To believe the truth is nothing special. It is the truth that is special, in and of itself. To believe something other than what is true, is to be deceived. And what a tragic thing to wake up to find that you have believed that a lie was true. That is my story. I have tasted delusion, deception and have delighted in coming "into the light, (so) that (my) deeds may be manifest, that they are wrought in God" - John 3:21. May this humble offering either help you come to this same place of liberty, or confirm where you have been, if you are already here.

    Theocracy 2 - Applied Theocracy

You cannot go outside of A and Z in the realm of literature; likewise Christ Jesus is First and Last of God's new creation, and all that is in between; you cannot get outside of that. - T. Austin Sparks No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 Any discussion on Theocracy would be futile without considering the practical outworking of God's Sovereignty. If our understanding of God's rule doesn't bring us to the place of obedience, then our pondering reduces itself to mere trivia or entertainment. Woe unto us if we allow this to happen to such an important theme. This is Theocracy applied This series will be presented by means of a "PodBlog Simulcast", where the thoughts and ideas will be transmitted simultaneously through this Podcast and in text format at cjakforest.blogspot.com. This episode correlates to the post entitled Applied Theocracy. Feel free to read this, as there are some things that are gone into more detail in the document, and others which are further clarified in the audio. I hope you benefit from this small offering, and that you will be inspired to put your full weight upon the mercy of God.

Theocracy - Introduction - Aaron Ireland

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done", and those to whom God says, 'Alright then, have it your way.' - C.S Lewis ...Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things... - Acts 17:22-27 This first part is an introduction to a series which will deal with the theme of Theocracy. The series will exposit portions of the Book of Genesis, in an attempt to demonstrate God's intended plan to rule over His creation, and His genius in ordering the events of the fall, so as to perfect a restored humanity though the blood of the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Rev 13:8). In essence, we will be going to the beginning, in order to discern the rule of the one who is the "same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Heb 13:8). Loving the Lord God - Personal Testimony - Part 1 - Paris Reidhead

"The genius of our faith is that we'd come to the place where we'd know we could do nothing and that all we could do would be to present the vessel and say, 'Lord Jesus, you'll have to fill it and everything that's done will have to be done by you and for you'." - Paris Reidhead (Ten Shekels and a Shirt) Join us on a journey into the life of one of the most profound, albeit relatively unknown, Christian thinkers of the last century. Here we see the means by which God can temper a life into His image. This sermon is "must hearing" for anyone who would be used of God in evangelism or the mission field, as it highlights the need of true conversion, the witness of the Spirit, and taking up one's cross. My hope and prayer is that you will be all the more inspired to pursue God in a greater way than ever before.

What Is Your Life? - Aaron Ireland

...For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that apeareth a for a little time, and then vanisheth away. - (James 4:14) This open air sermon was preached in Melbourne on 18 May 2007. The text was taken from James 4:11-17, calling from people to consider God's judgement in light of their own mortality. I offer this as an example of a clear Biblical presentation of the Gospel, given to people who need to hear it. I apologise in advance for the sound quality of the recording, I hope that you find the clarity of the content worth the struggle to hear it. The location of the preaching is a busy tram stop, at the cross road of Swanston and Bourke Streets, which is in the heart of Melbourne, which is in the centre of Melbourne's CBD. The message is one that centres on the sinner's need to repent of their sin, and place their trust in Jesus Christ's sacrifice for their sin. You'll hear many who mock as they pass, and yet there were far more who were visibly convicted by the Holy Spirit at the hearing of these words.

Loving the Lord God - Personal Testimony - Part 2 - Paris Reidhead

"We have a Cho cult in America. I love Dr Cho, from Korea, but we've got a Cho cult in America. It's a cult. 'Big is better!' No it's not! You tell that to Gideon. I like what Brother Ravenhill says, 'All of these people concerned about abortion. That's good but,' he said, 'I'm more concerned about the evangelical holocaust at our altars. The aborted babies at our altars'." - David Wilkerson Join us on a journey into the life of one of the most profound, albeit relatively unknown, Christian thinkers of the last century. Here we see the means by which God can temper a life into His image. This sermon is "must hearing" for anyone who would be used of God in evangelism or the mission field, as it highlights the need of true conversion, the witness of the Spirit, and taking up one's cross. Looking From the Seen to Eternal Reality – Aaron Ireland

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.(2 Cor 4:18) Just because we know the truth and live from the truth doesn’t mean the external situation is going to change. But we are changed. The Holy But moves you from the circumstance to the solution, and that solution is a Person. It moves you from without to within, the outer to the inner, the temporal to the eternal. - Dan Stone The Rest of the Gospel There is a hidden reality that can only be revealed by God Himself. Though it is left for the naked eye to see, it can only be perceived by revelation from above. It is this truth that sets us free, as it swallows up that which is seen, to establish eternal truth. Herein is a humble attempt to pull back the veil. May the Spirit of God breathe upon this morsel and utter the word that is “nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith”. (Rom 10:8)

Truth In Temporal Reality - Aaron Ireland

...the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. - 2 Cor 4:18b There is an aspect of truth that is present reality. It is a tragedy when pretending something is that is not, is perceived as being more important than seeing things as they actually are. This is not faith. Present reality can only be considered factual when we acknowledge the transitory nature of it. That which actually is, will change as time progresses. This episode is a call to avoid the temptation to separate the physical from the spiritual, in a moral sense. This was the error of the Gnostics, who infiltrated the early church, and this error is subtly seeing increasing prevalence in modern Christendom.

