Genesis 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”The first spoken guidance from God to Adam and Eve's firstborn, Cain, was meant to save him from a costly mistake that would spread evil. Cain could have chosen to ask God for guidance and to master resisting evil.We have to stick to doing what is right at the first opportunity. Stop doing what is wrong and making excuses.

We can pray to God and He will hear us, God wants us to come to him directly.

In Luke Chapter 8. Jesus warns about things that can stop believers from being successful. We can be successful in this world and the world to come. Some Christians have stunted growth because of misplaced priorities. LUKE 8 verse 11: " 11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. 12 The seed along the path are those who have heard and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. "See also:Revelation Chapter 3. verse "16 So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust].

We should forgive those who offend us, we should be wise. We can forgive and move on, we can forgive and give another chance, but either way we need to have wisdom. The word of God can show us which path to take. In 1 Corinthians Chapter 5 verse 9 to 11. We see where Apostle Paul advised on true believers conduct."10 But I wasn't talking about the people of this world. You would have to leave this world to get away from everyone who is immoral or greedy or who cheats or worships idols. 11 I was talking about your own people who are immoral or greedy or worship idols or curse others or get drunk or cheat. Don't even eat with them! "Mathew 6 vs 11 - 13 "12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." 

The power to forgive sins belongs to everybody, but some sins require divine intervention. Sin comes in different forms; we must understand the nature and properties of a sin to classify it. 1 John Chapter 5 verse 17 says, “Some sins lead to death...”, Mathew 12 verse 31 talks about “unforgivable sins”. This topic is quite vast and requires understanding the Spirit of God, Jesus' death; resurrection, and ascension to heaven to begin exploring it. Sin is the center of man’s downfall.
