The world often shapes us in subtle ways that can draw us away from God's design. Through God, we can rediscover true joy and become deeply rooted in a life of flourishing.

We always have the choice to hope and trust when we believe that God is present and at work, no matter what circumstances we face. What do hope and trust mean to you?

In 2 Corinthians 9, God not only provides bread for His people but also supplies seed to those who sow. He loves cheerful givers and promises an abundant harvest to those who faithfully plant their seeds in the soil of His Kingdom.

God has a pattern of turning the enemy’s opposition into hope, love, and salvation across generations. In Acts, He reveals this through the stories of Paul, who transformed chaos into blessing and worship. Let’s have a glimpse of how God works through this pattern and be blessed together.

Hope becomes world-changing when it becomes our way of living. As we let Christ shape our relationships, our words, and the posture of our hearts, we reveal His Kingdom in a world that desperately needs a different way. This is how living hope pushes back the darkness.

Hope isn’t just about the future, it’s meant to transform the way we live today. When our hope is anchored in what Christ has done and secured in what’s to come, it reshapes our minds, our character, and our relationships right now. Let’s live as people of Living Hope.

This past Sunday we had the pleasure of hearing from Darren DeGraaf, President of Partners International Canada about missions and our partners here at Bow Valley Christian Church.

This Sunday we talked about missions as a church, thanksgiving, and putting our faith into action through the Great Commission. We looked at verses like Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 1:19-21, and Acts 7:54-56.

Jesus calls us to live with conviction yet love without conditions. This message reminds us that true acceptance - like Christ’s - means opening our hearts to others, not to approve or agree, but to reflect God’s love and win hearts instead of arguments.

Forgiveness breaks the cycle of bitterness and opens the door to healing. In this sermon, discover how Jesus forgave - and how we can walk in that same freedom today.

In this week’s sermon, we look at how Jesus served and how His way of serving was very countercultural compared to how we see service in the world today.

“For Jesus, love was at the core of what He was about.” Today was look at how Jesus defined love and how the Bible defines love in a radical way.

Today we’re in Luke 15: the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. God’s heart aches for the lost and reaches for ours. He longs for us to give our hearts to Jesus, our King. As believers, we share His mission: seek the lost and celebrate the found....not by our power, but by His.

In this week’s sermon, we look at the Parable of the Rich Fool in Luke chapter 12. It’s not about how much money we have, but about our relationship with money and how we view it in our lives.

We all have one thing in common: we will all die. We have one life here on earth, but God cares deeply about this earthly life and what we will do with it. In fact, there will come a day when we must take account of our lives and the things we have done. This week’s sermon encourages us, through the Parable of the Bags of Silver, on what to do with our one earthly life.

The story of the Prodigal Son…the word ‘prodigal’ has become so common in today’s culture that the meaning of the word has almost been changed. Today we go back to the Bible to understand the true meaning of ‘prodigal’.

Today we look at the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard where Jesus gives a glimpse of what the Kingdom of Heaven will look like…and that actually, the Kingdom of Heaven is here with us right now.

Today we look at the Parable of the Good Samaritan in the Word of God. This story encourages us on how we can use our time, wisdom, discernment, courage and vulnerability….and how we can live out the Gospel through this parable.

What does it look like when Jesus is King of our life? Today we are reminded how to calibrate our hearts to Him through the Parable of the Sower.

Even the smallest expressions of God’s Kingdom—like a mustard seed or a bit of yeast—carry quiet, unstoppable power to transform everything they touch. Jesus invites us to trust that His Kingdom is growing, even when we can’t yet see the full impact.

In this final message in our For King & Kingdom series, as we explore 'The Last Kingdom'—a powerful reminder of King Jesus's eternal reign.

“The Tale of Two Kingdoms,” we explore the tension between God’s Kingdom and the kingdom of this world. One is built on truth, grace, and eternal purpose. The other runs on power, pride, and self-interest.
