The mission of God is to amplify His love through the sound of community. Today we consider Jesus' challenge that we use all our comings and goings as an invitation to salvation; The Sound of Community.

This world is a place where lines are drawn and sides are taken. The church is no different. But you know who is? Jesus. Today we look deeper into the Mission of God and notice that Jesus goes where others wouldn't, sits with those we shun. The Missio Dei calls us to break the invisible barriers erected by selfishness and fear... To follow Jesus wherever He goes.

Micah 6:8 suggests that the mission of God embraces and loves mercy. If we are truly followers of Christ, this will be a description of our lives as well. Join us as we consider our calling to love mercy among the hurting and oppressed.

You may have gone on a short term mission trip, served in a soup kitchen, or contributed funds to a worthy cause. It's possible you did so because you decided, "that organization's mission is a good one." Maybe you are the one who had the original idea, drummed up support, and thought of it as "your mission." Though we could bog down in semantics, today we consider an important distinction. The mission we are called to is, from beginning to end, God's. Our calling is to hear His heartbeat, respond to His voice, and join Him in what He is doing... Join Him in what He has always been about: the Misseo Dei.

Today's study of 2 Kings 4 explores the miraculous rescue of a destitute widow from financial ruin and the indentured servitude of her sons. We trace God's intervention through the work of Elisha and consider the patterns of faith that crisscross our own struggles, failures and inadequacies. In this simple story we find hope and motivation the size of a mustard seed and more.

In our final episode of the Broken Kingdom series, Pastor Andreas Beccai applies lessons from the Old Testament story of King Josiah.
