Hebrews 12 tells us to “lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely.” Some sins are easy to recognize and move past. Others seem to cling to us, pulling us back into the same patterns again and again.But the good news of Jesus is that sin does not have to have the final word.In Week 2 of Detox, Pastor Kai Eilert looks at what Scripture teaches about sin, temptation, and the freedom Jesus makes possible. We cannot rescue ourselves through willpower, trying harder, or simply becoming better people. Jesus has already done what we could never do.
