Welcome Back to another episode of BauerOur Radio! This week we have Mark Dowdle, who is an ultra marathon runner/beer mile extraordinaire. Recently, Mark won a last man standing race where we ran for 34 straight hours... He also completed "calendar club challenge" where we ran the number of miles equal to the day for a full year. Mark decided this challenge wasn't hard enough so he doubled down on the challenge by doubling the miles in the month of February, running a total of 874 miles. In his latest escapade, he ran from Chicago, IL to Windsor, ON (Canada) to complete in a professional beer mile event. Mark is tenacious and a real go getter. Quit is not in his blood and he is constantly testing the limits on what his body can handle. He is an inspiration to all and I think we can all learn something from a guy like Mark. Enjoy! Recently, our friend Nick Jones rallied together 10 of his best friends to celebrate his bachelor party in Medellín, Colombia. A lot of people we talked with prior to leaving called us crazy for going there, and were confused as to why Colombia was the spot of choice. In general, it is a safe place to visit, lots of cool tourist spots, great nightlife and loads of history. Making his long overdue first appearance on The Bauer Our is Jaxxon Anderson as well as recurring guest Yonny. We go over the 6 days we spent there and try to remember all the highlights as well as the low lights of the trip. I've always had a ton of respect for law enforcement officers as well as veterans and for a long time I have wanted to have a law enforcement officer on this podcast. Well, here we are! Ryan is a person who genuinely wants to help people, it's why he got into this profession and that's exactly why someone should get into being an officer. Unfortunately, over the past couple years, people have painted the picture that police officers are the bad guys, when in reality, we need police. We need people like Ryan who want to help out and protect our communities from the real bad guys. Ryan and I start out talking about his time he spent serving our country in Dijibouti, Africa then transition to talk about his profession of being a police officer. The show really takes a turn when we start talking about Ryan and how he grew up and why he is who he is. Ryan and I bonded over being both being parents of two as well as husbands of one. Ryan has a great sense of humor and we talk about everything under the sun in this episode. The Kardashians, parenting, Elon Musk, you name it, we discuss it.
