217 Being Bold and Highly Sensitive
Midyear energy brings a natural pause point—a chance to reflect and ask: how can I use this midyear energy to be bold? It’s an opportunity to explore what being bold really means for highly sensitives in business and leadership. Spoiler: it doesn’t have to be big or drastic. In fact, for HSPs boldness is less about force and more about alignment—it’s the intentional practice of stepping outside your comfort zone in service of your essential self. Being highly sensitive and bold is the ultimate intentional use of the tension. Bold doesn’t cancel out sensitive—instead, they amplify each other. In our final Business Miracles podcast episode, I walk you through what it means to be both highly sensitive and bold, and why that’s not a contradiction—it’s an advantage. We talk about competence and risk as a practice, how to recognize when you’re denying your essential self (and how to pivot), and why boldness is less about hustle and more about alignment. You’ll get a clear five-step process to help you take bold action, rooted in your HSE strengths like intuition, creativity, and deep spiritual connection. This is your invitation to let go of the “other 80%er” (non-HSP) way of doing things and instead lead in a way that’s true to who you are. Along those lines, we will be moving this podcast over to our YouTube channel, where fresh training content, just like you receive here, will be shared twice per week. Please use the link in the show notes. Thank you for being a committed Business Miracles podcast listener. See you on YouTube! “We are as highly sensitive entrepreneurs and leaders, both intuitive and strategic. 216 Personal Branding Part 2: Visibility in Challenging Times
Personal branding is vital for how highly sensitives show up in business and leadership. When approached through the lens of your Core Value Offer (CVO)—a teaching I also discuss in the previous episode—personal branding is about embodying the energy you bring to everything you do. For HSPs, this clarity serves as a steady foundation during these continued exceptional times, in a world that often feels overwhelming. It supports marketing, leadership, and visibility in a way that aligns with your nervous system rather than against it, making it a powerful tool for creating more impact and more income, with less effort. This week’s episode is a continuation from our last episode. In this part two, we explore how to stay visible during challenging times by anchoring into your personal brand. Whether you’re personal experience of challenging times is facing loss, illness, emotional upheaval, or just the disorientation that can come with seasonal shifts, your CVO acts as both anchor and rudder—keeping you grounded while guiding you forward. We talk about how embracing your brand energy allows you to creatively access both/and: you can have BOTH both a sense of disruption from the season of summer AND remain in service. And the golden key to it all is privilege of agency—the reminder that you can design your business and leadership in a way that actually works for you, rather than against you. PLEASE NOTE: We will be moving this podcast over to our YouTube channel where fresh training content, just like you receive here, will be shared twice per week. Please use the link in the show notes and see you there! “When you truly embrace personal brand as your Core Value Offer that you embody, this is available to support you in being consistent even when you are faced with challenging times.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:51: Personal branding part one recap 5:19: How to work with personal branding specifically to remain visible during challenging times 6:55: How to use your CVO in challenging times 9:37: What happens to untrained highly sensitive people in challenging times 12:20: What is privilege of agency, and how to use it “Rather than defaulting to the coping cycle in the midst of challenging times, your personal brand, your CVO allows you to creatively access both/and.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Follow us on our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/acourseinbusinessmiracles Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/216

215 Personal Branding Part 1: Core Value Offer
For highly sensitives in business and leadership, personal branding is not just about how you market yourself in your business—it’s about who you are and how you show up in every interaction. Before it became a buzzword, I used to teach personal branding under a concept I refer to as “core value offer”(CVO). This teaching offered a deeper, more aligned way for HSPs in business and leadership to communicate who they are and what they bring to the world. Learning to embody your CVO can mean the difference between burnout and powerfully showing up in V&V energy (visibility and vulnerability). In this powerful episode, I break down the difference between branding as an 80%er (a non-HSP) and branding as a Highly Sensitive Leader. I discuss why the old transactional model of personal branding simply doesn’t work for us HSPs and what works instead. You’ll learn how to define your personal brand in a way that captures the essence of your energy and serves as the foundation for how you show up in everything you do. I also share how when embodying the energy of your personal brand, you create a deeper connection and engagement with people in all areas of your life—the team you lead, your social media followers, and even your spouse and children. Whether you’re an HSP entrepreneur or working in a corporate environment, your personal brand matters—and now, more than ever, is the time to lead with it. “Your business is not something separate from you; it is you.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:17: What is a personal brand 5:28: How to define your personal brand 6:58: What makes branding different for highly sensitive people 9:50: How to create a core value offer “The Core Value Offer (CVO) isn’t just for highly sensitive entrepreneurs, it is for all highly sensitive leaders.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/215

214 Money Mindset 2.0, Part 2: Intentional Change
As highly sensitives in business and leadership, our relationship with money often reflects stories from our past and stories that were never ours to begin with, but were handed down to us from our family of origin. In this final episode on Money Mindset 2.0, we explore the deeper terrain of money mindset transformation, not so that you can become someone or do something you don’t want to do, and not so that you can reach a certain income goal to prove that you’re successful, but so you can find HSP peace. Especially in these exceptional times, where this shift is not just necessary—it is part of our calling to rise up as leaders. The invitation is to become aware, focused, and intentional so you can rewrite the money story you’ve inherited and create from a place of empowerment, purpose and peace for your forever lifetime. In this episode, I guide you through the next steps of the Money Mindset 2.0 series on creating change intentionally. We revisit the transformational journey of identifying limiting beliefs and money triggers and taking personal responsibility for your money story. I share spiritual insights and affirmations, including guidance from teachings by Anaïs Nin and Tosha Silver, to support a mindset of empowerment and possibility. Through self-inquiry, and willingness to be in practice with shifting your money mindset, you’ll learn how do things differently, and step into consistent, supported action. Listen in to the end to receive guidance on how to continue working with shifting your money mindset weekly. The way forward is yours to choose. “There is a fierce focus required…for us Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs and Leaders to accelerate our own growth in order to contribute our unique lens of leadership, whether in your business, your relationships, yourself.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 5:41: How to use money mindset to create intentional change 7:19: What are mantras to set a healthy money mindset 8:28: How to step into a deeper determination of self-creation 10:36: How to navigate change as a highly sensitive person “Guided by the spirit within I let go of all fear and doubt. 213 Money Mindset 2.0, Part 1: Limiting Beliefs
As highly sensitives in business and leadership, our relationship with money is a mirror of our deepest patterns, beliefs, and sense of self-worth. In these extraordinary times, when the terrain of both business and money is shifting quickly, evolving our relationship and mindset around money is no longer optional—it is essential. Moving into what I call “Money Mindset 2.0” requires courage, self-inquiry, and a willingness to release limiting beliefs that no longer serve us. This deeper level of awareness and transformation allows us to create an empowered relationship with money that in turn supports with less effort, more impact, and more income as a highly sensitive leader. In this episode, I discuss the challenges of long-held limiting beliefs and patterns around money. I talk about my own money story along with personal reflections from my family of origin, and pivotal turning points in my money mindset journey—including filing for bankruptcy and building my business from the ground up. I also share insights inspired by Louise Hay’s teachings, and invite you to explore your own money story in a powerful new way. Be sure to listen until the end, where you’ll be invited to engage with two intentional assignments to support you with uncovering your own limiting beliefs about money and to instead align yourself with abundance and peace. If you’re ready to shift your money mindset as an HSP in business and leadership, this episode is for you. “It is my job, my role, to lead this community into terrain where we may not want to go, but where we are called to go.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:00 What is Money Mindset 2.0 6:21: How to find your limiting negative beliefs about money 7:00: Why do we need Money Mindset 2.0 now 7:53: Highlights of Heather’s money journey 15:05: How to change your negative money beliefs “This is an opportunity to look more closely at your own triggers connected to money…not so that you can compare yourself to others and their income goals, only and all so that you can find your personal peace.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/213

