Hard Times
Sometimes you can try your best to serve God, but it can feel like it is just you against the entire world, especially in the workplace. The more that you do right, the more things seem to go wrong. You may begin to wonder if you are on the right side of this thing at all. If you have ever found yourself standing alone against the world, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

The Prayer of Jabez
Jabez prayed, and God gave him what he asked for. Yet, what if Jabez had not prayed? Jesus told us to pray: "Give us today our daily bread." So don't be afraid to ask God for the things you need. If you have questions about praying, read the message today for a word of wisdom!

Saddling Up Anyway
It is easy to be strong when there is nothing to be afraid of, but our faith is tested in the furnace, like refined gold. Though you may be enduring terrible trials, have courage! Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-

A Prophet Without Honor
Jesus performed miracles that left crowds speechless, yet the people who knew Him best tried to throw Him off a cliff. Rejection from the people closest to you is not a sign that you missed God; it is a sign that you are in good company. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Your Testimony
Unless a test comes, there is no testimony. Having a testimony, witness, and facts come from experiencing God's power in your life during hard times. These are the things you can stand on when the going gets tough. There is a purpose in the trials of your life. Listen to the message today for a word of hope! From my book: "Forty Days of Hope."

Wrongfully Accused
No matter where you are today, how dark it looks, or how you got there, if you submit yourself to God and keep a positive attitude, He will work it out for the best. Even though it may seem like the odds are against you, there is help. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

The Twilight Zone
Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die. Even though the cycle of life is nothing new, few are prepared for it. And if you live long enough, you will see all of your friends pass on before you. If you have struggled with grief, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

You do not have to walk alone today. There is wisdom beyond the natural that is within your reach. When you are faced with things you do not know how to do, turn to God, pray, and listen. The Man In The Middle
Three men were nailed to wooden crosses and raised high in the air, naked and exposed for all to see. There, they slowly died. The two men on the sides were thieves, while the Man in the middle was Jesus Christ. While they hung there, one of the thieves had a change of heart. With only minutes left, he made things right with God. If you, or some of your loved ones, are not yet saved, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-

Just Around the Corner
Each time the Israelites were near their breaking point, they were right before breaking through with an abundance. If you have ever been tempted to complain about the trials in your life, read the message today for a word of hope. This is taken from my book "Forty Days of Hope."

51
Gnats and Camels
Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees: men who strained out gnats but could swallow a camel whole. Two thousand years later, not much has changed. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

In God We Trust
David began life as a poor shepherd boy, the least in his family, but God took care of him all the way through, and he ended well. David had the experience of an entire life behind him when he wrote Psalm 37. He had once been young, and now he was old. If you have been through times that looked dire, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
49
Memories
Many things in my life seemed like the end of the world while they were happening, yet now they are only a distant memory. All of the troubles and trials we go through in this life are temporary, and they will pass. Even the end of our life is merely the beginning of something new. If you are going through painful and traumatic times, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
48
Double Trouble
Many times the things we go through are not brought on because we did something wrong. If you have gone through tough times in your life, you probably already know this. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
47
Septic Tank Technicians
It took me a long time to realize that God did not dislike the same people I did. And that the people who have wronged us will get the same forgiveness we do if they ask Him for it. Yet, we all have something in common, and it reeks. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
46
That Familiar Voice
Jesus said, "My sheep hear My Voice, and they follow Me" (John 10:27). If you feel like you can't hear God's voice well, or at all, you may be overcomplicating it. It may be simpler than you think. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
45
The Mail Server
In your walk with God, there will be some things you don't understand. "Why did this happen?" will always be a thought away. If you have questions that trouble you, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Copperhead Road
There is a stretch of ground under our oak tree we call Copperhead Road. Found three of them there last year. Growing up in South Carolina, you learn fast to not like copperheads. The LORD put enmity between us and the serpent, and I abide by that rule. But here is the thing: while I was writing this, I wasn't afraid. There weren't any snakes in the house. Anxiety would be worrying that one is about to crawl out from under the desk anyway. Fear looks at a snake on the floor. Anxiety looks for a snake that isn't there. In this week's message, we dig into what the New Testament word for anxiety actually means, why a divided mind can't trust God, and how the Holy Spirit used a pizza to teach me to stop trying to carry the whole week at once. The LORD took care of you today. He will do it again tomorrow. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Darkest Before the Dawn
Your breakthrough is waiting near your breaking point. When it looks like you cannot go on and it becomes so dark, when you are ready to snap and let God have it with both barrels, you are so close to being delivered. Listen to the message today for a word of hope! This is taken from my book: Forty Days of Hope.

