Even though David had already been anointed as king he humbly served king Saul.

When everyone else saw only a shepherd boy, God looked deeper and saw a king. If our heart is right God can turn us into something great.

John encourages us to test our authenticity based on the things he has told us so that we can know that we will inherit eternal life.

John says that if we really have faith in God it will show by the way we live our lives.

Those who belong to God must love the way that he loves.

God's love for us should be displayed through our love for others.

Today we will try to understand how much God loves us and what are our response to Him should be because of that love.

On the first Easter morning some empty items were left to show us that God's promises are true.

John warns us to be on our guard and not to listen to anyone who teaches anything that is contrary to what Jesus taught.

We will continue our study on 1 John as we learn about where our affection should be.

Today we will begin a new series about what real Christianity looks like by working our way through the book of 1st John. John says that those who are true followers of Christ must walk in the light and do what Jesus did.

Today we are going to talk about the Lordship of Jesus.

All of our talents and abilities are given to us by God and should be used for Him

Each one of us has the same amount of time each day. This time is given to us by God. Are we using our time the way that he wants us to use it?

Everything we have was given to us by God. When we give back to him the amount he increases the amount he entrusts us with

Everything we do should revolve around God. With God everything else works...Without Him nothing works.

We need to make sure that our priorities are in the right order and that God takes precedence over everything else.

As we enter a New Year...Let's leave the past (both the regrets and the successes) in the past and step in to the new things that God has for us.

Today we will learn about the joy that comes from giving Jesus away.

What do you give in recognition of the best gift that was ever given and what do you give to someone who ultimately already has everything?

Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Not only does he seek us but he carries us through the hard times if we will allow him to carry us. He longs to hold us close.

God still speaks today but he doesn't always speak through a display of his glory. Usually He speaks in less dramatic ways. Instead of asking why God isn't speaking we need to ask why am I not listening.

Paul teaches us the secret to being Thankful

The leaders of the church begin to send missionaries to the gentile nations.

Peter unlocks the kingdom of heaven for the gentiles by taking the gospel to Cornelius and his family.

Today we will learn from Peter's example that a demonstration of the power of Christ is more powerful than 100 sermons.

Everyone knows who the Apostle Paul was but much of his success was due to an encourager named Barnabas. Who can you encourage in their faith?

Very little is known about Ananias but because of his obedience and one encounter that he had with Saul of Tarsus many people have been introduced to Jesus.

Saul while on his way to Damascus to arrest believers is arrested by Jesus and sentenced to a life of preaching the gospel.

Philip listens to the Holy Spirit and is led to someone who needs to hear the gospel.

Today we will see how the power of the gospel overcame the power of darkness and changed lives in Samaria.

The devil tried to stop the gospel by instilling fear in the believers but instead it amplified the message and spread it around the world.

By looking at how Stephen responded to his accusers we will learn that when we are falsely accused and persecuted for our faith we should respond the way that Jesus did.

The story of Noah has several important lessons to teach us how we should live.

The early church had it's first major conflict which destroyed the unity and could have possibly caused a split and slowed it's mission but the Apostles solved it by appointing some men to help oversee the program which was causing the conflict.

Opposition couldn't stop the New Testament Church. Persecution just made them stronger.

The New Testament Church didn't have a building to meet in so they met in public spaces where everything they did was visible to the world. Non believers were attracted to what they saw in the lives of the believers and wanted to join the family of God.

Today we will look at the story of Ananias and Sapphira from Acts chapter 2 and learn how important our integrity is to God.

Acts 4:33 says that the grace of God was powerfully at work in all of the believers. Today we will learn what it means to walk in the grace of God.

Although God wants everyone to follow Him, He will never force obedience. Christ never commanded His disciples to go into the world and force people to follow him...instead he commanded them to share the good news and present a better way of living.

The believers pray for more of the Holy Spirits power so that they will remain strong in the face of opposition.

Now that the apostles had the power that Jesus promised to give them they immediately started doing the job that Jesus had given them to do. They preached the good news and gave what they had to those in need.