212 Behind The Business Miracles Curtain, Part 2
As HSPs in business and leadership, building the skill of intuitive discernment is not only powerful—it’s transformational. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by too much training content or wondered how to truly use what’s available to you in a way that aligns with your sensitive nature, this conversation will give you some insight into what is possible when you operate as a trained highly sensitive. Mastering intuitive discernment and the art of asking for support can shift not only your business — but your entire way of showing up in the world. In this episode, we continue where we left off in our last episode, sharing a “peek behind the Business Miracles curtain”. Join me and longtime coach team member Lorna as we dive into the evolution of our Weekly Training Roundtables and how the real-time support of these sessions complements our extensive library of track trainings. You’ll hear how through my own use of intuitive discernment, these live calls evolved out of the 2020 pandemic to help counter the HSP tendency to isolate and overanalyze—and why they’ve become a vital source of connection, clarity, and aligned action. We also explore the recent up-leveling of our curriculum, including our HSP Success Track and Marketing Leadership Track, which are foundational resources that provide HSPs with the inner and outer tools to support sustainable success at every level of leadership. “Our live weekly training round tables are focused on the way to take action optimally as an HSP in business and leadership. These weekly training round tables are focused specifically on aspects of HSP behavior.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:00: How do the live weekly online sessions compare to recorded online sessions 5:41: Why have weekly group training sessions 8:38: Recent developments of the Business Miracles training path 12:08: Who is an ideal client 13:11: What is the Business Miracles Success Track 15:06: Alter your outlook during overwhelm “Use working with the track trainings as an art of practicing intuitive discernment and use working with the track trainings as an art and core practice of asking.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Register for our May 29th Live Intro Class: https://www.businessmiracles.com/intro-class/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/212

211 Behind The Business Miracles Curtain, Part 1
As HSPs in business and leadership it’s imperative that we practice intuitive discernment, especially as we navigate the increasingly fast pace of change in the world. We do not have the luxury of time on our side when it comes to making decisions, and the more we strengthen this skill, the more ease we will experience, the more ability we will have to create true impact, and the more income we will create as a result. As a community, we’ve been especially focusing on the art of intuitive discernment inside The Highly Sensitive Training Program over the last few months, and it is incredible the transformations that have occurred as a result. If you’ve ever wanted to get a “peek behind the curtain”, now’s your chance to get a front row seat. Listen in to a recent Weekly Training Round Table I lead along with a 15-year member of our coach team, Lorna, where we engage in an interview-style conversation. We bring you way back to the original 12-week bootcamp I created for HSP entrepreneurs over a decade ago, and we discuss how those trainings evolved over time into what they are today. We share how with the consistent use of intuitive discernment, our program has grown into a comprehensive leadership training curriculum with 8 different training tracks and a library full of trainings specifically created and curated for highly sensitives in business and leadership. If you’ve ever been curious what it’s actually like to use intuitive discernment as an HSP stewarding a 7-figure mission, or what it’s like to be a part of an HSP Coach team, or even better an HSP member of the Business Miracles community, this is one episode you don’t want to miss! “We are wired to defend against change so you have to continuously ingest and direct retraining.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:29: How to work with the Business Miracles trainings 6:37: Why does the Business Miracles course focus on 12 trainings 9:17: How does the course look today and why were these changes made 15:42: Why is the assessment tool important “When we are engaging with the trainings from the leadership tracks it is nourishment.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/211

210 Creating Business Miracles as an HSP Leader
Before A Course in Business Miracles was even an idea in my mind, I was self-employed as a business coach, didn’t know I was highly sensitive and was heading towards a dark night of the soul – and quick. Back in 2009, after six years of working in my own business I was burnt out, massively overwhelmed, exhausted, and overworked. I was questioning what I was even doing in business. But this is exactly what led me to my own business miracle and brought me to where I am today, working with HSPs in business and leadership who are all over the world (creating more impact and income with less effort because of their own business miracles that they have been creating as a result of the work they have been doing in the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Programs). In this week’s episode, I begin with first defining what exactly a business miracle is, and then I share my own personal journey from burnout in 2009 to discovering I was highly sensitive, to then seeing the connection this had to my spiritual practice with A Course in Miracles. The deep insights I received through all this led to what is now the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program where I mentor Highly Sensitives in business and leadership. You’ll also hear two incredible stories from a couple of Business Miracles community members who have created profound business miracles of their own. Both of these stories contain powerful insights that demonstrate how business miracles are not only possible for you too, but are absolutely certain when you are willing to do the real work to shift your perception and do things differently. “If I’m meant to be successful as an HSP and business, then I need a shift in perception. Because the way that I’ve been going about this, through all of the trainings that I attended…programs I had enrolled in were all really designed for someone who’s not highly sensitive.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:10: What does it mean to be a business miracle 2:21: How did the Business Miracles company come about 5:59: What do HSPs need to succeed 7:20: How do Business Miracles clients create miracles 8:50: How to shift out of doubt about Business Miracles 12:40: Which skill do HSPs most need “This is what’s needed for us as HSPs to be able to succeed as someone who is self-employed and as someone who is committed to being a leader and sharing the unique perspective that we have as HSPs in service and support to others and their growth and their wellbeing.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/210

209 Harnessing Visibility and Vulnerability as an HSP Leadership Skill
Visibility and vulnerability (V&V Energy) is a powerful skill for success as a highly sensitive in business and leadership, yet it can be a tricky one to master. On one hand, it’s direct connection to our HSP shadow of overprotection can have us running for the hills and avoiding it all together. On the other hand, we can make the mistake of sharing unprocessed stories as a way to vent, elicit sympathy, or give an excuse for not taking the actions we need to take to create what we say we want. Both lead to a lack of creating genuine connections – the heart of HSP business and leadership success. Yet, a trained HSP who turns to energy management first as a way to process their emotions and experiences can then embrace true V&V Energy and harness it as a way to create deep meaningful connections with those they are here to serve. In this episode, I share how I came to develop this teaching on Visibility and Vulnerability . I open up about how early into my journey of discovering that I was a highly sensitive person, I came to recognize that many of the women I was coaching were also highly sensitive. And through working with them, I saw a common pattern of these clients not being willing to be seen for their true selves. This pattern of avoidance led me to explore what was needed in order for HSPs to harness V&V Energy as a leadership skill that is so needed in the world right now. Listen in as I dive deeper into what it means to be in true V&V Energy as a trained HSP, and stay tuned until the end for some inquiry questions to help you put a core practice in place that will support you in developing this leadership skill for yourself. “Your ideal client is a version of you.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:25: What is visibility and vulnerability 4:57: Why are visibility and vulnerability important to highly sensitive people 6:01: When and how did the teaching on visibility and vulnerability develop 10:59: How to practice visibility and vulnerability energy 11:35: What does visibility and vulnerability look like as a core practice 15:14: Can an untrained highly sensitive person make good use of the visibility and vulnerability practice “We need to consciously cultivate a sense of self created safety in being willing to be seen for who we really are. Otherwise, we’re all going to burn out and tank in a matter of months, if not weeks, if not days.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/209

208 Enhancing HSP Business Leadership Through Neurodiversity
Highly sensitives are a unique subset of the neurodiverse population. Sadly, terms like “highly sensitive” and “neurodivergent” tend to carry a negative undertone and are framed as a deficit. Though it would be a lie to not acknowledge the challenges, it would be equally a lie to not acknowledge the upsides as well. Too often HSPs fall into the trap of thinking that because they are highly sensitive, they “can’t” do certain things. This is entirely false and only serves to hold you back from what you are truly capable of in your life and business leadership. This way of thinking keeps you from fulfilling your purpose in the world and from creating an impact in the lives you are meant to serve. You are absolutely capable, it’s just going to look different than it does for others around you. In this week’s episode I dive deeper into understanding and enhancing HSP business leadership through learning to work with our unique form of neurodiversity. Last week, I re-returned to what it means to be a highly sensitive person and the research around it as well as the research around neurodiversity and executive functioning. With that foundation in mind, I open the door to seeing how we can work with all of this for enhancement, not deficit, enhancement in business and leadership. This key distinction makes all the difference in how you approach everything you do in your business, with your clients, team, and life in general. Strengthening our executive functioning skills by learning to do things differently is the gateway to creating personal success and impact in the world at large. “Differences are not a deficit and executive functioning skills can be developed based on your neurodiversity.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:36: What does it mean to be a highly sensitive person 4:24: Who is neurodivergent 5:17: What is the relationship between highly sensitive people and neurodiversity 6:04: How to define executive functioning 9:36: Ways to master executive functioning as a highly sensitive person 13:52: How neurodivergent people can work with over or under-stimulation “Stop taking courses and trainings that are not designed for your way of processing. 207 Understanding HSP Neurodiversity and Executive Functioning
Have you ever wondered, are highly sensitives neurodivergent? As an HSP, you’ve likely questioned this but haven’t arrived at a definitive answer. There is a lot of information out there on the internet, and a lot of it misinformed so it is important for us to address this by looking at the research and re-returning to what it means to be highly sensitive. Both the research on HSPs (lead by Dr. Elaine Aaron) and the neurodiversity social justice movement (lead by Judy Singer) emerged in the mid-1990s, and there are interesting parallels in their development. Human brains are all wired differently, leading to diverse interpretations of the world, and HSPs represent a unique variation within the neurodiverse population. We are uniquely wired to use our strengths in our business and leadership roles to make the world a better place. In this week’s episode, I begin a discussion on whether highly sensitives are neurodivergent or not. I revisit and share the definition of what it is to be highly sensitive, as well as the definitions for neurodiversity, neurodivergent, and executive functioning. All crucial things to keep in mind as we consider this important topic. I examine the research and how it relates to us as highly sensitives in business and leadership. Listen until the end where I share five key points to bring it all together so you can better understand yourself and your HSP neurodiversity. Also, be sure to tune into our next episode where we will take this topic further and discuss enhancing HSP neurodiversity and executive functioning. “HSPs are a subset of the population, a subset of the population who are high in a personality trait known as sensory processing sensitivity or SPS, sensory processing sensitivity or SPS. Those with high levels of SPS display increased emotional sensitivity, stronger reactivity to both external and internal stimuli – pain, hunger, light noise – and as a result of these personality traits and HSP tends to have a complex inner life.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:16: What does it mean to be a highly sensitive person 4:48: Why is it important to be reminded of what it means to be highly sensitive 5:35: What does it mean to be neurodivergent 6:58: How to define neurodiversity 10:13: What is executive functioning 12:53: How are highly sensitive people built differently “Differences are not viewed as deficits.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/207

