Christian Outdoors Podcast
by Pete Rogers
Christian Outdoors Podcast is owned and operated by Christian Outdoor Adventures, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit operating in Taylors, SC.In 2019, after a lot of prayer and research, founder and host, Pete Rogers launched Christian Outdoors Podcast with one drive and mission. "To talk about all things outdoors and how to enjoy God every day."Through his 25 years as an outdoor writer, author, and speaker. Pete learned that any of the folks in the outdoor arena were Christians without a platform to express their faith. Cable television shied away from overt or subtle mentions of Christianity. Publications were clear, that no mention of God, much less Jesus was not allowed. This left a void for many who live for Christ but who also need to make a living with their product(s).On October 1, 2019, the first episode was released with the commitment to release one episode a week for one full year and then re-evaluate. After that first year, the momentum was slow, but Pete felt that he needed to

439 - Stetson Stafford, Evangelist and Hunter
Stetson Stafford was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, in a small town called Plumtree in Avery County—the home of Grandfather Mountain. Stetson has been hunting for as long as he can remember, ever since he was big enough to carry a BB gun. While his dad didn't focus much on deer or turkey hunting, he raised his brother and him running black bear in the mountains with dogs and occasionally took them deer hunting. His grandfather and great-grandfather later introduced him to deer and turkey hunting, which only deepened his passion. Hunting has always been a major part of his life, and he enjoys pursuing just about anything that has a season. He was saved at 10 years old and surrendered to God's call to preach at the age of 20. He married his wife, Bethany, in 2020, and they now live in South Carolina, where she's from. They have a four-year-old son, Hudson, and are expecting a baby girl this July. Today, at 30 years old, he is in full-time evangelism, traveling across the country preaching in revivals, youth meetings, wild game dinners, and wherever else the Lord opens a door. The outdoors have given him another platform to share the gospel with people he meets from all over who may never step foot into a church.

419 - Christian, Hunter, host of Headhunters TV - Nate Hosie
Nate Hosie was born and raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania in the town of Montdale. At six, Nat's father and gradfather began taking him on pheasant hunts and it didn't take them long to realize they had created a monster. As years passed his passion and knowledge for hunting grew. He began to hunt with two neighbors, country certified experts on hunting turkeys, deer, grouse and anything else that moved. Nate took an overwhelming interest in turkey hunting and took his calling and hunting tactics to the next level. Practicing yelping on a daily basis, he won several calling contests, earning the nickname "The Turkey Slayer". After a few years with Top Calls, a legendary call company, he began doing production and field staffing for Hunters Specialties, meeting Randy Birdsong. Nate jumped at the opportunity to be a part of HeadHunters TV, and is excited to show the viewers that there still are people in this world who appreciate memories made in God's country. www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.nukemhunting.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com

413 - Scooter's Hunting Camp with Scott McGann
Today's guest is the founder of Scooter's Hunt Camp Scott was raised in the small town of Emmett, Id. Scott loves all sports and spent 6 years chasing dreams by playing college baseball. After that didn't pan out baseball he came back to Emmett working several different jobs trying to find my place. In 2006 the opportunity was presented to buy an Insurance Agency here in town. He now owns this agency, and this was a GOD thing as the freedom of being his own boss has given him much time with his sons. In 2007 Scott was introduced to Kami, a year later they were married. In 2010 & 2013 they welcomed 2 amazing sons into their tribe. I joke tribe as we are all registered in the Cherokee Nation. In 2021 Scott lost Kami to Breast Cancer. She was an angel here on earth, but God needed her with him. In 2000 Scott was given the vision to give back to kids through hunting. He was given a gift as a successful hunter. In fact, in 2001 he was named the Idaho State Bowhunters bowhunter of the year. Scott founded and now directs the Scooter's Youth Hunting Camp in Emmett. Over the 26 years of being a part of this ministry and mission field for kids. Scott is most proud of witnessing about his Savior and best friend "JESUS". Over 26 years Scott has had the honor of sharing God's goodness and putting a Shotgun, Bow, Muzzleloader and .22 rifle into the hands of over 6,000 kids. All for FREE and all through donations. It has been a labor of love for Scott. He works for the kids 24/7/365 as a volunteer. SYHC is 100% volunteer with no paid staff. The volunteers who show up for the camp are amazing and all get an Orange SYHC shirt. The volunteer crew has been coined the "ORANGE ARMY" with the past couple of years being 120+ strong. There is a joke around the area that Scooter has 4,000 nieces and nephews because of the interactions from this camp. In 2015 Scott added to the SYHC by creating "Hunting Dreams". This subchapter of the camp does 2 hunting trips a year for children who have suffered a life-threatening illness. One Bear hunt each spring and an Elk hunt each fall with everything donated to fully outfit the hunters. New Rifle, Binos, Scope, Rangefinder, Boots, clothes etc. etc. Then a whole week in God's country hunting and eating "Their" favorite menu. The crew processes the meat and a taxidermist does a bear rug and elk shoulder mount for a forever memory. Scott loves GOD, loves kids and loves being a servant. www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.nukemhunting.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com

