Grief in your Becoming
Episode 6: Grief in Your BecomingHave you ever found yourself grieving the life you used to have, the life you thought you would have by now, or even the version of yourself that God is calling you to leave behind? In this episode of Becoming H.E.R., we’re talking about a part of becoming that doesn’t get discussed enough: grief. As we grow, heal, and follow God, we often celebrate the new things He is doing. But what about the things we had to leave behind? The friendships that changed, the dreams that haven’t happened yet, the certainty we once had, or the seasons we never expected to walk through?Together, we’ll explore the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness, what it means to trust God in the messy middle, and why grief and joy can coexist.I’ll also share my personal testimony of learning to trust God as Jehovah Jireh and how He taught me that while jobs, family, and friends may be resources, He alone is the source. If you’re in a season of waiting, grieving, or wondering if God has forgotten you, this episode is for you.Scriptures Mentioned• Exodus 16:2-3• Proverbs 3:5-6Reflection Questions• What have you been grieving in this season?• Is there something God has called you to leave behind that you’re still tempted to return to?• Where is God asking you to trust Him in the wilderness?• What promise are you still believing God for?Key TakeawayGrieving what you left behind while continuing to move forward is courageous too.If you’re in the wilderness, keep going. God hasn’t forgotten you. The Promised Land may not look like what you imagined, but His presence is with you every step of the way.Thank you for listening to Becoming H.E.R. Trusting God with the Messy Middle
Becoming H.E.R. PodcastEpisode 4: Trusting God in the Messy MiddleIn today’s episode, we are talking about what I like to call the “messy middle.” The place between the promise and the process. The place between revelation and becoming.Sometimes we say yes to God, surrender our lives, and begin walking in purpose… but life still does not fully look like what God promised yet. We can find ourselves in a season where our old life no longer fits, but the new season God showed us has not fully arrived either. In this episode, we discuss:* What the messy middle is* Outgrowing your old life* Feeling called but hidden* Joseph’s journey from dream to prison to purpose* Opposition during transformation* Why God often develops us privately before elevating us publicly* The danger of romanticizing your past life* Trusting God while becoming who He created you to beNo matter what season you are in, I want you to remember this:Just because the promise has not fully manifested yet does not mean God forgot you. He is still with you in the becoming.“Show Me Love” — Eris Ford & EvanReflection Question:What area of your life currently feels like the messy middle, and what would it look like to trust God there?Reminder:You are not forgotten. You are becoming. And like we always say…We are becoming women who pursue a life of faith, purpose, and transformation.Who is she?She is you.She is me.And we are becoming.Love you so deeply,Ky Get full access to Kyondra’s Substack at kythecoach.substack.com/subscribe

Modification vs Transformation
Becoming H.E.R. PodcastEpisode 3: Modification vs. TransformationHey ladies! Welcome back to the Becoming H.E.R. Podcast. Today we talked about the difference between modification and transformation through the life cycle of a butterfly. This episode was such a special one to me because it was actually my first sermon I ever preached, and I truly believe this message will bless you.In this episode we discussed* The purpose of a butterfly and God’s design in creation* The 4 stages of a butterfly’s life cycle* What “failed metamorphosis” means spiritually* Why our environment matters in our growth as believers* The danger of spiritual parasites and unhealthy connections* The importance of being spiritually fed through the Word of God* Why God is after our hearts, not surface-level behavior* The role of the Holy Spirit in our becomingModification vs. Transformation:Key Reminder:Transformation is not about becoming in your own strength. It’s about staying connected to the God who gives you strength to become.Scriptures from Today’s Episode:* Romans 12:1–2* John 6:35* 2 Corinthians 5:17* Philippians 4:13* 2 Corinthians 12:9* Matthew 16:24–26* Jeremiah 17:9Worship Song of the Week:“Tasha Cobbs Leonard – Fill Me Up”Journal & Prayer Prompt:Ask God to reveal any areas in your life where you’ve been focused on modification instead of true transformation. Invite the Holy Spirit into those places and surrender the process of becoming to Him.Reflection Questions:* What environment am I planted in right now?* Are the people around me pulling me closer to Jesus or further away from Him?* Am I trying to change through self-effort or surrendering to the Holy Spirit?* What area of my life is God asking me to fully surrender?Ladies, remember this:We are becoming women who are pursuing a life of faith, purpose, and transformation.Who is HER?She is you.She is me.And we are becoming…I love you all so much! When did you first encounter God?
Hey, Welcome to the Becoming H.E.R. Podcast. I’m your host, Ky’Ondra Lashon, and I’m so happy you are here. For this first episode, I felt led to start by sharing my story. The moment I truly encountered Jesus. Now, I have always believed in God, but it was just three years ago that I became a devoted follower of Him. That does not mean I am perfect or that I always get it right. It means I made a decision to spend the rest of my life being in relationship with God and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform me until I do.When I think back to that time, I remember I was not in the best place. I met Jesus in the middle of my brokenness, my grief, and my depression. I met Him at a time when I did not even know if I wanted to continue living. But He met me there. He gave me life, and He poured His love on me. A love I could not even imagine. A love I did not even know I deserved. And I wonder if you can relate.Maybe God met you in a valley. Maybe He met you in a dark season. If that is you, I want you to take a moment and remember where you were… and more importantly, remember how He brought you through. What once felt like a desolate place became just a season. And in that season, you realized there is hope found in Jesus Christ.Or, maybe you still in that season. I want you to know that God will meet you where you are. He is with you, His word promises that He will never leave or forsake you. I pray that you run into His arms. The three key takeaways I would love for you to take from today’s episode are:Remember the state you were in when Jesus found you. Let that stir your heart with gratitude and thanksgiving. Accept His love.Allow His love and His Spirit to transform you to look more like Him. Dwell in His love. Sit in it. Let it change you.Share that same love with others. Let’s leave here being the hands and feet of Jesus. Please meet me here every Tuesday at 8:00 PM for new episodes of Becoming H.E.R.And who is H.E.R??? She is a woman who is pursuing a life of faith, purpose, and transformation.