206 Power of the Heart, Part 2 – Nurturing Self, Relationships & Social Impact
The upcoming months are going to include massive collective transitions that will tempt you into HSP confusion and overwhelm. To support yourself you will want to proactively establish a core-practice of self-reflection. You will want this core-practice to contain 3 key elements: self-love, self-consciousness and self-support. All in order to identify where you are possibly compromising your personal truth, allowing energy leaks and unnecessarily absorbing other people’s emotions. Finally, this will support you with establishing additional core-practices to, again, pro-actively nurture yourself, your relationships, and your social impact from a place of honoring your sensitivity and using your HSP strengths. This will fortify you in being able to continue to create, take action and show up as an HSP in business and leadership regardless of what is happening in the world around you. This week’s episode is a continuation from our last episode. In this part two, I share another special snippet from one of our Intuitive Planning Days within the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Programs where I guide HSPs in business and leadership to plan the next four months from their heart. You’ll get the rare opportunity to peek into what it is like to use your intuition to guide you into right action and to be the architect of your destiny. Listen in to receive heart guidance on discovering where you need to nurture your relationships with self and others, and be in action in a way that works for you, giving you hope, and helping you to be happier doing your part to nurture social impact in the world. “You will be tempted into confusion over the next months.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:04: How to use intuitive discernment in relationships that do not align with your interests 3:50: What does it mean to be conscious 5:03: How to use core practice and consistency to stay clear in relationships 6:42: A guided meditation on the power of the heart 13:38 How to discover the social impact you are meant to nurture “The observation and study of your relationships is the surest way to see where your energy leaks are and where you compromise your personal truth.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/206

205 Power of the Heart, Part 1 – Work, Rest, & Play the HSP Way
The months ahead carry a massive energy of transition, and as highly sensitives in business and leadership, we are being called to lean into this time of transition from a place of empowerment. To create a productive and purposeful life by leading from our hearts with sensitivity and self-love. Transitions can be challenging, as they often bring a sense of uncertainty, restlessness, and anxiety – especially for HSPs. However, it is essential to accept and embrace change as it allows for the release of old patterns and creates the space for new ideas and inspiration. What will allow this period of transition to be more relaxed, more enjoyable, and help us to trust in right timing, is choosing willingness and trust in the power of the heart to lead. In this episode, I share a very special and rare sneak peek into one of our most powerful elements of the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program – our Intuitive Planning Days. I discuss three key areas – work, rest, and play – that we want to check in on as part of this transition phase in order to navigate the months ahead with more ease. 204 Courage of Conviction
Change as a constant threatens our ability to build resilience as HSPs. The key is to learn how to manage our HSP reactions to change so we can accept it more quickly and from there choose willingness to anchor into and use our HSP strengths to stay the course. This takes courage. It also takes conviction. Now more than ever, our unique HSP strengths as “royal advisorscourage of conviction” is needed in the world. We are being called to use our courage of conviction to navigate the world’s chaos for ourselves and those we serve. And also more than ever, being in aligned community, such as the Highly Sensitive Leadership Programs, is necessary in order to receive the support we each need to consciously become our own anchor. You have the privilege of agency to choose to receive that support and create your best year yet. In this week’s episode, I share two people who have been on my mind lately and who have greatly influenced my own journey of becoming my own anchor to maintain courage of conviction through constant change. I open up about the impact the loss of my mother at an early age had on me, and how my cousin’s loss of his mother two months later impacted him and how different choices led us each in very different directions. I also discuss how challenge and adversity present the unique opportunity to practice managing our reactions to change in order to strengthen self-esteem, self-trust, and self-security and keep us moving forward in heart guided inspired action. “I decided to consciously become my own anchor.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:53: How does loss drive HSP coping mechanisms 6:10: Who is Victor Frankl and why does his Logotherapy matter 9:59: How to see yourself as limitless 12:10: Ways to cope with change 15:4: How to ask for help and why “We are in a time of transition and as part of this transition, we are each being called upon to be the architect of our own destiny; to set your own anchor and embrace courage of conviction.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/204

203 Overcome HSP Challenges to Create More Abundance
As HSPs in business and leadership, shifting from resistance to resilience is a necessary constant and it will be required more than ever in 2025. Accessing hope can support us, as HSPs, with leaning into grace and grit, which are keys to overcoming the challenges we face as HSPs. As highly sensitives it is our shadow default tendency to go into overprotection when faced with challenges, even before a challenge actually occurs. Yet, hope as an act gives us access to resilience which then allows us to come back from challenges stronger giving us the foundation needed to continue to create the change we desire to make in the world. Allowing us to then live, lead and serve from our purpose. Amazing, incredible innovations and changes arise from challenges. In this episode I break down the limiting beliefs about challenges that often keep us in our highly sensitive shadow behavior of overprotection and what to do instead. I share a personal story on resilience that demonstrates the power of accessing grace and grit when in the throws of chaos and challenging times. I discuss how hope is a conviction that as HSPs in business and leadership we can act to make things better by training our nervous system, accessing our HSP strengths and skills, and choosing willingness to take action. All to ensure moving forward to create positive change for ourselves, those around us, and all those we are meant to serve. Listen in – especially until the end – to engage in a powerful reflection that will support you in uncovering the confidence you need to cope with fear and uncertainty as you continue to enter into the year ahead. “Grace and grit are key parts of shifting from resistance to resilience. This shift is a necessary constant for us as HSPs committed to empowerment, committed to business and leadership success.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:08: Why are grace and grit key parts of shifting from resistance to resilience 5:37: What drives the tendency to go into overprotection 6:49: How to see challenges as normal and positive 9:59 A personal story 16:26 What does 2025 have in store 17:15: How to define conviction “This shift from resistance to resilience is going to be required more than ever in 2025.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/203

202 Access HSP Intuition to Lead You Into Consistent Action
As HSPs in business and leadership, when faced with the ongoing challenges of these exceptional times, it can be easy to default to shadow behaviours such as confusion, overthinking, and analysis paralysis. It can be difficult to shift from resistance into resilience in order to take the consistent action needed to create marketing, selling and leadership operations success. However, there is a way through. For us HSPs it’s about accessing our strength of intuition that affords us the ability to take aligned right action resulting in a better future for ourselves and those we serve. Listen in to this podcast episode as I share how you can release the overthinking mind, analysis paralysis and the HSP tendency towards perfectionism. All to allow your HSP strength of intuition to support you with more easily taking action especially in challenging areas such as marketing, selling and leadership operations. I specifically highlight three key aspects of creating selling success as an HSP through the use of your intuition. I also discuss how fear can create confusion around our intuition pushing us into HSP shadow behavior of overprotection and over responsibility. Which tends to lead to sabotaging our efforts and causing us to stop taking action. Yet action is the cure for confusion and overwhelm so it’s important that we re-train our highly sensitive nervous system to respond differently. “Today’s training is an invitation to release the overthinking mind.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:18: What happens wen we ignore our sense of justice 3:22: How to allow your intuition to lead you to action 5:22: What is dire need and how is it related to money 7:44: How is dire need related to purpose 11:36: Why do highly sensitive people need to use a direct ask 15:39: How to track your progress “Your intuition will always lead you to expansion. ” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/202

