S4 E4: Believing In Young Faith

In this episode I sit down with Ellie, a 13-year-old whose clarity of faith might just stop you in your tracks.Ellie shares how moving churches as a young person led her to a community where she felt at home, a baptism she hadn't planned on, and a peace that settled something deep inside her. We talk about what makes Christianity different from other religions in her eyes, how her relationship with God shapes the way she thinks about her future, and why happiness isn't something she chases but something she finds in Him.We also get into purpose, love, happiness and Ellie's growing sense of calling to use music to help children with special needs. And she has a word for any young person who thinks they're too young to take faith seriously.Thank you so much Ellie! Follow me on Instagram! @rachel.rachel___

S4 E2: Believing in Self Awareness

This episode I sat down with Dipak Davé who is an executive coach to business leaders in London. Previously a leader himself in the corporate world for many years, Dipak came to place where he was close to burnout which led him to explore mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and other practices to bring more calm into his life. We discussed how these practices are intertwined with the religious teachings of Hinduism he grew up with and how as he describes it, now follows a 'smoothie' of using Hindu teachings with spiritual practices to guide his life. We also touched on the usual questions of purpose, love and happiness with some interesting insights. Dipak's LinkedIn profile can be found hereBook mentioned: Man's Search for Meaning by Victor E FranklFollow me on Instagram! @rachel.rachel___

S4 E1: Believing in The Complexity of The Mind

It's been a while but I'm back with a new episode! Today I'm joined by Clark Mallon who is a Brit based in LA and has just completed a degree in Psychology. He was brought up in a Christian home and is not averse to prayer but is working out where psychology and spirituality align. We found out during the chat that we have a shared experience of OCD and the way it can affect thoughts around faith so for me personally it was really interesting and quite helpful to speak to a fellow OCD'er! Thanks to Clark for jumping on the pod, you can find his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@MindScapeIdeas *Also if you are seeking any support for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD-UK has a ton of information and resources, pls don't suffer in silence! https://www.ocduk.org/ Follow me on Instagram! @rachel.rachel___

S3 E1: Believing in Living Long

We are back!! It's been a while but I have ONE recording I'm super keen to get out and there will be more to come :)) New series, new questions - instead of love, purpose and happiness I'm asking my guests what they think about money, justice and tech within their belief system. My gorgeous guests today are Saffron and Aaya who are pals from secondary school and at 18 years old are starting out on their next steps in life. We had a lush chat and giggled a lot. We touch on topics of death and existential thoughts just as a heads up if you find these subjects difficult x Please get in touch if you are a listener! Believing in The Healing Heart

This week I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Dr Alice Liddell who is a highly certified clinical psychologist based in Southern England. We discussed how 5 years ago a peak spiritual experience gave her a new boost in life to realign her purpose as a psychologist and brought new meaning to the World around her. Small trigger warning, we don’t talk about anything super intense but as Alice is an expert in mental health we do discuss therapy terms and the type of journey you go on during therapy which may bring up feelings for you so please do look after yourselves. You can contact Alice via her website http://www.selfledpsychology.comEnjoy!!Follow me on Instagram! @rachel.rachel___

    Believing in Powerful Forces

This week I was joined by Dr Rebecca Elliott who is an extremely impressive professor at London’s School of Economics, specialising in sociology and focusing her research on the environment I was super excited to sit down and talk all things believing in. I like to keep the podcast as light as possible but I must say we touched on the doom of the planet so I wanted to just give a quick trigger warning to anyone who finds the predicted trajectory of the Earth difficult to listen to - this might be slightly anxiety inducing.. Follow me on Instagram! @rachel.rachel___
