So THAT'S the Way to Nineveh!A Humorous Look at the Prophet JonahWritten and directed by Rev. Eric Buter, who portrays Jonah. The Voice of God performed by Pastor Bam Noriega.Play Performed: June 6, 2026Scripture Reading comes from the Book of Jonah, Chapter 2, verse 10, Chapter 3, verses 1 through 10, and Chapter 4, verse 1.(New International Version)And God commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. Then the word of God came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”Jonah obeyed the word of God and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust.

In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped to his feet and walked. The man went into the Temple with them, walking back and forth, dancing and praising God.

Takin' it to the Streets | Pentecost Sunday

This week's message is entitled, Takin' It To The Streets. If you'd like to read ahead, check out Acts 2:1-11 (Message Version)Sunday Service: May 24, 2026Sermon by: Rev. Keith MozingoReading is taken from Acts,Chapter 2, Verses 1 through 11(The Message Version)When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them. There were many Jews staying in Jerusalem just then, devout pilgrims from all over the world. When they heard the sound, they came on the run. Then when they heard, one after another, their own mother tongues being spoken, they were blown away. They couldn’t for the life of them figure out what was going on, and kept saying, “Aren’t these all Galileans? How come we’re hearing them talk in our various mother tongues? They’re speaking our languages, describing God’s mighty works!”

But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour. For more information on Founders Metropolitan Community Church: http://foundersmcc.org/