201 Navigate Tough Times with HSP Intuitive Autowriting
One of the key ways to strengthen our intuition as a highly sensitive in business and leadership is through the core practice of using the energy management tool of autowriting. As an untrained HSP, our early environment training can easily override or influence the sensitivity genes and keep us stuck in unhelpful past patterns. Instead, we can choose to do “”the real work”” of a trained HSP and use energy management tools to create a change in our nervous system response and therefore more deliberately access our highly sensitive strengths such as intuition. This core practice can support us with tapping into higher guidance in order to manage end-of-year chaos, family dynamics or drama, challenges in your business, or any other concern, struggle or worry. When we use energy management as a true sense of self-nurture and with the intention of forward movement, then our intuition can be channelled to powerfully create the real change and impact we are each meant to bring to the world. In today’s episode, I continue the conversation from our last episode – where I celebrated our 200th episode and included a surprise gift for you! – and discussed one of our most important highly sensitive strengths – our intuition. Today we talk about the energy management tool of autowriting which can really support HSPs in business and leadership with strengthening our intuition intentionally so we can receive guidance to take action on what will most support us as we continue to navigate challenges during these exceptional times. I share how the core practice of using energy management tools consistently makes everything easier when it comes to your business or any form of leadership that you’re looking to bring into the world. Whether that is access to easier creative marketing, ability to more easily create a genuine connection in a selling conversation, greater access to aligning the team that’s meant to support you, or whatever it is that you are focusing on right now. Be sure to listen until the end where I guide you through an autowriting experience to support you with receiving guidance on a current struggle, concern, worry or maybe an area of confusion or unknown. “Using energy management tools is going to create a change in our nervous system response. Especially if you’re using energy management tools as a true sense of nurture with the intention of forward movement.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 4:38: What is needed to strengthen intuition 7:35: Why use energy management tools like autowriting 12:37: How intuition makes everything easier 14:29: How I use autowriting 19:19: A guided autowriting exercise “When we’re using energy management tools, like autowriting, proactively and intentionally, the purpose is to make things lighter, to make things easier for ourselves.“ – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Listen to Podcast Episode 200: The HSP Superpower of Deliberate Intuition: https://www.businessmiracles.com/podcast-episodes/deliberate-intuition/ Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/201

200 The HSP Superpower of Deliberate Intuition
If there is one thing that we can claim as an HSP superpower, it would be our intuition. When deliberately strengthened this is our edge in any business or leadership endeavour we engage in, and it is highly important that we learn to strengthen our intuition as a core practice. It is one of the things that can set you up to truly be able to work less while making more impact and income. However, another aspect of the sensitivity gene, our early environment, also plays a part in how we respond in our everyday living and running of our businesses. Often, what you are calling your intuition is actually coming from your early environment training, and it is crucial for us to learn to decipher between the two to avoid getting stuck in limiting beliefs that do not serve us. This is a major component of the work we do in the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Programs, so much so that we engage in intentional intuitive planning as a full community several times a year. In this special milestone episode, I shine the spotlight on our keystone superpower of intuition as highly sensitives in business and leadership. I talk about how we can easily confuse true intuition with early environment training, which when not examined can set us up to repeat unhelpful past patterns instead of pulling us forward into creating meaningful impact through our businesses. I share information from a study by Christine Ma-Kellams and Jennifer Lerner that examines whether an intuitive mode of thought or a systematic mode of thought is more accurate. The results might surprise you! Listen in to hear how you can deliberately strengthen your intuition to really work for you as a superpower through these exceptional times, and stay tuned until the end for a special mentor challenge! “Just because you have the ability to take in stimulation at a much higher degree doesn’t mean that you are set up to automatically be able to take in that stimulation in a way that’s positive.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:38: How to strengthen your intuition as a core practice 6:31: Ways to decipher the difference between sensitivity genes and early environment information 11:29: How to train our intuition to work for us and guide us 14:37: What makes it easier to trust our intuition as highly sensitive leaders “A major component of that training and the work that we do here in the highly sensitive leadership training programs is to decipher between the sensitivity genes and early environment information.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/200

199 Mastering Reactions to Change as an HSP in Business
There is just so much that is in motion in the world right now and so much that is unpredictable. Constant change is guaranteed; to try to resist this constant change is only going to make it that much more difficult to navigate. Here’s the good news: managing change as an HSP in business and leadership is a skill that can be learned. When you commit to this process as a core practice, your self esteem strengthens, you’re more easily able to access acceptance and you develop a genuine confidence to manage and master ongoing change as a highly sensitive leader. You can then stop using energy to try to keep change from happening and instead channel that energy into creating the results you want no matter what is transpiring around you. In today’s episode, I share how we are currently experiencing constant change and unpredictability and that the times we are in are not going to be over anytime soon. I discuss the importance of managing our reactions to change as highly sensitive entrepreneurs and leaders and how, now more than ever, we need to commit to the path of mastery in order to grow and succeed through these times in our businesses and our relationships. To better understand this path of mastery, I talk about attachment styles with a focus on shifting from the anxious attachment style to the secure attachment style. I explore the ways that resistance to shifting from anxious to secure shows up, sharing examples I often see with members I mentor in the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Programs and how by leaning in, joining together, and with the power of aligned community we can truly transcend the ongoing, ever-changing times we are collectively living through. “There is way too much that’s unpredictable, way too many people behaving unpredictably that to try to resist the constant of change is only going to make it that much more difficult for yourself.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 5:13: How to strengthen our reactions to change 5:53: What can crisis look like to highly sensitive people 6:59: What are the highly sensitive attachment styles and how do they respond to change 10:04: Ways that highly sensitives engage in the struggle between choice and action 12.11: How does resistance show up in highly sensitive leadership training 15:35: Final takeaways “As we give deliberate attention to mastering our reactions to change as highly sensitives, our reaction will shift and change. The more we practice over a longer period of time, the more our self esteem will strengthen and more easily we will be able to access acceptance and a new sense of confidence to be able to manage and master change as a highly sensitive leader, and particularly a highly sensitive leader who embraces their essential self.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/199

198 HSP Energy Techniques for Difficult Times
There’s a lot of energy moving right now all around the world, and although your particular flavor of turmoil and chaos may differ depending on where in the world you are, as a highly sensitive your nervous system is feeling it. Whether you’re experiencing political drama, family overcommitments as the holidays approach, challenging business stressors, or even threats to your personal safety all of this can feel especially difficult to manage in the moment. Yet we have the opportunity to practice privilege of agency and take personal responsibility to manage your nervous system reactions to your circumstances. You can make a choice to take action and use energy techniques to ground you and energy management to support you in continuing to take steps to create what it is that you desire and in the way that you desire. In this podcast episode, I share the difference between energy management and energy techniques. I discuss the Bowan Family Dynamics theory and my subjective connection between being highly sensitive and being the absorber of the family. I talk about how this leads us as HSPs to be especially susceptible to nervous system overwhelm as a reaction to what’s happening in the world at this time. If you are an untrained highly sensitive, then you are likely experiencing this energy as stress and are defaulting to fight, flight, freeze, or fawn – or getting triggered into your default coping mechanisms of pushing, hiding, or combo plattering between the two. Yet if you are a trained highly sensitive leader, you can make a choice to take personal responsibility right now and turn to both energy techniques and energy management to ground yourself. Listen in as I share 3 powerful energy techniques to bring calm to your nervous system so you can be of the highest service through business as a highly sensitive leader, especially during times of intensity. “We do not buy into the highly sensitive shadow pathway that everything is happening to us. Instead, we take measures to activate privilege of agency and locate where there is empowerment within choice.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:25: Why are energy-shifting techniques important 5:14: How does the Bowen Family Dynamic Theory apply to highly sensitive people 9:18: What is the difference between energy management and energy techniques 10:49: Which energy techniques can we use to calm down 18:35: How to use energy management tools “The absorber of the family is the person in the family who’s designated to hold all of the feelings and specifically anxiety.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: http://www.differentthebook.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/198

