Crazy Love Podcast - The Courage to Follow | Francis Chan

Following Jesus has never been about doing whatever feels right. Today, Francis looks at the striking difference between Joshua and Judges. One shows a people moving together in faith. The other shows what happens when everyone does what is right in their own eyes. In a culture that celebrates independence and speaking your mind, it can be easy to confuse courage with rebellion. But Scripture gives us another picture - one of humble leadership, willing submission, and people who care more about God's kingdom than their own opinions. There is a courage that leads. And there is a courage that follows. Both require us to lay down our own way and trust God enough to seek His kingdom first.

Lausanne Movement Podcast - Why Easter 2033 Cannot Be Business as Usual | Olivier Fleury on Mobilising the Church to Celebrate and Proclaim the 2,000th Anniversary of the Resurrection

The 2,000th anniversary of the resurrection presents an extraordinary opportunity for the church to invite the world to hear the gospel and celebrate the risen Jesus. Will we seize it—or allow Easter 2033 to become business as usual?   In this episode of the Lausanne Movement Podcast, Jason Watson speaks with JC2033 founder Olivier Fleury about the vision to mobilise Christians around the world for the 2,000th anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus. Together, they explore why Easter 2033 cannot simply be another church celebration, but an opportunity for Christians to unite across traditions, proclaim the risen Christ, and creatively invite the world to celebrate with them.   Olivier also shares his own journey of calling and nearly two decades of building relationships around this vision, offering encouragement for leaders to dream big, start small, remain humble, and faithfully pursue what God has placed before them.   Main Points Easter 2033 is a unique missional opportunity. The anniversary gives the church an extraordinary moment to turn outward and make the resurrection known. JC2033 is a movement, not simply an event. The vision is for locally shaped expressions in nations, cities, neighbourhoods, churches, and homes around the world. Unity strengthens our witness. Drawing from John 17, Olivier argues that Christian unity is not an end in itself—it serves the mission of helping the world know and believe in Jesus. Celebration can become proclamation. Music, art, meals, public gatherings, street parties, and other creative expressions can help take the message of the resurrection beyond the walls of the church. Every Christian has something to contribute. The vision is not dependent on famous leaders or large organisations; families, churches, and individual believers can all bring what God has placed in their hands. Faithfulness takes time. Building trust, relationships, and collaborative movements often requires years—even decades—of perseverance. The question is not only what will happen in 2033, but what we will do now. Olivier challenges Christians to begin praying, building relationships, imagining possibilities, and preparing their communities today. Call to Action What could your church, ministry, family, or community do to help the world hear that Jesus is risen?   Visit JC2033 to explore the vision and begin considering how you could participate. Equip & Empower Podcast with Christine Caine - Episode 408 | Your Spiritual Wardrobe: What to Put On and Take Off Now That You're in Christ

You got a brand new identity in Christ. But are you still wearing the old clothes? Most of us know that something changed when we came to faith. What we're less sure about is what that means for how we actually live — what we put on, what we take off, and what we've let quietly stay in the closet because it still fits a little too comfortably. In episode two of our series A Life Unleashed, Christine Caine opens Colossians 3 and does what Paul does: gets practical. In this episode, Christine Caine uses the extended metaphor of a spiritual wardrobe to unpack one of the most practical passages in the New Testament. Since we have been raised with Christ, Paul says, there are clothes we used to wear that simply should not fit us anymore, and there is a brand new wardrobe hanging in the closet that most of us haven't fully tried on yet.  Christine is honest about what her old wardrobe looked like before Christ and what it meant to discover that those clothes were slowly destroying her life. She makes the case that getting dressed spiritually doesn't happen by accident any more than getting dressed physically does. It takes intentionality, daily decision, and a clear sense of who you are representing. The takeaway that will stay with you: the sin you won't kill will end up killing something else (your relationships, your peace, your witness) and through the power of the Holy Spirit, you have the agency to choose differently every single day. ✨ If you've ever asked questions like… ✅ I'm a Christian but I still struggle with the same things, is something wrong with me? ✅ How do I actually change my behavior? Is it willpower, or is there something deeper going on? ✅ What does it mean to put off the old self and put on the new self — practically? ✅ Why does setting my mind on things above actually matter for how I live down here? ✅ How do I stop being complacent about the things in my life that I know aren't right? ✅ Does how I live as a Christian actually affect people around me who don't believe? ✅ What does God's wardrobe for me actually look like, and how do I start wearing it? …then this is your episode. What you'll learn: → Why Paul starts with mindset before behavior — and how where you set your mind determines what your spiritual wardrobe actually looks like, whether you realize it or not. → The specific clothes Paul says to take off and put on in Colossians 3, why they're not arbitrary rules but a direct reflection of your new identity in Christ, and how to start wearing them with intentionality every day. → Why the sin you don't name and don't kill has a way of killing something else — and how the power of the Holy Spirit gives you genuine agency to choose a different wardrobe, starting today. The Westside Podcast—featuring Jonathan Hansen - The Westside Podcast | Summer on the Mount • How to Find Peace When Anxiety Feels Overwhelming

