In our discussion this week, I welcome my husband, Ronnie, back to the show to talk about the life of Noah.  Noah was a man the bible says was seen as righteous during a time when very, very few others were known for that.  He was asked by God to follow a set of detailed plans in order to save humanity.  I can only imagine the gossip around town.  But being lucky enough to read the end of the book tells us how it all ended and who got the last word.  I treasure the story of Noah for it's example of great faith and obedience.  Thanks for joining us this week as we take another stroll back in the pages of biblical history.  

Welcome to Beyond The 12 where we believe everyone is set apart by God for His purposes to glorify His Kingdom.  There is no greater place than in the middle of God's plans for you.  On this episode, I'm introducing another friend of mine, Terry Marshall.  Terry is an elder at our shared church home where he imparts his years of wisdom into the leadership as well as the congregation.  We discuss the life and job of Moses, a leader in the community of Israel.  We explore how the examples Moses set are still valid and applicable to us today.  I hope you enjoy this conversation and thanks again for joining us. 

Episode 7 is a "kaleidoscope" of characters.  In keeping with our theme of set apart, we are introducing a new biblical character multiple times on this episode.  I'm bringing back my friend, mentor, boss of sorts, and brother in Christ, Keith Napier, to give us an update on Kingdoms United and to add his two cents to this season.  Keith doesn't disappoint; he brings an update, wisdom and a boatful of additional names to the party.  Since Kingdoms United is a nonprofit that promotes missions work throughout the globe, Keith shares with us a zoomed in view of missionaries of biblical proportion.  I hope you are inspired to step out in faith on your own missions trip.

God's plans for us are always good, but sometimes they don't seem logical.  We can trust God and know that He has our best interest in mind.  We can commit our lives to Him knowing that the future is safe in His hands.  In episode 6, my friend Maddy and I discuss a very difficult time in the life of King Jehoshaphat, an early King in Judea's history.  By all accounts, as you enter into battle sending out the worship team in the lead doesn't make sense but this time it was all that God needed to excute a well timed victory.  We still celebrate that victory today every time we read the book of 2 Chronicles.  Does that story give you hope in your times of trouble?  For Maddy, it was the stronghold she needed to make it through.

What have you been set apart for to accomplish for God?  Is there a giant that you know you can defeat, a people group that you can defend, a word of encouragment that you can share to bring hope, an area of expertise that you are supernatually gifted at to save lives, or maybe a talent or gift that you were born with to inspire and motivate peace and love in audiences small and great?  Whatever it is, are you walking confidently in it right now?  If not, what would it take to get you there?  I'm praying that today's conversation with my amazing friend Wes Ryan will move you into that space with God where you say "YES"! I'm so grateful for you and for your heart to grow closer to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  They are waiting to meet with us daily, will you show up?  

This season is flying by, we are on week 4 already.  I'm having a blast talking with my guests about some of the most dynamic people from the bible who found themselves being used by God to change the world for His glory.  In episode 4, we are discussing the life of Saul, also known as Paul, and how his life altering encounter with the resurrected Jesus uprooted the plans to destroy the followers of the new Way.  You won't want to miss this conversation, so sit back and soak it in and see if you can relate to Paul's story of salvation.

With this season almost in the bag, I have one more treat up my sleeve.  Join me as I sit down with my friend Jadyn Walker and we talk about making God bigger through the acts of praise and worship.  We discuss the similarities and differences between these two concepts and point out why they are each so crucial in the life of every Jesus follower.  It can be intimidating to learn to praise God and worship Him as He deserves, but with the help of the Holy Spirit it's not an impossible task.  I'm grateful that you have chosen to tune in again this week.

Do you have a healthy prayer life?  In this episode, I sit down with my friend and co-laborer in Christ Keith Napier to talk about prayer.  In preparing for this episode, I did a bit of research...did you know the number of prayers in the bible is a whopping 650 plus with 25 of them being recorded as prayers from Jesus.  And with that many prayers you can't expect them to all be the same flavor.  There are prayers of faith, prayers of agreement, prayers of petition, prayers of thanksgiving, prayers of worship and the list goes on.  I pulled out a handful of verses that mention prayer so we can discuss the importance of a life of prayer and glean tidbits of knowledge from each one.  So sit and join us as we lean into God again this week.
