Craving More: Beyond The Food
by Becky Aldi
Craving More - Beyond the Food is a raw audio diary about what really happens behind emotional eating. I’m Becky, a health coach and human who’s still untangling my own messy relationship with food and using mostly Whole Foods plant based eating to heal my body. In each episode I share unedited stories about cravings, emotional eating, shame, and healing so you feel less alone and more connected to yourself. This is for women who are craving more from life than another diet … more self-trust, more compassion, more coming home to yourself.

A Midnight Confession: What I’m Actually Craving Right Now
In this episode, It's almost midnight on a Saturday night, and I'm sitting in the quiet space of my room recording a very real, very raw message straight from my heart to yours.Lately, I've been feeling a massive pull to change how we talk about 'craving more' in our lives. If I'm being completely transparent, I've caught myself moving too fast, stressing my nervous system, and forgetting the most important piece of my own puzzle: the slowing down. The quiet. The meditation. In this short, intimate episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on where this podcast is going. We aren't leaving the food conversation behind, but we are stepping into something deeper. I'm claiming my space as your spiritual and meditative guide, because it's time we heal our lives from the inside out, not just manage what's on our plates. What's next: Slip into something comfortable, turn down the noise of the world, and look out for the very next track on the feed—a guided meditation born out of my own deep need to breathe and listen to my soul this week. Let's start craving the peace we all deserve.I love you guys. See you in the meditation.

You Don’t Need to Be Perfect to Heal
In this raw and vulnerable episode, I open up about my struggle with perfectionism even while creating a podcast that was supposed to be unedited and real. After spending an entire week trying to record the “perfect” episode, I realized I was doing the exact thing I encourage other women not to do… waiting to feel perfect before showing up.This episode is about perfectionism, emotional eating, healing, vulnerability, and learning to let go of the pressure to do everything flawlessly.Because real life is unedited. And healing doesn’t require perfection. You just have to be willing to show up exactly as you are.

Why Hearing ‘I’m Not Perfect’ Changed Everything
In this episode, I’m sharing a moment that honestly shifted something in me in a way I didn’t expect.I’ve been working with a nurse through my doctor’s office for accountability and support on my health journey and during one of our calls, she said something so simple, but so powerful:“I’m not perfect either.”And I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear that… until I did.For so long, I’ve felt like I needed to do everything “right” when it comes to food, weight loss, and my health. Like I should know better. Like I should be further along. But hearing someone in the medical field openly admit that they struggle too… it took the pressure off in a way nothing else has.In this episode, I talk about:* the pressure of trying to be perfect with food* why advice alone isn’t always enough* how this moment changed the way I see myself* and why being human might actually be the key to healingIf you’ve ever felt like you’re messing this up… this episode is for you. You’re not broken. You’re human.

Crying in My Car with a Box of Pizza
I didn’t plan on buying pizza… But I walked into the grocery store exhausted, stressed, and just trying to get something simple for dinner… and somehow walked out with a box of Elios and tears in my eyes.I sat in my car and cried. Not because of the pizza, but because I know what to do.I’ve studied this. I’ve lived this. I’ve had moments of feeling completely aligned… and yet, in that moment, I felt stuck, overwhelmed, and frustrated with myself. If you’ve ever felt like:“I have the knowledge… so why can’t I just do it?”This episode is for you.In this episode, I’m sharing the real reason I started this podcast and the moment that pushed me to finally stop waiting to be perfect and start showing up as I am.This isn’t a willpower problem. It’s deeper than that. And you are not alone.

Finding My Way Back to Myself
In this episode, I share what’s been going on for me over the past few months—feeling disconnected from myself after stepping away from meditation and yoga due to a shoulder injury.I tried to record a podcast about meditation multiple times, but nothing felt right. I kept overthinking it, starting over, and getting frustrated. But something unexpected happened because of that. After hours of reflecting and trying to put my experience into words, I found myself reconnecting to my body in a way I hadn’t in months. I chose food in alignment without forcing it, and I stopped when I was satisfied. That’s when I realized… talking about meditation became the meditation. This episode is about losing connection, finding it again, and how awareness—not perfection—is what actually creates change.

What New York Taught Me About Food Freedom
In this episode, I’m sharing a real and honest reflection from my recent trip to New York City where I experienced something I haven’t felt in a long time: true food freedom. As someone who typically follows a whole foods, plant-based, low-fat lifestyle to support my health, I found myself navigating the balance between staying aligned with my goals and fully enjoying the moment especially in a city filled with incredible vegan food options.I talk about what it felt like to eat to satisfaction without restriction, how different that experience was from my usual patterns, and the surprising realization that when I felt present, happy, and at peace… food didn’t have the same hold on me.But I also share the harder side… what happened when I got home, the emotional eating that followed, and the deeper truth I’m starting to uncover: it’s not just about what we eat, it’s about why we eat. This episode is about the messy middle of healing your relationship with food, learning how to come back to yourself, and finding a sustainable balance between nourishment and enjoyment. If you’ve ever felt stuck between wanting to feel your best and just wanting to live your life… you’re not alone.

Craving More Than Food | My Story with Emotional Eating & Healing
This is my raw, honest audio diary… not a perfect and professionally polished podcast. I’ve been wanting to start this for years, but I kept waiting until I felt “ready”… until I felt like I had it all figured out. And the truth is, I realized I might never feel perfect or ready enough… so I decided to start as I am. In this first episode, I’m sharing my story.I’m a health coach with a background in psychology. I understand emotional eating deeply… and yet, I still struggle with it. Because the truth is, you can have all the knowledge in the world and still find yourself stuck in the same patterns.I’ve lost weight, gained it back, tried different programs, diets, and approaches… always searching for the answer. But what I’m learning is this:It’s not just about the food.Coming home to ourselves again and again is what allows us to stop using food to cope. This podcast isn’t just about emotional eating. It’s about what we’re really craving. Connection. Peace. Purpose. A life that actually feels good.Because we’re not just craving food… we’re craving more from our lives. In a world that constantly pulls us in every direction, it’s easy to lose that connection to ourselves. And when that happens, food becomes the easiest place to turn. This isn’t a willpower problem. It’s something deeper.I’ll also share some of the things that have helped me along the way, like slowing down, yoga, meditation, and learning to reconnect with myself. Not as a fix, but as part of the process.I do eat mostly plant-based to support my own health, but this podcast is not about telling you how to eat. I believe we’re all different, and all women are welcome here. This space is going to be real, unfiltered, and not perfectly polished. I’m not waiting until I have everything figured out. I’m sharing as I go.If you’ve ever struggled with food, emotions, or feeling disconnected from yourself… you’re not alone. And maybe we can figure this out together. And just a quick note… this podcast is based on my personal experience and is meant to support and inspire you - not diagnose or treat anything. If you’re struggling with your mental or physical health, please reach out to a qualified professional.