How to Find Peace When Anxiety Feels Overwhelming What do you do when anxiety feels overwhelming, and your mind won't stop thinking about everything that could go wrong? Anxiety has a way of pulling us out of the present and into a future filled with worst-case scenarios. We carry tomorrow's worries today, replay conversations, anticipate problems, and find ourselves asking an endless stream of “what if” questions. But in Matthew 6:25–34, Jesus gives us a different way to approach anxiety. He doesn't dismiss the reality of life's difficulties or simply tell us to stop worrying. Instead, He redirects our attention from “what if?” to “who?” Who is your Father? Who is the One who is good, sovereign, faithful, and already present in the future you're worried about? In this episode of The Westside Podcast, we explore what Jesus teaches about anxiety, worry, fear, and finding peace in uncertain times. Through Jesus' teaching and the story of God's provision of manna in the wilderness, we discover that God has always invited His people to trust Him one day at a time. We'll also talk about practical ways to respond when anxiety begins to take over—from honest prayer and speaking truth over anxious thoughts to gratitude, slowing down, staying present, and finding trusted people who can walk with us. And at the center of it all is the gospel. Our confidence in God isn't based on wishful thinking. It is rooted in His character and demonstrated through Jesus, who was rejected so that we could be received and forsaken so that we would never be forsaken. Peace doesn't come from knowing what tomorrow holds. It comes from knowing the One who holds tomorrow. Whether you're exploring faith, struggling with anxiety, carrying the weight of an uncertain future, or simply looking for encouragement, this episode offers biblical truth, practical help, and the hope of Jesus. In this episode: What Jesus teaches about anxiety and worry in Matthew 6 Why anxiety keeps pulling us into the “what ifs” What it means to trust God one day at a time What the story of manna teaches us about God's provision How prayer and Scripture can interrupt anxious thoughts How to speak truth over fear and worry The role of gratitude and staying present Why trusted relationships and counseling can be part of a healthy response to anxiety How the gospel gives us a foundation for lasting peace Matthew 6:25–34 | Psalm 42 If you've been searching for Christian answers to anxiety, biblical peace, ways to overcome worry, ways to trust God, or ways to find faith in difficult seasons, we hope this conversation encourages you. How to Study the Bible - Bible Study Made Simple - Creating Rhythms of Silence and Solitude

One of the paradoxes of Jesus is that he lived a perfect life without sin and had perfect communion with his Father, yet he still needed to withdraw from ministry success and pray. This observation challenges the notion that rest and solitude are only necessary for those who are burnt out or overwhelmed. Instead, it suggests that even in the midst of busyness and productivity, intentional rest and solitude are essential for reconnecting with God and being who we are meant to be. WiLD Conversation - The Fog of Work: Adam Tarnow on Why Middle Managers Build Trust, Lead Through Pressure, and Shape Organizational Culture