197 Make Genuine HSP Business Connections
Using your HSP strengths to build genuine connections in your business can support you in business networking, leadership, team communications, and any difficult conversations in your business or personal life. Creating a genuine connection requires mutual trust and understanding as well as vulnerability on both sides. It creates a deeper level of understanding and allows us to grow and learn more about ourselves through learning more about others. The untrained HSP waits for others to take the lead and allows their automatic trauma responses to dictate their relationships, but the trained HSP takes the lead and sets the energy, sets the stage and does it differently. In this podcast episode, I discuss what assumption of positive intent is NOT as well as what it IS and how it specifically relates to making genuine connections as an HSP in business and leadership. I share how assumption of positive intent gives you access to your HSP strengths and I provide the 3 keys to follow in order to form meaningful genuine connections and how this leads to more income. Be sure to listen until the end for a short exercise where I support you in discovering a current situation where you can begin to use these 3 keys to transform your business relationships starting right away. “Assumption of positive intent is the opposite of our HSP shadow of judgment of others.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:45: What does it mean to assume positive intent 2:46: How to assume positive intent in five steps 4:21: How does the assumption of positive intent apply to making genuine connections 6:07: What does a genuine connection look like “Assumption of positive intent is not avoiding conflict.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/197

196 Assumption of Positive Intent in Business Relationships
Each of us highly sensitives has our own set of beliefs, perspectives, and experiences that shape how we see everything, including interactions with other people. It can be all too common for us to make quick assumptions and react when someone says or does something we perceive to be intentionally mean or hurtful, especially if it triggers an automatic trauma response. This reaction (or maybe even over-reaction) is due to our assumption of poor intent. In situations like this, an untrained HSP will very likely overreact in some way, maybe lashing out or shutting down as a way to protect and attempt to keep safe. However, trained HSPs can choose to master the skill of assuming positive intent and avoid falling into this trap. In this episode I discuss the topic of assumption of positive intent, sharing more on what it is and why it is so important for us to be in practice with this skill in all our relationships as HSPs, especially in business. I talk about why we struggle with this skill and what we can do about it, outlining five steps that we can take to assume positive intent. Where this can especially come in handy for us as highly sensitives in business and leadership is networking, sales conversations, team hiring, team delegation, and any difficult conversation. Research shows that adopting this positive mindset can can help reduce misunderstandings and conflict with others and overall can also lead to a happier, more harmonious life. And I would add as a result, an experience of less effort, more impact and more income as a highly sensitive leader. “Assumption of positive intent is the opposite of the HSP shadow of judgment of others.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:28: What does it mean to assume positive intent 3:21: Why do people assume positive intent in others 4:56: Why do HSPs struggle with the assumption of positive intent in others 7:55: How to assume positive intent in others 10:41: Why you should question your gut reaction “Assumption of positive intent is also the opposite of our HSP shadow of judgment of self and tendency to be self-critical.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/196

195 Shift Unhelpful HSP Patterns
As highly sensitives, we all have unhelpful patterns. It’s part of the process of shifting out of our HSP shadows and stepping into our HSP strengths. For those of us HSPs who choose to be in business and leadership, this shift is necessary in order for us to achieve more peace, productivity and impact. What will support you with stepping into your strengths and identifying current unhelpful HSP patterns is exploring HSP types. This will allow you to further know yourself as a highly sensitive leader more deeply as well as enhance your dominant HSP strengths. In this episode I identify the four different HSP types for you. I also share in detail the strengths and the unhelpful shadow energy drain for each type. Through listening to the different characteristics that make up each type, you will be able to identify which type, or likely a combination of more than one type, most resonates with you. Armed with this knowledge you can use it to uncover your own unhelpful HSP patterns and explore alternatives to enhance your dominant HSP strengths in order to be more creative and productive and then therefore more profitable and impactful in business and leadership. “We all have unhelpful HSP patterns. It is part of the process of going from being an untrained HSP to a trained HSP. It’s part of the process of shifting from HSP shadows to HSP strengths and it is a constant process.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:54: How to shift unhelpful highly sensitive patterns 2:50: Why is it important to shift unhelpful highly sensitive patterns 3:44: how to identify unhelpful highly sensitive patterns 5:55: What are the different HSP types “We want to shift our unhelpful HSP patterns all so that we can have more peace in our minds…so that we can be more creative and more productive, make more of a difference for others – more impact – and experience more of what we want – more income – and what that brings to each of us and our own individual life experiences.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/195

194 The HSP Business Power of Both/And
A common cognitive distortion that HSPs fall prey to is all or nothing thinking, which causes you to see the world more negatively than it really is, and is linked to anxiety, depression, and even PTSD. As highly sensitives in business and leadership, it is important to engage in the retraining of your nervous system and develop high functioning skills based on your HSP strengths so you can grow resilience, alleviate anxiety and move forward towards your desires and dreams in spite of any chaos or disruption that is happening around you. All so you are able to walk through and lead the way for yourself, your family and friends, your team, and your clients. In this episode, I talk about the common tendency for highly sensitives to fall into either/or thinking, and how this is often the result of our lifelong experience of feeling othered and misunderstood. I explain that this pattern of thought, that most often is not based on facts, is an opportunity for us to develop high-functioning HSP skills based on our HSP strengths so we can shift into the both/and approach. I share three steps to support you in making this shift and empowering yourself and others to operate from this approach. All so that you can be of highest service not only to yourself, but to others and for the overall betterment of the world. “It’s very fascinating that the belief transformation tool tends to be kind of like the black sheep of the energy management tools.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:51: What is all-or-nothing thinking 2:20: What is cognitive distortion 3:21: Why is either-or thinking common for HSPs 5:55: How to move from either-or to both-and thinking 7:09: How does the process of metacognition begin 15:19: Tips for using the both-and approach 18:01: What happens when anxiety alleviates “We tend to favor the Order Form to the Universe, Autowriting and Scripting, and then it’s like, ugh, yeah, that BTT. 193 Turn HSP Empathy Into Compassionate Action
As an HSP in business and leadership, it is important to learn how to first shift from sympathy to empathy, and then from empathy to compassion. To do this we need to actively engage in identifying and experiencing our full range of emotions, and then manage our response to those feelings using nervous system management tools in order to access lightheartedness and flow into hopeful action in spite of. All so we can be of highest service to ourselves, those we serve, and everyone around us. In this episode, I go into depth about the difference between sympathy, empathy, and compassion. I discuss how compassion is where we as highly sensitives in business and leadership are able to make the greatest difference and impact because compassion is the willingness to take action in service to positive change, which is often why we’ve chosen to be in business in the first place. I also share how lightheartedness supports us in being able to make the shift from empathy into compassion and what you can do to access hope and lightheartedness to stay out of the trap of limiting beliefs and HSP shadow behaviors. “Our nervous system is wired to take in stimulation at a much higher degree, which means we are able to really intuit what another person is thinking, what they’re feeling, what they’re experiencing, and when we’re in a strength perspective, that allows us the ability to understand and share the feelings of that other person.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:45: What is empathy 3:40: What is the difference between sympathy and empathy 4:25: What is compassion 7:53: How to flow into hopeful action “Compassion is more engaged than simple empathy because it involves the willingness to take action.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/193

192 Achieve HSP Financial Peace
In a time when so many people are operating from fear when it comes to investments and income, it is more important than ever to step forward and show up as leaders in our families, communities, businesses, and organizations. Not through coping, but from empathetic compassion to demonstrate to others how a different way is possible. That you can hold things lightly, care deeply, and act with clarity, even (and especially) with investments and income generation, in order to achieve the financial peace that you desire. In this episode, I discuss the importance of lightheartedness when it comes to your investments and to generating income in your business as a highly sensitive. I share how your nervous system responds to what you feed it, and since we have a higher nervous system response than the other 80%, the non-highly sensitives of the world, the key to our success lies in using both inner and outer core practices to keep our vibe up and access hope over worry. This is our role as a Royal Advisor in these tumultuous times. “We have control over what we feed our nervous system.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:35: Why people worry 7:22: How to find financial peace 10:50: What to ask yourself when you want to make change in your life 17:26: How to make use of the royal advisor role “The limbic part of the nervous system responds to what we feed it, worry or otherwise. 191 Business Cost vs. Investment
In order to truly experience abundance as a highly sensitive leader in business, it’s necessary to heal your money story. Starting first by understanding the difference between cost and investment informed by what you define as valuable to you. From there, considering cost as an amount paid or spent to obtain something and investment as an act of devoting time, effort, or energy to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile return. Training yourself to see things through the lens of investment, and most importantly challenge socialized concepts of both cost and investment, is what will bring about an experience of financial ease and fulfillment. When you operate your business from this perspective, it will bring about business miracles for you and those you serve that you cannot even begin to perceive. In this episode, I share how my own shift in perception of cost versus investment was the key to changing my relationship with money and my experience with abundance. I go in-depth about the difference between cost and investment and how taking personal responsibility to release negative beliefs about money and to define what you value – not society, your family, friends, or even your religious values – is crucial in bringing about your own shift in perception and therefore change with your story about money. “Making the mindset shift from cost to investment was key in changing my relationship with money, my money story, and then therefore my experience with abundance.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 4:56: How to shift your perception 6:25: What does the concept of cost do to highly sensitive people 10:45: How to define investment for highly sensitive people “I choose to define what is a worthwhile result for me.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/191

