Prof. Edwards is an associate professor at University of Calgary in the Faculty of Kinesiology and the principal investigator of the Human Performance Laboratory. The projects undertaken by the Edwards Group integrate biomechanical experimentations with in silico analysis such as imaging and computational modeling to identify non-invasive methods to measure bone integrity. Dr.Elizabeth Gillies joins us today to explore the Wonders of Synthetic Polymers in Biomaterials. Elizabeth Gillies is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. She leads a research program in smart materials and biomaterials spanning from fundamental discoveries to applications with a focus on polymer chemistry. collaborating with other research groups, she is now exploring the applications of her materials in drug delivery, regenerative medicine, and agriculture.