In this episode of the WiLD Conversation Podcast Dr. Rob McKenna and Sabeth Kapahu sit down with Adam Tarnow, former CPA, leadership development expert, and author of The Fog of Work: A Simple Approach to Navigating the Complexity of Middle Management , to explore why middle managers play one of the most influential roles in building trust and shaping organizational culture. Together, they unpack the unique pressures of leading from the middle, where expectations flow down from senior leadership while the daily needs of teams rise from below. Rather than viewing middle management as a frustrating stop on the way to executive leadership, Adam and Rob reveal why this "fog" is actually the proving ground where trust is earned, character is formed, and healthy organizational culture takes root. Drawing on Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey, they challenge leaders to move beyond blame and embrace personal agency. The conversation explores how thriving organizations aren't built on flawless leaders, but on systems of repair—cultures where honest conversations, accountability, and the willingness to learn from mistakes create lasting trust. Key Leadership Takeaways Trust Is Built Through Repair, Not Perfection The healthiest organizations aren't those that avoid conflict, they're the ones that repair it well. Trust grows when leaders embrace honest feedback, acknowledge missteps, and address broken dynamics before they become cultural norms. Middle Managers Shape Organizational Culture Every Day The middle isn't just where work gets done. The middle is where culture is lived. Positioned between strategic vision and frontline execution, middle managers have a unique opportunity to translate values into everyday leadership that builds trust across the organization. Lead Through Pressure with Agency, Not Blame Pressure can tempt leaders to focus on circumstances they can't control. Lasting leadership begins when we reclaim our agency, respond with intention, and choose courage over complaint, even when the path forward feels uncertain. Whether you're a middle manager, senior executive, or emerging leader, this conversation offers practical wisdom for navigating workplace complexity, building trust under pressure, and becoming the kind of leader who shapes a healthier organizational culture from wherever you lead.

The Called to Flourish Podcast - Women Aren't Leaving Over Pay — They're Leaving Because No One's Listening — Joanna Meyer, Denver Institute for Faith & Work

Most Christian leaders believe they value women's full contribution — but the structures working against that belief are often invisible until someone measures them. Leaders in Christian-led organizations are facing a quiet retention problem: women disengaging not over pay, but over voice, access, and influence. This episode unpacks how ordinary policies — job descriptions, meeting habits, mentorship norms — can unintentionally exclude women from decision-making, and why leaders often don't see it until someone brings the data. You'll Gain Insight On: Why structural bias hides inside well-intentioned policies What BCW's engagement data reveals about how women experience culture differently Practical personal, relational, and structural habits that close the gap Early signs of quiet disengagement leaders often miss Subscribe to Called to Flourish and share this conversation with a fellow leader. How to Study the Bible - Bible Study Made Simple - Learning to be Shaped by Scripture: Creating a Spiritual Rhythm of Bible Study

We're back with Rev. Rachel for week three of our Spiritual Rhythms series, and this week we're talking about one of our absolute favorite things — Scripture. But maybe not in the way you're used to engaging it. Here's something worth sitting with: most of us who love the Bible tend to engage it almost entirely through our heads. We study it, analyze it, cross-reference it — and that is genuinely wonderful. But there's a whole other way of being in Scripture that most of us in the evangelical tradition have barely touched, and it's actually one of the oldest Christian practices in existence. It's called lectio divina — divine reading — and it's been around for about 1,700 years. Long before the printing press, long before people could read their own Bibles, Christians were using this practice to actually experience and be formed by Scripture, not just informed by it. And today, Nicole and Rev. Rachel walk you through it live, using Psalm 119:9–16. Here's how it works: the passage is read four times, slowly. The first time, you just listen. The second time, you notice what word or phrase sticks with you. The third time, you ask the Holy Spirit how it connects to your life right now. And the fourth time, you ask God how He's inviting you to respond. What you're looking for at the end isn't more information — it's peace. It's the gentle conviction or comfort of the Spirit meeting you right where you are. We also talk about the digital fast from last week — and why your phone might be revealing more about where you actually place your trust than you'd like to admit. (Pro tip from Rev. Rachel's college students: buy an old school alarm clock. Seriously.) And the core idea we keep coming back to all series long: right pace creates right perspective. When we slow down enough to let Scripture read us — not just the other way around — something shifts. That's the invitation this week. Check out my free download to walk through these practices together:https://nicoleunice.kit.com/spiritualpractices This Week's Practice: Lectio DivinaTry it yourself with Psalm 119:9–16 — read it four times, slowly: Read 1 — Just listen. Let the words wash over you. Read 2 — What word, phrase, or image sticks with you? Read 3 — Ask the Holy Spirit: how does this connect to my life right now? Read 4 — Ask God: how are you inviting me to respond? Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Equip & Empower Podcast with Christine Caine - Episode 405 | God's Promises Are Still Yes: Believing for What He Said He Would Do

