Lately there's been no shortage of past genres experiencing a resurgence at some level. Dream house, UK garage.. Even NYC freestyle has been brought back by a new generation. However, the one nearest to my own heart has been the uptick of UK hardcore influenced sounds. Sure, it's probably the 3rd time within a decade by now and not all of it is pure gold, but among the low-effort "rave" pastiches ("rave" is still not a genre btw) there are bangers to be discovered. So I decided to throw together a breakbeat-heavy mix, something I've yet to do in this series. It's not strictly hardcore, as there's also e.g. breaks-leaning electro and what have you.
