Self-control is one way the gospel becomes believable. It is Spirit-enabled restraint ordered toward love and holiness.

The gospel transforms, builds, and guards the church—and we guard the gospel by living it together.

How to build a firm family foundation.

We don’t find peace by pretending nothing is broken in our lives. We find peace through Jesus—the gift that God sent us at Christmas.

Followers of Jesus share the good news of salvation through him because wonder and joy keep them from being silent.

God sends us into the world with love, curiosity, and clarity so people can encounter Christ. 

You are most free not when you escape all limits, but when you surrender to Jesus’ yoke—the yoke that fits your soul.

Surrender doesn’t erase desire; it reorders desire, so that God’s will becomes our deepest want.

Surrendering your relationships to Jesus frees you to love people deeply without asking them to be your identity.

When we surrender our self-made identity, we are able to discover our truest identity in Jesus.

Jesus says something completely different from the gospel of self that our culture preaches. Jesus says to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow him—and when we do that, we’ll find life.

What can cause you to stop short of allowing Jesus’ words to change your heart and life?

To build a life that lasts, we must follow Jesus and his teachings.

Jesus seeks followers who will open their hearts to him—to know him and to be known by him.

Jesus offers us wisdom on how to discern real from fake, and truth from lies.

The narrow road is the Jesus way—costly to walk, but it leads to life.

The church is a people send to the ends of the earth to make disciples. Living out God’s mission is grounded in our identity as children of God and is motivated by God’s heart.

The church is called to be a sacramental community through the practices of baptism and communion.

Active Membership is an invitation to commit to participation in the local church family where God has called you.

The church was not a human idea. The church was Jesus’ idea for a flourishing life and world.

God is good, and his kids trust him deeply and love generously.

We don’t need to condemn other people because through Jesus, we have been spared condemnation. That’s an essential truth we discover in Jesus’ words about not judging others in Matthew 7.

The six disputes found in Malachi help us see that our trust issues can’t stop God’s promises. 

God's promises invite us to greater faith and obedience.

When we put God first, the rest finds its place. That’s why it’s important to audit our priorities and change our priorities to align with God’s plan.

God is out to cleanse you—not to condemn you, but to renew you. God’s justice and love are proof that he delights in you.

Habakkuk guides us toward the hope that God will take care of all the things that aren’t right in the world. 

God’s judgment is not a threat to the righteous, but a comfort. God’s justice may be delayed but never denied.

God desires transformed hearts over empty acts.

Are you okay with God loving your enemies? Is God allowed to be more loving than you want him to be? Do you only love God when he plays by your rules of justice? What happens when God blesses those you wouldn’t?

You kill pride in your life by beholding the humble King: Jesus. Humility keeps our minds and hearts open to and fixed on him.

A life of worship + justice demonstrates if our heart is aligned with God.

God can use the crises in our lives to wake us up to renewal through his presence.
