Choey and Jandler's The Fun Time Super Terrific Happy Hour

The One With the Field Trip Casualties

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler discuss the many hazards of field trips, proving that no matter how carefully you plan, someone will trip over absolutely nothing and require an ice pack. With only two weeks left in the school year, the guys also face a true educational crisis: they're completely out of tissues. Allergy season is raging, noses are running, and students are learning the valuable life skill of "find another classroom."Then things take a turn when they imagine the blockbuster sequel nobody asked for: Snakes on a Playground. The slides are occupied. The monkey bars are compromised. And somewhere, Samuel L. Jackson is already yelling.Next, listeners get a visit from Dr. Choey Tribbiani, Dream Doctor, who interprets dreams with the confidence of a trained professional and the accuracy of a guy making things up on the spot. According to Choey, dreaming about a giant chicken means you're either destined for greatness or hungry for nuggets. Finally, the guys wrap up with their completely unreliable Trip Advisor guide to the Netherlands and Ireland, offering travel tips that are equal parts educational, questionable, and guaranteed to get you lost at least once.

The One With the Panel Show

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler investigate one of education’s greatest mysteries: why kids suddenly discover they have to use the bathroom the exact moment a test is handed out. Never before. Never after. Always during directions. Then comes the legendary Jandler Pie-in-the-Face Challenge, where dignity is lost, whipped cream goes airborne, and Choey enjoys the entire thing way too much. The guys also flip through Jandler’s photo album of the week, featuring blurry pictures, questionable memories, and at least one image that looks like it was taken during a tornado. Finally, they wrap up with a panel discussion about why principals make so many “roster changes” every year — sorry, grade-level changes. Is it strategy? Staffing needs? Chaos? Nobody really knows, but Choey suggests administrators spin a giant wheel in the office every spring and just see where teachers land.

The One Where Field Day Gets Rescheduled

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler kick things off by mourning the sudden disappearance of previously unblocked websites—because nothing hurts more than losing access to a site you just discovered five minutes ago.Jandler then tells the heroic tale of how he single-handedly got Field Day rescheduled, a move so powerful it may qualify as educational leadership… or mild chaos, depending on who you ask.Next, the guys dive into an all-time classroom moment:“What did you learn in social studies?”“…What’s that???”Followed immediately by Jandler’s calm, reasonable response:“Am I speaking English? You have two choices.”(Neither of which the student picked.)They also attempt to “sit for story time,” which quickly turns into 3% listening and 97% wiggling, whispering, and someone asking to go to the bathroom mid-sentence.Finally, they wrap it up with a round of Jokin’ With Janz, where the questions are questionable, the answers are worse, and somehow everyone leaves more confused than when they started.

    The One With Nerds EVERYWHERE!!!

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler uncover a shocking truth: Nerds are NOT an appropriate snack for school—mainly because they spill everywhere and instantly turn your classroom into a sugary crime scene.Things only get weirder when a kid’s shoe somehow ends up on the roof, leading to zero answers, multiple theories, and one conclusion: children are capable of things science cannot explain.Next, the guys break down a classic school moment—one student gets mad at someone… and then kicks a completely different kid. Choey calls it “misdirected anger,” Jandler calls it “impressive confusion.”In a “Teachable Moment,” they explain how kids behave during fire drills: half take it seriously, half think it’s a field trip, and at least one kid asks if they can bring their Chromebook. The episode wraps with “What’s Chappin’, Choey,” where Choey delivers his usual mix of wisdom, sarcasm, and life advice that somehow feels helpful and insulting at the same time.

  5. 175

The One Slowed Down By Technical Issues

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler tackle the delicate art of talking to kids while they’re crying—which mostly involves nodding, guessing what’s wrong, and hoping the phrase “you’ll be okay” somehow fixes everything. They then dive into why spelling actually matters, after realizing that one wrong letter can turn a simple word into something wildly inappropriate (and immediately get a teacher in trouble). In a bold and questionable segment, Choey attempts to teach everyone about women, delivering a masterclass that is equal parts confidence, confusion, and Jandler repeatedly saying, “You sure about that?”Finally, the episode wraps with an educational (and chaotic) musical breakdown of Fiesta San Antonio—because nothing says learning like a song that somehow includes parades, medals, food, and at least one line that probably shouldn’t be sung in a classroom.