42
Outnumbered
We like to bring as large an army as possible, but God prefers to be outnumbered. He likes it that way. In His army, quality is much better than quantity. That was the case of small David defeating giant Goliath. It was the same with Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Daniel, Paul, and many others. God only needed one who was faithful to bring victory. Though you may face impossible odds, and the world may seem like it is against you, that is not how God sees it. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
41
The Silent Time
While attending classes at a school, the teacher is right there with you and willing to answer any questions you may have. They spend their time trying to help you understand the subject. But when the test comes later, you are expected to complete it using the knowledge you have been taught. Because God loves you and wants to help you grow, there will be times of testing. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
40
Crossing the River
Stepping out in faith can be intimidating, maybe even terrifying, but it can have great rewards for those who overcome. We are not the first to have to choose between trusting God or fleeing in fear. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
39
Hairy Pastors
I have often prayed something specific and saw God go even beyond the details in my prayer. Your prayers don't scare Him, for He is not just creative but the Creator. Yet, we need to be sure that we are asking for the right thing. Today's wisdom is on the importance of specific prayer. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
38
The Mercedes
Change is something that makes us uncomfortable, and we often resist it. But, for the new to come to pass, the old has to go away. If you want a better car or a better job, the old one usually has to go first. We like to know what is going on and for the swap to happen all at once. Yet, God often brings change differently. Most of us will feel at least a little stressed when looking at the unknown and need encouragement. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
37
Upside Down
On the last night Jesus spent with His disciples, He got on His knees and washed their feet. The servant was missing, the basin was sitting there, but nobody moved. So the Lord of glory did the job Himself. That moment was not just a kind gesture; it was a lesson He had been teaching them all along. The way up in the kingdom of God is down. Pride blocks everything good from God, while humility opens the door. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
36
The Power Edge
Faith is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It is the currency of heaven. Though your circumstances may look hopeless, you have access to power that cannot be matched. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
35
Royal Blood
When kings of old passed through their towns, it was often with a splendid display and ceremony. They may ride in a golden chariot or a carriage pulled by twelve white horses. When Jesus came to Earth, it was completely different. He began by sleeping comfortably in a feeding trough in a stable and, later, on the floor of a fishing boat in a storm. Though you may have been born under humble circumstances, you can become royalty by choice. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
34
The Long Way Home
Jesus once told a parable about a young man who demanded his inheritance early. Graciously the father gave his part to him. The son immediately left for a faraway country and blew all the money on riotous living, partying, and prostitutes. The message today will be a blessing to anyone who has struggled, especially to anyone who has hit rock bottom.
-
33
The Everlasting Razor
When the Israelites came out of Egypt, the Lord gave them His Spirit to teach them. He provided them with food and water and sustained them in every way. For forty years, they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and no diseases were found among them. That was amazing, but will God still do things like that today? The God we serve can provide all we need, both great and small. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
32
Heart Medicine
So many attacks come against us daily that it is easy to become discouraged. That is the enemy's purpose for them. But true happiness isn't found in things, jobs, success, or even people. The secret to being happy is more simple than we think. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
31
The Pottery Maker
Many of us have become wrecked works of art. We start with so much potential and promise, but all of that can become broken. If you have ever felt broken and worthless, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
30
Hidden Away
If it feels like God has set you on a shelf and forgotten about you, you are in good company - Joseph, Moses, Esther, and David all spent years in obscurity before God brought them out. The hidden season is not wasted time; it is where He does His best work. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
29
Let There Be Light
Life is fragile. As people, we like to think that we have it all under control. But I have been on top of the world one day and crushed under it the next. If you have ever felt crushed under a burden, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
28
Zero to Hero
God can fix everything, and even if all you have to depend on is Him, He is more than enough. If you feel you are not wealthy, powerful, intelligent, or talented enough to make a difference, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
27
Pearls And Pigs
Jesus shared more with the disciples who were closest to Him. His inner three were Peter, James, and John, who were present at His transfiguration and other events. God doesn't share His wisdom with everyone and does not throw His pearls before pigs. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
26
The Mercy Seat
Mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone within one's power to punish or harm. It is not punishing them, even though they deserve it, even when they have earned it, and you now have the power to make them pay for it. Though it may be difficult to forgive those who have harmed you and your loved ones, there is a great reward for doing so. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
25
The Heart of Stone
I grew up a bit different than most. My Mom married and divorced nine times, and my Dad three. Everyone I knew, and every home I stayed at, was temporary. One day they were your family, and the next day, your enemy. I don't even remember all their names, and many of them never bothered to learn mine. If you have been wounded by the pain in your life, Listen to the message today for a word of hope! This is taken from my book Forty Days of Faith.

