We are a community of Armenian Christians who travel from London and beyond each week to be a part of this ministry. We seek to help Farsi, as well as Armenian and English Speaking community become confident and joyful disciples of Christ. We are a non-denominational evangelical church united under Christ, glorifying God and committed to living out the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit. We uphold the authority of the Bible; support and minister to one another, especially through small groups; raise up new generations of disciples; worship bilingually in Farsi, English and Armenian; and extend the grace of God into our homes, community and world. We believe that we are called by Jesus Christ to know Him and to make Him known to others. We welcome to our church family everyone who seeks Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour and we look forward to celebrating the unique contribution each makes to our common ministry “in, with, and for Christ Jesus.” We

Why do we need to be filled by the Holy Spirit?
Nine times in the New Testament we see mention of the disciples being filled with the Holy Spirit. This was a common occurrence in their lives. In the book of Ephesians Paul exhorts us, don’t be filled with wine but be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Brother Edward outlines why we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit: Without being filled with the Holy Spirit we would be weak and cowardly individuals.Holy Spirit is a spirit of knowledge and revelation.Without being filled with the Holy Spirit we will be individuals who are ignorant not knowing right from wrong.Without the Holy Spirit, our relationships will not be right. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because without being filled with the Holy Spirit we can not have good worship or effective prayer.

Our attitude in service
Our attitude and motives in service are the key to fruitfulness in our lives. We need to have the heart of Isaiah. To serve, knowing our own faults and weaknesses: 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8 The right motive is to glorify God and praise our Father in Heaven. Otherwise we will have no reward from our Father in Heaven. How we live on earth will affect our heavenly living. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2 Cor 5:10 Christ has already taken the punishment for sin for us. But each will stand before Him to be judged. He will be judging our reward and this depends on how we have lived our life on earth. Works and service that is not self-centered and glorifies God will be rewarded. Works done for self-glory will not be rewarded. No one can lay any other foundation than that this already been laid in Jesus Christ. We have the foundation in the forgiveness of sins from our faith in Jesus. James says that faith without works is dead. Here are some examples of crowns that are given in Heaven. Crown of righteousnessCrown of lifeCrown of the martyrCrown of glory These crowns opens up privileged positions in heaven. All in heaven are not equal i.e compare Paul to the thief on the cross. Do amazing things with the wrong motive it will be like worthless rags. Always do works to glorify your Father in heaven. How to pray, to give, to fast are important. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. Luke 21:2 The widows mite she gave two coins. She could have just given one, but she gave both giving everything. Jesus is not impressed by someone who builds a big Church building and names it after himself. But he is blessed by those that give what little they have. Build on the foundations that Jesus Christ has given us and like Isaiah lets me ready to go and be sent. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.Heb 11:1

Review of Romans
Message from Br. Charles. https://armenianicf.com/Podcasts/Charles100520.mp3 Brother Seth was one of the founders of the Iranian Church and had a talent for challenging everyone’s faith. Br. Charles recounts his experience of conversations with Br. Seth and the book of Romans. Romans 1 – Paul talks about Jesus and who he is, Jesus earthly and heavenly nature.Romans 2 – We are all sinners all are condemned to death because we are sinners. God is a God of all.Romans 3 – Key verse: “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-2 Romans 4 – Law shows what sin is in us, Law shows people how sinful they are.Romans 5 – Justified by faith in Jesus Christ. Adam and his rebellion, sin entered humanity. Christs obedience and blessing brought life.Romans 6 – We need to die to sin. “10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.” Romans 6:10 Romans 7 – Resurrected life no longer have a sin natures. A new nature of Christ in me. Devil can no longer accuse me because we don’t have our old natures. I have the nature of Christ. My new nature determines what I do in the future. “For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?” Romans 7:22-24 Romans 8 – No condemnation for those who are in Christ. Freedom from the spirit of death. Can’t change the law of gravity or other natural laws. Cannot change the law of the commandments. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 Are you in chapter 7 of Romans or chapter 8? Do you live in Romans 7 or 8? It is a daily choice we need to make. We can choose to do silly things but Christ is there ready to help us if we seek Him first. We must come out of our superficial understanding into the full life of Christ. Who will bring any charge to those that God has chosen?Christ Jesus who has died.Interceding for us, who can accuse us. There is no condemnation. We have a new nature. Live lives of resurrection who interceded for us. Jesus intercedes for us therefore no condemnation. Presence of Holy Spirit stops us from sinning, the more we feel the Holy Spirit presence

Fives stories of Hope from Easter
Five Messages from Easter by Br. Charles: http://armenianicf.com/Podcasts/Charles030520.mp3 Hope in death. Jesus died and was resurrected Hope in any situation Never too late 2. Hope in grief Mary Magdelene took care of Jesus Grieving as she saw Jesus on the cross Took care of his needs First at his grave Taking care of his life in death, put spicess, anoint him Sees an empty tomb Saw the resurrected Jesus Death is not the end She has hope in her grief 3. Hope in fellowship Fellowship of the saints Brothers and sisters in Christ Cleopas and his fellow companion on the road to Emaneus Mary recognised Jesus when he called him by name Breaks bread and shares fellowship is a spiritual act Community aspect of the meal We sit together pray together. 4. Hope for those who doubt Nothing wrong with those who doubt Not in the upper room when Jesus appeared after the resurrection Thomas puts hands in side wounds and has hope in the midst of doubt. My Lord and my God Recognised that Jesus was God. Jesus is patient with those who doubt Walk with you to all those that believe 5. Hope for when we are full of shame Peter everybody knows Took the ear off the soldier (he was brave) Peter Denied Jesus and cried and sobbed. Ran away from the scene Ashamed and humiliated Jesus gave him a second chance Do you love me God of the second chance Jesus restored Peter’s honour and lifts us up. God does not hold grudges God does nto hold our disobedience against us. What a contrast of Jesus running back to Jesus compared with Judas. Judas couldn’t face his shame. We have hope when we are full of shame. God of second chancesTell us of the love and that there is hope for everyone. No one on earth needs to be hopeless because of the death and resurrection of the Lord.He will pursue us until we bow our knee to Him.God’s love will not give up on us.

Rapture of the Church
Brother Edward takes a look at what the Bible has to say about the next coming of Christ, commonly referred to as the rapture. Jesus will come to gather his Church in a twinkling of an eye prior to returning to judge this world. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 New International Version (NIV) Believers Who Have Died 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death,so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Message: https://www.armenianicf.com/Podcasts/Edward101113_1700.mp3