190 Expanded Business Mindset
As an HSP in business and leadership, it’s important to develop an expanded mindset, to be mentally prepared to think beyond what everyone else around you thinks so you can then behave differently than everyone else around you behaves, especially in times of intensity. Developing an expanded mindset is the mental form of going to the physical gym. You don’t go to the gym and take one yoga class or lift one set of weights and expect results. You go back every day until it’s 30 days and then 60 days before you begin to see results. The same goes for developing an expanded mindset. It is a continuous process that requires attention and study to prepare for future moments of challenge and difficulty. It is this mindset that fuels purpose and gives you the courage to stay the course and claim a place among the 20%, as an HSP, who influence betterment for others, whether that be family, friends, coworkers or clients. In this episode I read an excerpt from chapter 4 of my book “Different”, which talks about the importance of developing an expanded mindset as an HSP in business and leadership who is committed to change, growth and evolution. I share the key components necessary to be in continuous consistent practice with challenging your mindset so you can shift your thoughts and beliefs to support you in acting differently, and therefore bringing about a different result. All to help you remain resilient and stay on the path of serving through your purpose-driven business by choosing the way of effortlessness. “If you are committed to change growth and evolution, then you will dedicate yourself to developing an expanded mindset.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:02: How to intentionally move toward lightheartedness at work 2:13: Why is community important for highly sensitive leaders 7:26: How to achieve an expanded mindset 9:30: Should you challenge your mindset 11:20: How to lead in your business as a highly sensitive person “It’s important to go beyond only energy management to all the ways you are intentionally challenging your mindset such as what you are listening to, what you are reading, what you are writing, and what you are creating that’s visual.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit – Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit – Stop the Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com/ Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/190

189 Claim and Celebrate HSP Business Success
As we cross the mid-year point, this is a great opportunity to check in and reflect on the past six months to acknowledge what you’ve accomplished. However, typically for highly sensitives, what also tends to immediate come to mind are all the things you have not yet accomplished. This tendency can so easily overshadow what you have created so far and cause you to want to quit. Yet, to get what you most want, the key is to celebrate how far you’ve come. This is the way we go from feeling hopeless to hopeful and staying the course rather than quitting and giving up. In this episode I talk about the importance of claiming and celebrating success as a mark of highly sensitive leadership and how this essential practice of visibility and vulnerability is crucial to getting what we want in business and life. I discuss the two reasons HSPs are often so resistant to celebrate what has already been created and how we can shift this. I also share the concept of pacing, like when running a marathon, to stay engaged in the process of transformation in order to combat the experience of fatigue that we bump up against in the final stretch, where sabotage, lashing out, and defaulting to coping often occurs. This teaching is a great opportunity to check in, acknowledge how far you’ve come, fill up with some hope so you can keep going in your business and life growth. Which, ultimately, is about fulfilling and living your life purpose. “It’s the final stretch of a marathon that’s most challenging because this is when the delirium of fatigue sets in…There is a sense that things are helpless, there’s a sense that things are hopeless and it’s right at that delirium of fatigue moment in running the marathon when you want to throw up your hands and quit.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:12: What is V&V 4:33: How to use a marathon as a metaphor 5:51: Why is pacing important 7:07: What happens when you are tired 13:37: How to ensure that you get what you want “This place right here, right now is the place to more critically pay attention more than ever.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/189

188 Intentional Use of Tension
Most highly sensitives will use the majority of their life force energy for the majority of their life to do whatever they can to avoid tension. They will do anything and everything to protect themselves from even the possibility of overwhelm. Yet, to be a self-empowered highly sensitive leader, we need to be willing to be pioneers and actively seek out opportunities for transformation. So instead of avoiding tension, we can choose to lean into tension and work with it consciously and intentionally. This focus on the intentional use of tension is not so that we can get through it, but instead be stronger, calmer, and more joyful in however it is that we are meant to answer the call of our purpose. In this episode, I discuss how as highly sensitives we can intentionally use tension in order to continue to create and prosper. I share the four key steps to support this intentional use of tension when we choose to lean in and recognize it as a call for transformation versus destruction. This approach can give us a strength to success in business as an HSP no matter what is happening around us – a power to step up and into the royal advisor role we are called to be in business and leadership. “Most highly sensitives will use most of their life force energy for the majority of their life to do whatever they can to avoid tension.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:31: How to define intentional and tension 5:22: How to transform tension 10:20: Why focus on the intentional use of tension 10:59: What type of core practice can you put in place to make better use of tension in your life “You have chosen a path of empowerment through entrepreneurship and leadership.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/188

187 Unrooting HSP Resistance
Being able to shift from resistance to resilience is an important skill to master as a highly sensitive in business and leadership, especially in our current times. Right now, we are all in a collective experience of tension created by seemingly opposing influences that are pushing and pulling and forcing decisions you might not feel ready to make or do anything about. Yet rather than this being a negative experience, this tension can be used as a proactive energy to fuel change and inspire you into action. This is a choice you have – to choose resilience instead of resistance. In this episode, I share how back in 2017 I created a Business Miracles teaching titled: The Path from Resistance to Resilience. This was long before current world events brought all of us into an accelerated experience of more frequent tension and choice points. I discuss how this teaching is necessary now more than ever in supporting HSPs in business and leadership when it comes to accessing resilience through grace and grit, and how the root of most highly sensitive resistance is not overwhelm, but the fear of even the possibility of overwhelm. I also go over the three key elements that will support you with being able to continue to access resilience rather than being triggered into your highly sensitive shadows and coping mechanism. “Will you choose to fall prey to the fear that the media feeds on and outside circumstances? Or will you choose to put in place core practices and tools to manage your own relationship with the fear of the possibility of overwhelm, resistance and choice points?” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:49: What is the Business Miracles path from resistance to resilience 3:16: How to cope during a collective turning point 3:59: Which characteristics do we need to access your resilience 7:58: How to cope with the fear of the possibility of overwhelm 13:51: What does auto-writing do for highly sensitive leaders “At the end of the day, you will be faced with resistance as an opportunity to be called up into the privilege of agency, of owning who you are and learning how to work with who you are.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/187

186 Power of Aligned HSP Community
Consistently engaging in nourishing relationships, especially within an aligned community, is a powerful way to accelerate growth and success for HSPs in business and leadership. Being in aligned community removes the element of feeling “other” and gives you access to what Rupert Sheldrake calls the “morphogenetic field”. Through his theory of morphic resonance, groups with a likeness and alignment create accelerated learning simply by being part of that group, making for each member of the community possible, what alone would have been impossible. In this episode, I discuss how I came to see that as HSPs we need to approach business and marketing differently than the other 80% and how community is a key component. I share how I developed the 3 pillars of highly sensitive leadership success (community, core, practice, and consistency), and the 4C’s of marketing success (connection, communication, call to action, and consistency). I go in-depth on how the 4C’s not only apply to marketing but to any relationship, and how community is often something we avoid as HSPs but is the true superpower to success in business and leadership. “What I needed before anything was to be making a connection with those that I was serving.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:09: What are the three pillars of highly sensitive leadership 3:23: Why did Heather develop the four Cs of marketing success 7:52: Why do some highly sensitive entrepreneurs resist community 11:17: How does morphic resonance apply to the highly sensitive community 14:20: What is an example of morphic resonance 18:56: How can highly sensitive people benefit from morphic resonance 20:08: What are some phrases to ask for support “If I wasn’t doing it consistently, all the effort that went into the first three Cs didn’t really matter.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about our HSE Training Program and Community: https://www.businessmiracles.com/training-program/ Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/186

