer position. Here is a link to the book that accompanies the course. https://amzn.eu/d/1ZI28kt Please consider reading the book if you are getting something from these videos. It really helps me get the message out there. Thank you.

Transformed - Module Two - Session One
This is the first of the second module live teaching sessions. Following the first module on preparation, the second module will focus on building a solid and stable foundation on which to build our new life. Using Jesus' teaching from Matthew 7 and verse 24 onwards we will be encouraging people to build our house upon the 'rock' of the word of God. Transformed - Module One - Session Four
In this episode of live teaching we look at the question of LOCATION in considering building a new life. When we consider moving house, the question of who you will be moving away from, and who you will be moving closer to, should be considered. Even though our new house will be a metaphor (as used by jesus in Matthew 7:24) the question is still relevant. It is likely that the changes you want to make in your life will necessitate changing some relationships. In some cases it will be a simple adjustment of seeing some people less or a little more, but in other cases it may mean removing yourself from relationships, and this can be very difficult. It's not just the relationships with others, the real cost of the new house is the old house! And of course the relationship with yourself is the main component of the changes you will make. This session also introduces you to the concept of parts and invites you to consider and name your first 'part'. Thank you for taking the time to watch this session, and I hope you get a lot from it. Transformed - Module One - Session Three
In this video we approach the idea of preparation from the first of three main questions, namely cost. What are you wanting to achieve as part of your spiritual development? Whatever it is for you personally, the preparation you make will be a huge factor in your results. Spiritual progress is difficult if you do not understand the difference between the flesh and the spirit, and especially difficult if you do not kow that they can never mix! But once you understand this difference, and start by making a very clear distinction between the two of them, you can begin the process of inner discipling. This is one of the main resources that the Lord has left us once we are on a salvation journey.

Transformed - Module One - Session Two
The Transformed Course is for Christians who are struggling to make spiritual progress. It offers a Biblical approach that replaces the medical model. It's not only for people who have become dependent or addicted, but anyone who believes in the word of God and yet struggles to know how to put it into practice. The course has four modules PREPARATION, FOUNDATION, GROUND FLOOR and FIRST FLOOR. and uses the metaphor of buiding a new life which the Lord uses in Matthew 7 starting from verse 24. In this session, we see the work of preparation begin with the question of COST. Lots of questions and comments that lead to further clarity on the profound idea of inner discipling. These videos were filmed at the Message Trust in Wythenshaw in 2025. https://maps.app.goo.gl/sXuWfyCScQfnrJbDA Please consider sharing this course with anyone who might benefit. Transcendence - being an overcomer
In this episode we take the idea of transcendence and open up what it means, how it relates to the idea of overcoming that we get from the Bible, and what it might mean for your progress, development and recovery. The Bible says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord is an overcomer, but some Christians don't always feel this way. Especially when things don't go well, or they are disappointed with themselves. This episode shows the way towards contentment and growth following the Biblical approach.

Rights and Responsibilities
Following a trip to the William Wilberforce Museum I wanted to discuss the idea of rights and responsibiities from a Christian perspective. I'm including the subject of slavery as well as some of the consequences of getting this balance wrong. This is not the final word on this subject, but maybe a starting point for you to consider these complex questions. Below i a link to the Wilberforce story https://youtu.be/-9xAspR_9Yw?si=oAvydKHr_BbNDIlg

The process of salvation
One of the more common mistakes I see in Christians of all levels of experience is not making a clear enough distinction between salvation as an event and transformation as a process. In my work I have a saying "God does the healing and we do the recovery". In this episode you will hear how these things are different and how not making that clear distinction can lead to major difficulties in your progress. Than you for taking the time to listen to this. My new book - Chapter Eleven - My own journey
In this Chapter I share some experiences from my own journey of recovery and development, particularly about the effect of this approach on both my personal experience, as well as my expereince as a therapist. It amazes me every time I work with someone in this way. To see the transformation of experience every time someone is brave enough to begin the work of recovery. I hope that listening to some of my experience as I developed my skill and understanding as a therapist over the past 25 years, you will be encouraged to begin your own journey of learning and development along Biblical lines.
