Book of Acts Part 2: Growing Through Truth (with Ps Sheron)
This week, we’ll be continuing in Chapter 3 of Acts with Ps Sheron, where Peter speaks to the onlookers about the miracle they just saw. As witnesses, we are not just bystanders but are called to speak words that lead others towards Jesus. Even when we feel like we have nothing to give, God can still use us, just as he used Peter and John in His power, and not their own strength. Book of Acts Part 2: Growing Through Miracles (with Ps Tim Meyers)
Ps Tim will be kicking off Book of Acts Part 2 as we continue our journey through the early church. Speaking from Acts 3:1-10, we’ll revisit the well-known account of the healing of the lame man at the temple gate. While the miracle itself is central to the story, this message explores the deeper challenge it presents to every believer. How often do we settle for temporary blessings while overlooking the greater gift Christ offers? What happens when we place too much value on what the world treasures and not enough on the transforming work of God? Join us as we reflect on what it means to seek Christ above all else and to humbly give God the glory when He chooses to work through us. I Want To Know Christ || Pentecost Sunday (with Ps Paul)
We gather around the Apostle Paul’s powerful cry in Philippians 3:10: “I want to know Christ…” As we celebrate Pentecost, we will celebrate the transforming power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and fix our eyes again on Jesus — the unchanging centre of our lives. This Sunday will also mark Ps Paul’s final Sunday serving in his pastoral role. Together we will give thanks for all God has done in this season — prayers answered, lives changed, and the faithful work of God through ordinary people surrendered to Him. More than anything, this will be a morning of worship, gratitude, and expectancy as we seek the presence of God together. Come hungry for Jesus. Come ready to worship. Come expectant for the Spirit to move. The post I Want To Know Christ || Pentecost Sunday (with Ps Paul) appeared first on Clayton Church of Christ.

In the Book of Acts, we meet imperfect, ordinary believers—people like us—under pressure and in transition. Yet God forged them into a disciple-making, mission-shaped movement that changed the world. This week, as we explore Acts 2, we will see how God did it, receive His invitation for today, and make space for Him to move among us. Book of Acts Part 1: The New Church (with Ps Sheron)
Have you ever reached a turning point in your life where you’ve asked the age-old question, ‘What now?’ Between last week’s heavy news and Ps Paul finishing up at the end of May, I’m sure many in our church community are asking this very question. In the book of Acts, the earliest disciples found themselves in a very similar position: facing a new reality, a new unknown. And as our church goes through this time of transition, we’re going to journey with these first disciples as God establishes the early church through them. Join us this Sunday as Ps Sheron kicks off the series and explores how The New Church navigated their own period of transition and what we can learn from them. Hold Fast To What Is Good (with Ps Paul)
In every season of life, we are invited to grow deeper in faith—not only when things are clear, but also when they are uncertain. God often does His deepest work in the process, forming us as we learn to stay present with Him, to listen, to surrender, and to trust. This Sunday, we’ll explore what it means to remain steady in God—praying continually, giving thanks, and staying open to the work of the Holy Spirit. As a community, we are called to hold fast to what is good—grounded in truth, attentive to God’s voice, and continuing to move forward together in faith. The Cross Equals A New Creation (with Shady Gendy)
Guest speaker Shady Gendy concludes our The Cross Equals series with a message on The Cross = A New Creation. The gospel doesn’t just change our status before God; it transforms our very nature and the way we live with others. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, we are no longer bound by sin but are alive to God, called to walk in the newness of life. In Romans 6–7 and 12–16, we see how the truth of the gospel reshapes our identity, renews our minds, and forms a new kind of community marked by love, humility, and devotion to God. Join us as we celebrate the risen Christ and discover what it means to live the transformed life, a life that is dead to sin, alive in Christ, and offering our lives as living sacrifices. Ps Kyle continues our The Cross Equals sermon series, with his message, The Cross = Uniqueness. Jesus Still Building: The Foundation That Sends Us (with Ps Paul)
For 75 years, Jesus has been our foundation — faithful, steady, unchanging. But the foundation of Christ isn’t just for stability; it’s for mission. The risen Lord who builds His church also sends His people. As we go — into our homes, workplaces, schools and neighbourhoods — we don’t just extend the gospel, we are formed more deeply in Him. We’re not just a church that has lasted 75 years. We’re a church built on Jesus, and built to be sent. Jesus Forever: The Foundation That Works Through Us (with Ps Kyle)
This week, Ps Kyle continued our ‘Jesus: Yesterday. Today. Forever.” series, and focused on our foundation being built on people who are willing and obedient to what God calls them to. God choosing to use people to spread his Good News and building his Kingdom is not a crazy idea that we thought of, but it was part of God’s plan and God’s design from the start. God chooses to use us. The post Jesus Forever: The Foundation That Works Through Us (with Ps Kyle) appeared first on Clayton Church of Christ.

Jesus Today: The Foundation of His Church (with Ps Sheron)
Throughout history, kingdoms have fallen, empires have collapsed, and yet, the church of Jesus Christ still stands, His word is still relevant, and His work on the cross still saves today. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to consider how we can spur each other on, and not give up meeting together, but to encourage one another. The church still stands today –whether it’s 75 years or 2000 years – because gathering as a body is not just a good habit, but Christ’s design. Jesus Yesterday: The Foundation in the Heart (with Ps Chee)
Celebrating 75 years, we reflect on the unchanging Jesus. Ps Chee shared on “Jesus The Same Yesterday”, reminding us from Hebrews 13:8 and 1 Corinthians 3 that the church stands not on programs or people, but on Christ in our hearts. The question is simple: will we keep Jesus at the centre for generations to come? The post Jesus Yesterday: The Foundation in the Heart (with Ps Chee) appeared first on Clayton Church of Christ.
