Generation “Z” was born between the years of 1995 - 2015. This generation, BORN in the church, now in their early 20’s, have seen much in the church ... the structure, the people. They’ve formed opinions, likes and dislikes, often overlooked by leadership (not all), for failing to align with traditionalism. A very valued opinion, Generation Z’s conversation helps to open the aperture and broaden horizons in the walk of FAITH and relationships with God! There’s only ONE WAY to God according to scripture, and that’s through Jesus Christ, but the road traveled to get there and the road lived once there, varies through a PERSONAL relationship from one Christian to the next. Still, the desired END remains constant, life eternal with Jesus Christ!

Bridging the gap between seasoned Saints and New Converts can be challenging. However, teamwork makes the dream work. Combining the wisdom of the seasoned Saint, with the ingenuity of the new convert, makes for a powerful army to be reckoned with. Draw the lost with seasoning from multiple generations working together to take advantage of each’s contribution to win the fight! Truth be told, at the end of the day, we NEED each other!

There’s an old song in the body of Christ that says, you can’t beat Gods giving, no matter how you try! The reality of this is called reciprocity from a loving God who will not let His word come back void. The word teaches us the value and benefit of giving to the household of faith. In doing so, God CONTINUES to bless us above and beyond what we could ask or think. The benefit, often times greatly outweighs the obedience of the act. It’s an investment that’ll NEVER go belly-up!

Don’t let your past dictate the direction or outcome of your future. Too often, we allow people or sometimes ourselves, to enslave us to pasts, crippling forward momentum. See yourself as God sees you, prosperous and blessed. Yesterday is in the past .... leave it there!!!

Many houses of worship soon face the decision of aged wisdom or youthful ingenuity in identifying LEADERS!! Truth is that, this gap can be bridged, if both sides recognize the need for the other side. A compromise in HOW we get it done, does not have to be a compromise in WHAT we’re doing, in who we’re serving or an omission of either sides’ value. Who gets the credit for doing it is irrelevant, as long as we work together to get it done. Don’t lose sight of The Prize, because everything isn’t ‘right’ in your eyes!!