185 Setting Business Boundaries as an HSP
Setting healthy boundaries is an act of resilience for highly sensitives in business and leadership. When we’re living as untrained highly sensitives, and do not create supportive boundaries for ourselves, we end up operating from shadows such as over-responsibility, overprotection, and people pleasing. The HSP leadership opportunity here instead is to take personal responsibility to get clear about what you need, set boundaries based on your needs and values and then take action to create dividing lines that separate your physical space, feelings, needs, and responsibilities from others. All so that you can be of highest service to both yourself and those around you in your business and life. In this podcast episode, I discuss how lack of boundaries leads to lack of focus leaving your energy drained and your business bank account suffering. Most importantly, I share how to get clear about your HSP needs and then specifically how to work with time to honor your needs, and effectively communicate your needs to others (a.k.a. set boundaries) all so that you can be your most creative and profitable self in your business. “Your boundaries tell other people how they can treat you.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:44: What do we mean when talking about boundaries 2:08: Why are boundaries important 2:37: What are the consequences of not setting boundaries 3:10: What happens when highly sensitive people operate untrained 6:03: Which tools can help you set boundaries 8:23: What does time off, on, and in look like 9:50: How to set boundaries 13:26: What are tips for productivity rituals “Conscious creation of boundaries for HSPs is the opposite of the shadows of people pleasing, over responsibility, overprotection, perfectionism.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/185

184 Fuel Your Magnificence
In the journey of becoming and being an HSP in business and leadership, it’s important to consistently engage in the process of shifting from an untrained HSP to a trained HSP. All in order to create with more ease. However, as HSPs we often get caught up in the false belief that in order to succeed in business and leadership we need to do it the same way as the other 80% who are not highly sensitive. So we forgo the value of paced process in exchange for “playing a bigger game hustle” which tends to toss us into the HSP Coping Cycle of Fear/Anxiety/Pushing/Hiding/Shame/Recovery, rather than motivating us to create productively. In this podcast episode, I read an excerpt from my book “Different”, where I share my experience of feeling overwhelmed by the common coaching industry phrase of “play a bigger game” and how it triggered feelings of ‘not enough’ for me rather than motivating me to create more. I discuss how rather than pushing yourself to hustle to play a bigger game, you can access your inner magnitude, the HSP part of you that is connected to inner guidance and the magic of the universe. I share how you can access this part of you through self-inquiry to claim what truly inspires you. To then let this inspiration fuel, motivate, and encourage you to tap into your strengths and create from this space, rather than hustling to try to be someone you’re not and crashing as a result. “We are the balance to the other 80 percent.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:38: How do highly sensitive people try to protect themselves 5:08: How does Business Miracles describe the Holy Spirit 8:34: Where should you focus your energy right now 17:27: Which questions to ask to check in with yourself 20:33: How do most highly sensitive people function “Though being of service is one of our greatest motivators as highly sensitive entrepreneurs and highly sensitive leaders and is thoroughly rewarding…it takes a fierce due diligence commitment. ” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/184

183 Embrace Your HSP Difference
Growing up highly sensitive, many of us missed the opportunity of individuation, or differentiation at a young age – what Margaret Mahler refers to as “hatching”. Because of this, we learned to cope and often hide our highly sensitive difference. We developed coping mechanisms of pushing or hiding (or moving back and forth between pushing and hiding) as a way to adapt rather than embrace our uniqueness and differences. Although this an understandable response we developed to keep ourselves safe when we were younger, now it’s time to stop feeling confused and believing you need to deny who you really are in order to be successful in business and life. Everything is now meant to be done differently. In this podcast episode, I read an excerpt from my book “Different”, where I vulnerably share my struggle to write my book. I came to realize I was guided to write it because I was meant to teach HSPs not just how to market and sell in their business differently, but how to step up and lead as a highly sensitive to create greater impact (and income) with a lot less effort through these extraordinary times. I also discuss Margaret Mahler’s concept of hatching – a process of separation, individuation and differentiation – and the four sub-phases in this process. I go into more detail on the differentiation phase and speak to how this specifically impacts highly sensitives and our unique journey in this world as HSPs in business and leadership. “I knew I had been training for the exceptional times of 2020 for my whole life.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 7:38: How to embrace your HSP difference 9:45: Can you stop being overwhelmed by others’ emotions 11:40: How to define hatching 12:37: What are the four sub-phases of hatching 14:04: Why was the concept of hatching controversial 15:37: What happens when you are highly sensitive but your parents are not 17:42: What is the more important area for focus and growth right now 18:12: How to connect with what inspires you“Quote.” – Guest Name / Heather Dominick “It’s time to stop pretending your intuition is less valuable than logic.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Survive to Thrive: http://www.shiftfromsurvivetothrive.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/183

182 Staying Above the Fray
As a highly sensitive person, our neuro-sensitivity is not going away. So, if you are allowing your business or career and life to be dictated by socialized trends, then you are setting yourself up to be in a constant state of anxiety. The focus we want, in order to avoid the comparison traps and pressures of socialized trends, is on how to be able to not only manage our sensitivity, but utilize it in a way that really allows us to show up in business and leadership in the world from a place of highly sensitive strength. In this podcast episode, I discuss the importance of staying above the fray of socialized trends, especially as a highly sensitive in business and leadership. I share how our social self is born as a response to pressure from the world around us. And how if we stay stuck in this comparison trap we are privileging anxiety instead of choosing privilege of agency. Most importantly, I share what you can do instead. “If you are allowing your business to be dictated by socialized trends, if you are allowing your work, your career to be dictated by socialized trends…if you are allowing your life to be dictated by socialized trends as a person who is highly sensitive, you are setting yourself up to be in a constant state of anxiety. You are setting yourself up to be in constant motion with the coping cycle and constant tug of war with resistance.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 2:48: How does research on neuro-sensitivity apply to highly sensitive people 4:36: What does it mean to stay above the fray of socialized trends 11:52: How does staying above the fray connect to privilege of agency 16:06: What is required to stay above the fray of socialized trends “This is not the time in our world to be giving in to the fray of socialized trends, the fear, the anxiety, the divisiveness, and it is not the time to flake out. 181 Harness the Power of Privilege of Agency
When we are untrained as a highly sensitive we can often find ourselves stuck in comparison traps – comparing our lives and businesses to to the other 80% who are not highly sensitive, or even to others who are highly sensitive to see if we “measure up”. But this is a guaranteed recipe for failure that will have you operating from your coping mechanisms of pushing, hiding or combo between the two; as well as being stuck in shadows such as people pleasing, perfectionism, and over-responsibility. Instead, we have the opportunity to choose privilege of agency as a healthy approach to making decisions, using discernment and setting boundaries based on our highly sensitive strengths. Only when we do this will we truly be able to remove the shackles of comparison and instead embrace and live from our essential self as a highly sensitive in business and life. In this podcast episode, I go deep into what privilege of agency is, and what it isn’t. I share my own journey of how I developed this concept and how I’ve used it to make massively impactful changes in how I operate. I discuss how it specifically relates to you as a highly sensitive in business and leadership and why this particular teaching is more important now than ever. So you will be able to step out of comparison traps and step up into your purpose and be the change you want to see in the world while also creating the personal success and freedom you desire. “There has always been this wonky energy around this training.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:54: What is the privilege of agency 3:24: Why is the concept of privilege of agency difficult for highly sensitive people 5:09: What privilege of agency is NOT 7:44: Where and why did Heather develop the privilege of agency training 13:48: Why is privilege of agency important for highly sensitive people “The concept of privilege of agency is very foreign to us.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/181

180 Heal Business Leadership Turmoil
As a highly sensitive in business and leadership, living on purpose is the ultimate form of self-care. This requires you to face your overwhelm and learn that, as A Course in Miracles states, “peace is part of you and requires only that you be there to embrace any situation in which you are.” Your life purpose is not what you do, or something you find, but is instead something you choose in every decision, action and interaction. It’s not a legacy we leave, but a legacy we live. Our life purpose takes courage to feel what we naturally don’t want to feel. In this podcast episode, I discuss how accessing the power of your heart as a gateway to your HSP Intuition is what will allow you to heal business and leadership turmoil and overwhelm. As well as support you with standing strong in the midst of the fire of our times, and have the passion to pursue your life purpose. I share how the mastery of discomfort resilience takes compassion plus courage, which equals the opening of the heart, and how this process of the opening of the heart requires two very important components. This is a trainable process and a valuable opportunity for growth in order for you to achieve HSP business and leadership success. “Life purpose is not achieved in the midst of comfort.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 3:02: What is our life purpose 4:19 How to apply courage to our lives 5:54: Can you train compassion 8:02: What is the fourth component of emotional containment “Our life purpose is not something we find, it is something that we choose.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/180

