Live in Christ who Gives Life

This message focuses on what it means to truly live in Christ and why that reality is essential to the way we live each day. Rooted in Colossians 2:8–23, we see how life in Christ reshapes everything—from our thinking to our traditions, from how we serve to how we confront the world around us.Key points include: • Living your life based on Christ’s philosophy (obedience and seeking the lost), His traditions (love, prayer, teaching), and His basics (serving, peace, confrontation with opposition). • Trusting in Christ because of who He is: fully God, fully authoritative, and the fulfillment of God’s promises and justice. • Allowing Christ to perform a heart-level transformation—both internally through faith and externally through baptism—leading to full forgiveness and spiritual disarmament. • Rejecting religion and tradition as replacements for Christ. External rules, shadow experiences, and self-made restraints don’t change the heart, curb appetites, or keep our attention on Jesus. The message ends with a deeply personal reflection on the gospel: God gave life freely, paid for it with the blood of Christ, and now calls us to live not by obligation, but because we are beloved and forgiven. This teaching is a clear call to center our lives on Jesus—not as an add-on, but as the foundation for everything.

    Keep Your Love Growing

Christ says that we are known as his disciples by the love we have for each other. The Apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians seeks to encourage the church toward ever increasing love, "growing in knowledge and understanding" of that love. This love is not found by our merits, but through the forgiveness and grace of Christ's giving himself up on the cross to restore our relationship with God. The church is called to pass on these things, forgiveness, grace, and love, just as much as Christ has given these to us.Philippians 1:9-11, 3:8-11, Romans 3:10-18, 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9
