Women's TEA - Geri Wagner - Managing your Emotions
Geri Wagner shared how God created us to enjoy a wonderful array of emotions. However, when sin entered the world, what was once declared “very good” now became tainted by unrighteous desires. We considered how quickly our emotions can lead us to sin against God and others. We learned that the God, who sees the heart, actually commands us to govern our thought life in a way that pleases Him. We were encouraged to tend the “garden of our minds”... taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:5).

Women's TEA - Managing your Friendships - Susan Katuin
We learned that we were created for godly friendships for the purpose of manifesting God’s love. Friendship with God has visible proofs: obeying God and bearing fruit. We discussed that Biblical friendships should be prioritized starting with Christ as our greatest friend. Following Him are our husbands, children, family and family of God. All of these relationships are for the purpose of magnifying God through serving as Jesus served. The presentation highlighted several ways in which we may carry out that purpose. Ten practices to enhance our friendships were given and the teaching ended with a challenge to foster deeper relationships with others to share Christ’s love and spur one another on to godliness.
