Episode 80: Dude. You Lost.
In this episode of Chai with Suki, I discuss how the lame-duck president, Donald Trump, is attempting to undermine the election. A lame-duck is a period of transition from the outgoing President to the newly elected one. What is currently unfolding is truly baffling and astounding. It is also frustrating for a lot of Americans. Dan Rather put it best when he said "Dude. You Lost." He was referring to the President's complete and utter denial to admit defeat and concede in a graceful manner.

Episode 79: Motherhood is Not Our Biggest Accomplishment
In this episode of Chai with Suki, I'm asking the question of when we'll stop asking women the baby question. You know - "hey, when are you going to get pregnant?" This is such a deep and personal question and frankly, it's nobody's business what a woman does with her body and what choice she makes. Also, why is it taboo to be childfree? Motherhood is not our biggest accomplishment.

Episode 78: Nobody Wants an Extra Hour of 2020
On this episode of chai, I’m ranting about my least favorite time change. The switch back to standard time. Normally, I just bitch and go with the flow but this year, I don’t feeling like wallowing in darkness or having to deal with an extra hour of 2020 aka the shittiest year on record.

Episode 77: Happy Halloween! Do you need a political detox?
Happy Halloween! Whoa! I’ve ghosted you guys for a month. Not intentional but I was ruminating over the podcast and the direction I’d take. That being said, it’s only 3 days until the election. Are you nervous? Anxious? Let’s discuss how to detox and contain those emotions before and after the big day.

Episode 76: Let's keep this train going
I found out that today is international podcast day. I have been wanting to do something more with this podcast after 75 Hard ended and I wasn't sure what that would be. I don't want this to be about me anymore. Mental health is huge for me so I'll be happy casting from now on. Stay tuned for what that means.

75 Hard - Day 75 Recap
It's officially the end of this challenge, you guys. I made it! Listen to the recap of my day and what I think about this challenge overall.
-
75
75 Hard - Day 74 Recap
With one day left in the challenge, I'm pondering what's next? Do I start phase one of this challenge which is all of the steps from 75 Hard and a few more additions or start a new challenge...
-