Reality vs Self Delusion - Aaron Ireland

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32 When the knowledge of truth is lacking, enslavement will ensure. We perceive truth in proportion to the degree of honesty in our lives. The tension is best described by Paul, the apostle: "..then shall I know even as also I am known." 1 Corinthians 13:12b "..evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." 2 Timothy 3:13 Shall we heed God's call to cast aside fear, and allow transparency in our lives, or shall we withhold from ourselves the liberty that comes from knowing the reality that shall make us free, by hiding the truth from others? Herein is a key to distinguishing the genuine from the counterfeit. This episode unveils the personal ramifications of dishonesty, along with the liberty that is born of transparency.

Truth and Trustworthiness - Aaron Ireland

So, how does one get trust? Speak truth and you will be trusted. Truthfulness wins. It creates and restores trust. Say what you do and do what you say ...Trust is restored in confession, say, of a lie, and in subsequent forgiveness sought. Only the truth makes free. This restored trust is stronger because it has become wise, it has come through the break. Children have an innocent trust. We must leave this behind in favor of the stronger, realistic trust. - Jürgen Moltmann (Control is Good, but Trust is Better) To what degree are we honest? How do we view honesty? How does our perception of what truth is, compare with what God calls truth? The fundamental distinction of a believer, is that they shall believe the truth, and be true. Deceptiveness reveals a heart that distrusts God. There is a fear that is greater than God, for Christ has said the "..ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." This episode explores the effects of both believing and promulgating the truth, along with potential repercussions of failure in these areas.

Every man a liar - Aaron Ireland

A songwriter once penned the words: When this fleeting limelight fades And we're alone again What name will your heart speak? What is true? What is real? Not what you feel What you know eternally… It is with this in mind that I post this, the first part of a series on Truth. Within the heart of fallen man, there is a nature that cannot tolerate being wrong. With this in mind, how do we cope with an encounter with an invisible God, who is always true, knowing that “every man”, ourselves included, is in essence, “a liar”? Based on Romans 3:4, this message presents the need for true Spiritual Discernment. What is it, and how can we be protected from being deceived. Please weigh each word that is spoken, in the Word of God, and don’t take for granted that this base man has a handle on anything, apart from what the Bible reveals.

Obtaining Virtue and Learning Obedience - 9/9 - Art Katz

This is the final episde in this series. This sermon was preached in the Melbourne Prophetic School, April 2005. I has selected this particular sermon, because it touches on much that I feel that the Body of Christ is lacking, in its modern expression. Please listen thoughtfully and prayerfully. Weigh each statement in light of each other, and in the light of the Word of God. This message has the potential of being an "epochal event" in your life, as it was for myself personally. The entire message goes for aprox an hour and a half, but because I respect the fact that many would have difficulty enduring a speaker for this long, I am posting in in nine episodes. Hopefully it will not lose anything as a result of my divisions. If you would like to hear more from this speaker, or even receive the full copy of this conference, either email myself, or contact Ben Israel Fellowship (www.benisrael.org).

Let Me See Thy Face And Die - John Wesley (preformed by Christ Our Life)

I heard this recently, as it was recommended to me through FireOnTheAltar.com. This is off of the CD titled "Living Sacrifice" freely distributed by Christ Our Life, a Christian fellowship based in Canada. I highly recommend getting a hold of the whole album from www.christourlife.ca.This further establishes the theme of what this podcast is about."Moses Thy backward parts might view, But not a perfect sight obtain; The gospel doth Thy fullness show To us, by the commandment slain; The dead to sin shall find the grace The pure in heart shall see Thy face. I cannot see Thy face, and live, Then let me see Thy face, and die!"

One Thing You Lack - Art Katz/Eric Gilmore

"This one is radical, for some it may be too radical. It could haunt us, but in reality these are simply the words of Jesus that we have a tendency to skim over. Nothing watered down here. Play it if you want, might mess with you though." - www.sermonindex.netThis compilation rocked my world when I first heard it. My primary thought was, "Why haven't I heard anything like this before?" As I had read the Scriptures, these verses had always reverberated in my spirit. They alerted me to the fact that there was so much more to this life than what the pulpits were telling me, but whenever these verses were mentioned, they were always explained away.My hope and prayer is that this will set a mood in this Podcast, and will serve as a "theme song", so to speak. May we heed the call to such a radical Christianity. May we allow there fear of what is presented here to produce a "godly sorrow" that will lead us to true repentance. May we risk accusations of "madness" in our pursuit of truth, and may we find what we are seeking. Please allow yourself the opportunity to have your every comfort challenged as you hear this, and resit the urge to flinch from it. I promise that you will not regret it.For for compilations such as this, check out www.fireonthealtar.com.