The One With What In The World is Sarmen Can Diego Eating?

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Jandler debuts his new belt like he’s walking a runway at Kohl’s, while Choey immediately roasts it for looking like “something a divorced magician would wear.”Then the guys discuss the shocking moment when Mr. Bing accidentally said a curse word in class. The students reacted like they had just witnessed a bank robbery, while Mr. Bing immediately entered the five stages of teacher panic.Next, one student proudly yelled, “I GOT 100% ON STAAR!” only to discover that “100%” meant they were 100% finished taking the test… not that they had suddenly become the Einstein of 4th grade. Another student somehow spent several minutes using a white crayon on white paper, creating what Choey called “the world’s least visible masterpiece.”The episode also features the debut of “Inebriated History of NIOSA,” where the guys drunkenly explain Night in Old San Antonio as if it were a combination of Fiesta, chaos, and poor life choices. Finally, they wrap things up with a Fiesta edition of “Jokin’ With Janz,” asking the important question: “What is Sarmen Can Diego eating?” Spoiler: nobody guesses correctly, but somehow the answer involves a chicken-on-a-stick, two funnel cakes, and mild regret.

The One With TWO Trip Advisors

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler check in on how many countries are now listening to the show. At this point, they’re pretty sure they have more international listeners than several actual governments. Then they relive the joy of taking the middle-of-the-year MAP test with substitute teachers and split classes — because nothing helps academic focus like being crammed into another classroom with 11 extra kids and a sub who keeps calling everyone “buddy.”The guys also celebrate surviving Round 1 of state testing. Spirits are high, pencils are dull, and somewhere a teacher is still whispering, “Please stop clicking your Chromebook.”Next, they offer “helpful” travel tips for Bahrain and Iraq, proving once again that neither of them should ever be hired by a travel agency. Somehow both countries end up sounding like they require sunscreen, snacks, and an escape plan. Finally, they wrap up with a teachable moment about student nicknames: just because it’s funny does not mean you should let a kid be called “Toenail,” “Chicken Nugget,” or “The Tax Evader” for the rest of the school year.

    The One With A Sub...

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler once again begin with a totally subtle, not-at-all desperate reminder to GET OUT AND VOTE for them in the Webbys. Then they celebrate the show’s latest stream and download numbers from the last two weeks and check how many U.S. states are listening. At this point, they’re basically one state away from legally qualifying as a minor natural disaster.Jandler then shares the story of having a substitute… which immediately led to a fight, because apparently children see “substitute teacher” and think, “Excellent. Time for chaos.”The guys also discuss the revolutionary idea of just handing students cheese every time they whine. Forgot your pencil? Cheese. Too hot outside? Cheese. “He looked at me weird”? Believe it or not: cheese. Choey insists it won’t solve anything, but at least everyone will be complaining with a snack. The episode ends on a positive note with a classic edition of “What's Chappin’ Choey,” where Choey somehow manages to be inspirational, sarcastic, and mildly threatening all at the same time.

The One Where "G" Makes Me Edit A Lot!

This week on The Super Fun Time Happy Hour, Choey and Jandler once again shamelessly beg for Webby votes because apparently “award-winning podcast” sounds better than “two idiots with microphones.” So seriously… GET OUT AND VOTE.The guys then break down the greatest PE fail of all time: a kid attempted a 360 “air dunk” and immediately slammed into the wall. Choey calls it “the closest our school has ever come to SportsCenter.”They also realize their giant mess of cords is basically a fire hazard waiting to happen. Jandler says it’s “organized chaos.” Choey says it looks like “an electrician lost a fight with spaghetti.”In “Ask a Principal,” they discuss the outrage after making kids walk at recess. Apparently making children move slower than a sugar-fueled gazelle is now controversial. Finally, they judge the Smarch Madness Final Four and crown a champion, leaving behind controversy, hurt feelings, and at least one bracket-related grudge.