75 Hard - Day 73 Recap
Hump Day Slump. Woke up in a bizarre state not being able to see out of one eye. It felt like I had bruised it or something. It was truly weird. It turned out to be a case of extreme anxiety and stress. I had to take it easy for the rest of the day.
-
73
75 Hard - Day 72 Hard
So, so close to the end. Who else watched the Apple event? I really wanted the watch after watching it so I convinced my hubby to get it for me as an early birthday gift/congratulations gift for finishing up the challenge. It is still smoky AF here and I believe it's making me even more lethargic.
-
72
75 Hard - Day 71 Recap
Mondaze. Sleep will elude me forever and I will live in a constant state of tiredness. This feels like my new normal and I hate it. At least I got to hop on my bike and work on my Echelon ride challenges.
-
71
75 Hard - Day 70 Recap
Holy Crap! Day 70! Only a few more days left and you no longer have to hear my voice or listen to my crazy recaps. Woohoo!
-
70
75 Hard - Day 69 Recap
These fires almost caused smoke inhalation. We woke up to itchy eyes, burning throats, and thought our place was on fire but it was actually just smoke from outside getting inside because our air filter crapped out.
-
69
75 Hard - Day 68 Recap
Today would have been my original end date if I had started a week earlier like I had wanted to but it's all good. Skies are still smoky and it was also 9/11. This day always has everyone thinking about where they were, when they heard the news and what they were thinking. It's something we'll never forget as Americans.
-
68
75 Hard - Day 67 Recap
About ready to join team no sleep if it exists. I'm so tired of not being able to sleep. Is that a thing? I don't know. The sky is eerie and dreadful. We have the worst air quality ever because of fires burning at almost every corner. It's an odd sight to see.
-
67
75 Hard - Day 66 Recap
It's finally starting to cool down however I still can't sleep because of those mysterious stomach cramps. It's a little less smoky out and it's also finally starting to cool down but the day was meh and waste.
-
66
75 Hard - Day 65 Recap
Strange stomach cramps got in the way of my new sleep track record. Got a late lazy start to my day but I also got my home gym a little more built out.
-
65
75 Hard - Day 64 Recap
It's a brand new start to a week and the conclusion of Labor Day weekend. It also means there's one week and about 5 days left of this challenge! Omg, the end is so close
-
64
75 Hard - Day 63 Recap
Sleep does wonders for your body and brain. I'm glad I'm finally getting some because my sleep schedule has been so whack since this pandemic started. Also knocked out all my workouts early which was a huge bonus because it was crazy hot.
-
63
75 Hard - Day 62 Recap
It's labor day weekend! It's also one year of our move to BFE. Plus, I have a funny story to share in this one.
-
62
75 Hard - Day 61 Recap
Tried to end Friday on a good note after having a shit week. I was able to hop on my bike to try and complete the pyramid challenge and also invested in a weight rack set to help complete my home gym.
-
61
75 Hard - Day 60 Recap
Whoa, it's been 60 days already. The end is so, so close you guys. I can't wait to be finished and start up something new. But only after I take a break first.
-
60
75 Hard - Day 59 Recap
This whole week has been crap. I hate being in active recovery mode but my body is just paralyzed from all the events of this week. I hate it and I hate feeling like this. I need to shed this dreaded weight and move on with my life. Slowly but surely.
-
59
75 Hard - Day 58 Recap
Hello September! Only 17 days until the end of this challenge and I can't freakin' wait. I'm already thinking about my cheat meal - isn't that crazy? Our team won the Echelon Watch Challenge for maxing out every day in August. Woohoo!
-
58
75 Hard - Day 57 Recap
I'm so annoyed that I keep getting sidelined by Aunt Flo but luckily, it's the start of another week of 75 Hard and that much more closer to my goal of completion. The future is bright despite current circumstances.
-
57
75 Hard - Day 56 Recap
Aunt Flo is really being a bitch right now. I may need to go back on birth control to put her in her place. She had me sidelined all day with major cramps, tiredness, and not feeling well overall. I hate feeling useless and having to surrender to her.
-
56
75 Hard - Day 55 Recap
Day 3 of enumerating and I'm tired and exhausted. I am so tired that I'm basically dragging my feet. I planned my day better today but I was exhausted from exercising in the morning before heading out and then dealing with the heat.
-
55
75 Hard - Day 54 Recap
Another day as an enumerator - oh what joy and what a hot sweaty mess I was. My goodness. Started back up on MBF and also got on my bike - these things bring me joy above others.
-
54
75 Hard - Day 53 Recap
It was my first day enumerating. It was stressful but I'm glad I got it out of the way. Also, I hopped back on the bike and did some yoga to destress before heading out.
-
53
75 Hard - Day 52 Recap
I just can't seem to find my way off the struggle bus lately. I couldn't sleep and then managed to finally drift off only to fall asleep on the side that I had been given the tetanus shot. That arm was already sore and contributed to additional anxiety. I am so frustrated with everything going on in my life that I just can't relax and focus.
-
52
75 Hard - Day 51 Recap
