Charedim. Modern Liberal Values. Contradiction? Not really.
by Shlomo Fingerer
I bring in whatever חכמה בגוים my Heiligeh rebbeim (among them b'chaim, Hagaon R' Elya Brudny, may he be zoiche to oirech Yamim b'ymima) recommend. The main point is that when someone points out a 'stira' between Kabbalah (the part of the Torah that speaks about science (מעשה בראשית) and modern science, if he knows how to unify quantum theory with resistivity theory, and understand Kabbalah על עומקו, that's not a contradiction! That means that he can win a noble prize for scientific discovery! Science doesn't have the headstart that Kabbalah has but every thousand years it catches up a bit. Who are you at your core?

My challenge to you: find meaning in the most meaningless drudgery that your life has.
The ladder to happiness, P.E.R.M.A., has M. for meaning. I'm NYC, we identify with our jobs. Don't let it feel like useless drudgery. You are contributing to the quality of life improvements of the poorest of the poor.

Seligman's P.E.R.M.A. model argue that feeling that you are living a life well lived/ happiness, is the result of building these 5 rungs. P. Is for positive emotions.

Dear Rabbi Shlomo Judaism is home for many of us. It's it culture. It's our heritage. As an atheist?
Yes. An atheist can FULLY participate in every part of our tradition, prayers included. The story about hypocrisy is just that, a worry. Focus on finding meaning in the commandments one at a time b you CAN become one of the many greats who have become Orthodox lay leaders even as they were…

Feel cringeworthy? That is proof that others believe that you did well. Summary.
The previous episode goes into Talmudic style rigourous logic to justify my claim: this is the 2 minutes summary. A) You care enough that you actually feel bad. B) In a field where there aren't clear standards, no standardized scores or lap times, "good" means what most people are like, including...

Rabbi Shlomo, I'm afraid of public speaking. I once made such a faux-pa that I cringe constantly.
Listen carefully, dear freind: Feeling cringeworthy about your performance, in any subjective domain, is proof that you are good at that. I will spend as long as you need, to help you understand this radically innovative idea.

You can be a full Convert/Giyores/Ger while not being a Zionist in the colloquial sense of the word.
Don't confuse emotions for logic. Your critics have real cultural trauma. Give them a hug. The theology will come, but not when emotions are high. Emotions and logic are not the same language!

Big-Bang? Evolution? EMUNA 'PESHUTA' ROCKS!! Science is nothing more than Kabbalah.
Not knowing what to make of it is a badge of pride!!! It should remind you that you are a true yarei Shomayim (that's why you haven't yet learned the Kabbalah that address how Hashem made the world) and a true Ben Toirah (that's why you don't know the Applied Theoretical Physics (Cosmology) of…

The Laws of Science are the devar Hashem. That's why they are so constant. Hashem does not change.
Don't be intimidated by your great uncle who is a doctor. Science is explaining the Toirah. Not the other way around😂
-
Should you be afraid of your knowledge that scientists say that there was a big bang?
No. It actually is mechazek Emuna. There was a beginning-> someOne started it. The bang was an infinetly strong flash of light, teaching us what Vayomer Hashem Yehi Ohr Va'yehi Ohr, what it means, and why that started Ma'asei Breshis.