God is not waiting to give you something. He's waiting for you to go get what He's already given. That's the tension at the heart of this episode, and if you've ever found yourself in a season of praying, waiting, and wondering why nothing seems to be moving, Christine Caine has a direct word for you from the Book of Joshua: how long will you put off going in to possess the land? In this week of our summer series, Christine Caine brings the entire series to a point. We've built the roots. We've developed the resilience. We've walked through shame, waited through the wilderness, found the peace. Now comes the question that determines whether any of it produces fruit: are you willing to go in and possess what God has already promised you? Because the abundant life Jesus described in John 10:10 was never meant to be dropped from the sky. It was meant to be walked into actively, faithfully, and at personal cost. ✨ If you've ever asked questions like… ✅ Why does it feel like God's promises are for everyone else but not for me? ✅ I've been praying and believing for years, but why haven't I seen the breakthrough yet? ✅ What does it actually mean to possess the promises of God — is there something I need to do? ✅ How do I know what I need to cut away in order to move forward? ✅ Is the abundant life Jesus promised actually available to me right now, in my circumstances? ✅ Why do some Christians seem to walk in blessing and favor while others don't? ✅ Am I co-laboring with God or just waiting for Him to do something I'm supposed to participate in? …then this is your episode. What you'll learn: → Why God's promises are already yes and amen in Christ — but possessing them requires active participation, not passive waiting, and what it looks like to partner with God to go in and take what He has already given. → What the circumcision at Gilgal teaches us about the cutting away that always precedes new territory — and how to identify what you need to lay down before you can go in and possess what's next. → Why every generation must pay their own price (you cannot inherit someone else's breakthrough) and what it means for you personally to step into the fullness of what God has prepared for this season of your life. World Vision - Where are all the young people following Jesus?

Meet the Jesus Generation. Every night on Forrest Frank’s tour, this generation is helping rewrite children’s stories around the world. Honestly? We’ve never seen anything like this. Sold-out stadiums are brimming with kids, families, teenagers and friends who are worshipping, dancing, and responding to the invitation to support a child of God through sponsorship. Last year on Forrest’s Child of God tour, the team’s heart was to see every registered child in Tanzania sponsored. Forrest’s fans didn’t just meet that goal — they blew past it sponsoring every available child in Tanzania and spilling into the children in surrounding countries. Now, the vision is bigger: to see children sponsored in every country where World Vision has registered children waiting. This generation is living out their faith with open hands and open hearts. As Forrest sings in his new single, “Something happened to the youth… they’re waking up to the truth that it’s the Jesus Generation.” @hiforrest @tprlive.co @garretthornbuckle

Transforming the Church with Dr. Derwin L Gray - It's Time To Heal with Vicki Gray

What if the very pain that has broken you could become the pathway to your greatest healing? In this powerful conversation, Pastor Derwin and Vicki unpack the heart behind Pastor Derwin's new book, *It's Time to Heal: Four God-Given Steps to Restore What Life Has Shattered*—a message born not from theory, but from their own raw, courageous journey through trauma and transformation. Drawing from John 5:6, where Jesus asks a man paralyzed for decades, "Do you want to be made well?" Pastor Derwin reveals that healing begins with a vulnerable yes—because Jesus doesn't heal a future version of us, He heals the real us. With wisdom rooted in both Scripture and neuroscience, Pastor Derwin reframes suffering through the lens of post-traumatic growth, reminding us that the villain and the hero share the same origin story: pain. The difference is what you do with it. Vicki's voice adds tender authenticity, affirming that healing isn't linear, but God wastes nothing. Don't stay stuck in familiar pain—pre-order multiple copies of *It's Time to Heal* today and begin passing down healing instead of hurt to the next generation, for the glory of King Jesus.PODCAST RESOURCES• More from Derwin: www.derwinlgray.com and www.transformationchurch.tc/podcast• Subscribe on Apple Podcasts• Subscribe on Spotify• Subscribe on YouTube• Subscribe on Amazon Music• The ChurchLeaders Podcast Network CONNECT WITH DERWIN• Facebook: www.facebook.com/derwinlgray• Instagram: @derwinlgrayRATE, LEAVE A REVIEW, & SHAREIf you’ve been impacted by this podcast, please leave a rating and a review, and share with someone in your life.