24
Going Back to Egypt
God has brought you this far, and though the road in front of you may now look terrifying, do not turn back. God is still with you, and His plan has not changed. Though your circumstances may be daunting, there is always a way through. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
23
Chains of Clarity
Manasseh was the most wicked king Judah ever produced. Fifty-five years of murder, idol worship, child sacrifice, and sorcery. He even had the prophet Isaiah sawn in half. But when the Assyrians put him in chains and hauled him off to Babylon, he came to his senses. He prayed, and God answered. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
22
That Peaceful Easy Feeling
There is a time to pray in faith and stand on it, but Jesus Himself went back and prayed the same words again when He was troubled and sorrowful. He prayed until He had the peace in His spirit to face the trial that was soon coming. If you want more peace in your life, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
21
Cut it Loose
Sometimes, there are chains in our life that keep us from our destiny, but today is the first day of the rest of your life. God is interested in your future, not your unchangeable past. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-

17
The Popcorn Line
Each time in my life, before the Lord started to use me in any way that mattered, I first went through a humbling season to prepare me for it. It was always voluntary, and each time I was given the opportunity to humble myself but never forced to obey. The task usually came as a choice, where I could choose to humbly serve others in some way or to leave feeling like they didn't know how important I really was. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
16
Whitewashed Prophets
Jesus called the most religious people of His day whitewashed tombs who were clean on the outside, but dead on the inside. The LORD sees the things we try to hide and who we really are. He is not polite about sin, and He doesn't need more cheerleaders who stand on the sidelines looking pretty, and shouting all the right things, but aren't even in the game. He wants people who actually do what He says. We can do better. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
-
15
Refirement
If Moses had gotten his way, he would have probably died a simple shepherd at Mount Horeb. But God had other plans for him, and Moses soon became the most powerful person living on Earth. If you have ever felt like your life was going nowhere, read today's message for a word of hope!
-
14
Pride and Prejudice
When we are prideful, arrogant, and haughty, we are our own god, and there is no room for another. But humility will keep you from two of the enemy's hidden traps. For wisdom on this subject, read today's message!
-

Heads or Tails
Hope can be defined as expectation, trust, and confidence. Knowing that something good is coming your way. Fear can be defined as anxiety, apprehension, or dread. Knowing that something terrible is coming your way. Both are invisible, and it takes just as much faith and energy to believe in one as it does the other. If you have been worried or afraid about your future, read today's message for a word of hope!
-
