I definitely did a Brown Sugar moment with the intro. Also, song credit goes to Madison Ryann Ward - Familiar.As I’m typing, I’m holding back tears as I realize how even the songs, movies (if you know me, Brown Sugar was my FAV movie), and books were teaching us what to expect. Hearing song after song, movie after movie. In this podcast — Episode 1, I am ending the pattern of putting God second and my relationship with being 2nd. Not second place as in a race, but accepting the place in a race I’m not a part of. God’s race, aka his Will for me, I’m always first.In this episode, I discussed how, for a long time, I always went back to God. I used to see it as admirable. Showing the Lord how I learned and tried my all to do it “the right way”. To do his will — I’ll come back to him to prepare myself to get back out there and put in the work for real. Well, silly me, foolish of me, and God sitting up and looking down at me, saying, “My child, doing all this work when it’s already finished”. It was done and been done.If you haven’t noticed, I was coming from a place of self. Where was God for real? Or at all?Listen to the episode — come along with me as I take this Journey.