Monday's tetanus shot has left me sore in one arm plus combined with a sore booty from that Full Body Burn had me all kinds of tired and out of whack. I despise being tired and I miss getting regular sleep. I feel anxious all the time now because I can't sleep.
-
51
75 Hard - Day 50 Recap
Day 50! Yay! Almost to the end, yay! More low impact rides and another day of MBF plus a visit to the doctor to learn what's going on with me.
-
50
75 Hard - Day 49 Recap
In all transparency, I really wanted a rest day. A do-nothing day. Even active recovery is still something however I didn't want to quit while I was so far ahead so I took it as an active recovery. It's rough to not be able to rest on a weekend when you really want too.
-
49
75 Hard - Day 48 Recap
Caturday! The soreness finally subsided and I was able to hop back on my bike and do another round of MBF. It felt great to get back into the game and keep going. It's hard to find energy sometimes but a good night's rest did the trick. My husband brought him pizza and that presented itself with another challenge.
-
48
75 Hard - Day 47 Recap
The heatwave is finally dying down - thankfully. This soreness has lasted way too long IMO. I decided not to push it today because my quads are still on fire so it was an active recovery day for me. The downside of this program is no rest days whatsoever. I finished another book in my challenge and I'm excited to start the next one.
-
47
75 Hard - Day 46 Recap
I don't think I've been this sore in my entire life. My quads are literally on fire - at this point, I don't think they're sore. Might be an issue or I tore something. Ugh. Felt strange to drive to a lab appointment and also, lab appointment was quick because they were able to find my vein a lot faster due to me being better hydrated.
-
46
75 Hard - Day 45 Recap
The willpower is strong with this one. Refused my favorite fast food. That is so powerful to me. Also, when is this heatwave gonna end? This heat is draining the life out of me.
-
45
75 Hard - Day 44 Recap
Finally back on track after taking a few days off to actively recovery because of this dreadful heatwave. Hopped on the bike and started Muscle Burn Fat - holy cannoli what a fabulous burn!
-
44
75 Hard - Day 43 Recap
Monday blues. Triple heat advisory continues with threats of brownouts at any given moment. It's getting hard to find motivation when it's so hot outside.
-
43
75 Hard - Day 42 Recap
It has been a super lazy weekend as we attempt to conserve energy during this heatwave. With the threat of losing power, we don't want to overexert ourselves too much.
-
42
75 Hard - Day 41 Recap
A lazy and boring caturday. That's the first time I've said I'm bored because I can usually find something to do so that I'm not bored but since we are under a triple heat advisory with rolling brownouts, we decided to conserve energy so that meant low levels of activity to avoid possible heat exhaustion.
-
41
75 Hard - Day 40 Recap
Fri-YAY! And whoa, 40 whole days of doing this thing! What an accomplishment! Hear all about my whack therapist and how I found therapy by phoning a friend instead and then later sweating it all out on my bike.
-
40
75 Hard - Day 39 Recap
I know I've said that previous days were hard but today was a whole new level of hard. This pandemic has really affected us and shit just finally hit the fan hard. It was difficult to record this episode or do much else but somehow I managed to get it done.
-
39
75 Hard - Day 38 Recap
Back on the bike for hump day with one of the Hager's. One of my next favorite instructors, Brian Hager, had a new ride format - low impact which is perfect for those days that you need recovery or a warm-up. Also, his voice and cadence pacing is perfect for this. Hump day was average. Did some back to back rides now that my mysterious rash or whatever is finally subsiding.
-
38
75 Hard - Day 37 Recap
Whoa. Halfway point! Can't believe I made it this far. Had a creepy-crawly day with all those mysterious bite marks. Took a day off the bike to just chill, do an indoor walk and yoga in the cool, somewhat cool, breeze.
-
37
75 Hard - Day 36 Recap
Not sure what week we are in for this challenge or how many weeks I've been in quarantine but I do know it was a good Monday. I was able to ride twice, down a few more pounds on the scale, and overall just content with how things are going so far even though progress seems slow.
-
36
75 Hard - Day 35 Recap
Spinning on fumes for day 35. Got a little bit of sleep and somehow managed to do two spin classes back to back even though I was so exhausted. Deep cleaned my house because I have these random bites on my legs and upon googling, they could be pre-covid systems and now I'm freaking out. That's so insane.
-
35
75 Hard - Day 34 Recap
It was a lazy caturday and also International Cat day. Monthly visitor has finally packed her bags and left the building. Hormones and emotions were a jumble so it was an active day.
-
34
75 Hard - Day 33 Recap
Friday was completely lackluster. Like why? Such a strong start and then I got dragged down again by my monthly visitor. She had packed her bags and then came back for more. It was so upsetting.
-
33
75 Hard - Day 32 Recap
On Day 32, we finally said goodbye to my monthly visitor and I was able to hop back on my bike for a Rilde Leon double which I was surprised I was able to pull off.
-
32
75 Hard - Day 31 Recap
Day two of feeling like crapola. Aunt Flo can leave anytime - the exit is that way. Nobody wants her here anyway but she's a stubborn bitch - ruined my day again.