179 Reduce Overwhelm with the Science of Containment
The key to reducing overwhelm, especially as a highly sensitive in business and leadership, is to build discomfort resilience through containment as an act of self-care. Containment is NOT about suppressing, ignoring, or soothing your emotions. It is instead about allowing the experience of your uncomfortable emotions without staying stuck in them, and then turning to HSP energy management tools I’ve created like the Order Form to the Universe (OFTU) to support you with accessing your highly sensitive strengths. In this podcast episode, I go deep into what containment is NOT, what containment IS, and how we can shift from overwhelm and overprotection into focus and flow. I discuss how the act of developing discomfort resilience is the opposite of overprotection, and is instead about taking personal responsibility for your emotions, recognizing that they don’t have to control you. It is not the automatic HSP response, but it is a doable, teachable, and important skill to master in spite of what’s happening around you and in the world at large, especially as a highly sensitive in business and leadership. “Our energy, our emotions tend to be felt more deeply by those of us who are highly sensitive.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 5:04: How to grow from personal interactions 5:14: What is discomfort resilience 9:07: Things that discomfort resilience is not 12:21: What are the three elements of containment “We are faced in any given moment with potentially having our nervous system hijacked.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/179

178 Replay: Intuitive Goal Setting
Did you know research shows that a person who sets (and achieves) goals tends to have higher motivation, higher self-esteem and a greater sense of self-confidence and autonomy? Setting an achievable goal also gives a boost to your systolic blood pressure (SBP). However, it wouldn’t surprise me if, as a highly sensitive, your experience with goal setting has been quite different. Here’s why: setting goals rooted in comparison or based on what you think you “should be” doing actually lowers your blood pressure. Which slows you down, and has you feel like you’re trudging through mud – with no motivation to actually take the actions needed to accomplish the goal. In this podcast episode, I’m sharing how to use your highly sensitive strength of intuition to consistently set – and reach – doable goals that will give you an ongoing boost to your systolic blood pressure and keep you motivated and ready to take action. “Intellect alone can only get us so far.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:14: How to set goals as a highly sensitive entrepreneur 5:39: What are highly sensitive strengths 8:32: Ways to connect with your big goals 11:27: What does recent research say about goal-setting “We always have a choice between the smaller socialized version of ourselves and the more magnanimous essential version of ourselves.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Listen to The Business Miracles Podcast Episode 177: Burnout Doesn’t Get You Paid: https://www.businessmiracles.com/177 Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/178

There’s no reward for being over-busy except burnout. That old-century definition of success, “the busier you are the more you’ve gotten done” is over. As we continue to live through exceptional world events, learning to consciously use our nervous system to stay focused is much more effective for us HSPs in business and leadership than a never-ending to-do list. In this episode you’ll learn: a practical system approach so you stay consistent throughout the year how I personally work with this system – even through unexpected change how to infuse optimism, abundance, and enthusiasm into your day-to-day (even when you feel overwhelmed) As an HSP in business and leadership not only does burnout feel bad – it won’t get you paid. “It is your intentions backed by the power of free will that creates actualization.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:56: How to set deliberate intentions for the year 4:04: Why don’t highly sensitive entrepreneurs work well with compartmentalization 5:12: How to make a weekly plan 5:55: What is the power of intentional release 7:35: How to harness the power of zeal 13:39: Ways to work with your weekly plan when facing unexpected situations “Your weekly plan is your intention in motion.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of Heather’s book DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution: http://www.differentthebook.com Get your copy of the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Get your copy of the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Listen to The Business Miracles Podcast Episode 176: The Power of Intention: https://www.businessmiracles.com/176 Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/177

173 Consciously Create Calm
Typically the end of the year is fraught with excitement, anticipation and maybe even a little bit of dread thrown into the mix. It’s all too common to feel overstimulated and overwhelmed with so many places to be, things to do, people to connect with, and obligations to fulfill. Add in all of the other aspects of these never-ending exceptional times that we have been managing ourselves through and it’s no surprise that so many HSPs turn into massive balls of walking anxiety. “Just coping” through the overstimulation that your nervous system experiences will leave you disconnected, disassociated from yourself, your feelings, and your experiences. Yet, these exceptional times are not for us to bury our heads in the sand and try to simply get through. These times are an opportunity to rise up and this time of year heightens that opportunity more than ever. This episode will teach you: the importance of learning to manage your nervous system rather than be a victim to the highly sensitive nervous system’s tendency to overwhelm in response to stimulation how to set the frame energetically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for this time of year so you can shift past patterns into new opportunities a practical tool that you can use to instantly calm your nervous system when you’re overstimulated and feeling like a massive ball of anxiety “These exceptional times are not for us to bury our head in the sand and try to get it to get through; these times are an opportunity to rise up and this time of year heightens that opportunity more than ever.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:17: What does it mean to be at the end of the year 5:05: Why is it important to learn to manage your nervous system 9:10: How to shift past patterns into new opportunities 12:28: What is a practical tool to instantly calm your nervous system “That uncertainty of feeling often comes from the experience of typically only coping through the overstimulation that our nervous system experiences and coping only or being in the shadow state of being highly sensitive typically will have you disconnected, disassociated from yourself, then therefore your feelings, and then therefore your experience.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Learn more about the HSE Training Kit: Stop The Overwhelm: http://www.stoptheoverwhelm.com Learn more about the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myHSEtype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/173

172 The HSE Shadow of Comparison
The HSE shadow of comparison has a tricky way of sneaking up on you and catching you unaware. One minute you’re scrolling through social media and the next, seemingly out of nowhere, you find yourself feeling less than, not enough, and like you just don’t measure up. If you’re not careful, it will suck you dry of happiness before you even realize what’s happening. For us Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs and Leaders, the path of consciously rewiring our nervous system to be able to function optimally in all parts of our business and lives includes actively working to change our relationship with comparison. In this episode you’ll learn: the most common types of comparison that typically affect a highly sensitive person how unhealthy comparison impacts not only your happiness but also your ability to be productive in your business what’s needed to shift those unconscious patterns into a healthy use of comparison that can fuel you, inspire you, and motivate you to adapt, receive, and create. “Comparison is all about how you choose to use it.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:22 How to change your relationship with comparison 5:04 Ways to use the HSE Shadow of Comparison as a strength 6:16 How to shift unconscious patterns of comparison “There’s been a habitual pattern created over time, often enforced by our family of origin to register the difference between yourself and someone who’s not highly sensitive as less than or not enough.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Get your copy of DIFFERENT: The Highly Sensitive Leadership Revolution by Heather Dominick: http://www.differentthebook.com Check out the HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/172

171 Master Challenging Conversations
No one likes having a difficult conversation – especially if you’re an HSP whose default tendency is to do whatever can be done to AVOID any type of difficult conversation. However, as a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur and Leader, avoiding difficult conversations is not only disempowering, it could also be costing you money. Listen now to learn how to begin the process of mastering challenging conversations so you can express yourself clearly and confidently when it comes to: marketing yourself engaging in selling conversations challenging clients regarding their blind spots managing team members setting boundaries with family and friends “By avoiding difficult conversations, we are then living the limiting belief that unbearable emotions are your burden.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 1:55 What qualifies as a challenging conversation 5:01 Why is it important for highly sensitive people to consider challenging conversations 6:06 What happens when we don’t have difficult conversations 11:16 When to have a difficult conversation 14:27 What results from a difficult conversation 17:10 How to support yourself in mastering difficult conversations “For us as highly sensitive entrepreneurs and leaders to avoid difficult conversations is actually disempowering.” – Heather Dominick Links and Resources: Read Heather’s Transformational Blog Post: How to Shift a Difficult Conversation into an Empowered Conversation: https://www.businessmiracles.com/how-to-shift-a-difficult-conversation-into-an-empowered-conversation/ Check out this HSE Assessment and Success Guide: http://www.myhsetype.com Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/171