411 - Every Man Challenge Ben Steiger
Ben Steiger is the founder and president of the nonprofit ministry Everyman Challenge, a discipleship movement focused on helping men step into their God-given potential. What began years ago as an outdoor-based ministry called Heart of the Outdoors, which leveraged Ben's passions for hunting, backpacking, fishing, and archery, including an archery program that reached 15 states and 8 countries and engaged hundreds of thousands of individuals around the world, has since been refined into the work Ben believes God uniquely called him to do: fighting for the hearts of men. Ben believes the strongest way to fight for a marriage, a family, a church, and a community is by helping a man become who God created and empowered him to be. Today, Everyman Challenge partners with churches across the country, equipping them with a discipleship tool that reaches and transforms men in a way few ministries can. In addition, Ben leads Crest the Summit, a ministry designed to take leaders deeper in their walk with Christ and more fully into their pursuit of Him. Ben is passionate about helping men experience true freedom, lasting fulfillment, and a clear sense of purpose through a life rooted in Christ. His greatest joy comes from investing in people, especially his wife Myla and their growing family, and walking alongside men as they live out their faith with clarity, courage, and conviction. At the core of Ben's work is a simple conviction: when a man finds freedom in Christ and lives with purpose, everything connected to his life begins to change. www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.nukemhunting.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com www.muelleroptics.com

409 - Canyon Ministries - with Nate Loper
Canyon Ministries exists to help people encounter God in the outdoors, using places like the Grand Canyon as living classrooms. Through guided hikes, rim walks, backpacking trips, river adventures, and outdoor teaching experiences, they invite people to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with their Creator. While Canyon Ministries is known for thoughtful creation apologetics, their deeper aim is relational—helping guests experience awe, ask honest questions, and recognize that nature is not just something to admire, but a place where God speaks. Whether someone comes curious, skeptical, or already grounded in faith, the goal is the same: to foster meaningful moments in wild places where hearts are stirred, faith is strengthened, and people walk away more aware of God's presence than when they arrived. Nate Loper is an outdoor educator, speaker, and veteran Grand Canyon guide with decades of experience helping people connect faith, science, and the natural world. He has spent years teaching in some of the most dramatic landscapes on earth, with the Grand Canyon serving as his primary classroom. Known for his clear communication and grounded approach, Nate blends geology, history, and Scripture in a way that is accessible, thoughtful, and rooted in real-world observation. Nate has played a central role in the growth and mission of Canyon Ministries, serving in leadership and guiding roles while helping shape its vision, teaching philosophy, and outdoor programs. Through leading and developing daily rim tours, inner-canyon hikes, multi-day backpacking trips, and Colorado River expeditions, he has helped thousands experience the canyon not just as a scenic wonder, but as a place that points clearly to the Creator. Beyond apologetics and geology, Nate's heart is for people. His work with Canyon Ministries has always emphasized relationship—creating space in the outdoors for honest questions, quiet reflection, and moments where God's presence feels unmistakably close. Whether standing on the rim at sunrise or sitting in a chair circle along the river, Nate sees the outdoors as one of the most powerful settings for spiritual clarity, renewal, and growth. www.canyonministries.org www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com

Blake says, he has always had a passion for hunting. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for a year in 2008 as a Wildlife Management major. After that, he worked as a Wrangler, guiding people on horseback at the 320 Guest Ranch in Big Sky, Montana for a couple of years. He then returned home and began guiding deer and hog hunts in Southern Illinois and South Alabama for a while, before deciding it was time to settle down and pursue a job that provided a living wage. After marrying his wife, they launched a small apparel line called Southern Longbeards. Together, they started and ran their local NWTF Chapter for six years. Currently, he works in Sales at Three Way Campers in Marietta, Georgia, a position he has held for nearly ten years. He and his family are also deeply involved in their small church in downtown Adairsville, Georgia. Additionally, he helps coach his sons in baseball and football. Blake is also a successful Out of State hunter. Traveling to several states to hunt and he shares with us some of his keys to success in doing so. 391 - Russel Brelsford-Pennsylvania Hunter
Today's guest is Russell Brelsford. Russ as he prefers grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania mountains where he spent as much time outdoors as possible. He was blessed to grow up in a Christian home with parents who were excellent role models for him and his two brothers. It was there that his love for the outdoors blossomed. Growing up in a hunting family, it was a natural progression that he began to hunt at the age of 12. Russ' love for the woods eventually grew into a passion. As he reached his thirties, is quest for adventure started to lead him on big game hunts outside his native Pennsylvania woods. From the west to Northern Maine and Canada, Russ ventured into the wilds with his rifle in one hand and video camera in the other. Earlier this year he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of hunting the dark continent of South Africa. Not only did he get to bag a host of animals, but as he says, God opened the door to an unexpected blessing and opportunity. Since retiring in 2018, Russ began hosting men's breakfasts in his home, often bringing in speakers to share outdoor stories and a message from the gospel. Russ also works part time at a local gun store and creates content for them on his Target Tuesday which gets posted to their Facebook page. www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.murrelloptics.com www.jumpmedic.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com
