With plants we typically observe what is above ground, not the important part that is underneath.
There are three lessons from this directive by Paul. First, love the gospel we first heard and let nothing replace it, no matter how good the alternative sounds. Second, walk in the wide space (in Christ) that God has given to us. Third, thank God because he planted us in Christ, enables us to grow in grace, and strengthens us as we do.

Remaining asleep when work in the kingdom is required is not acceptable to the Lord
God is looking for some men and women in Christ who will wake up and serve Him walking through a valley, climbing a mountain, wading through deep waters, stepping through fire – or even carrying a cross up a lonely hill. How many today are willing to step out and renew an alert, awakened heart to Christ? Or perhaps, to wake from your sleep and give your heart to Jesus who walked up the hill called Calvary to die in your place.

Transformation changes our focus
Romans 12:2 King James Version And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The ability to focus on and execute solutions when in the face of uncertainty or adversity
2 Cor 10:3-6 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”

He will make us to triumph over our worst fears and enemies.
“Although there may be tragedy in your life, there's always a possibility to triumph. It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from. The ability to triumph begins with you. Always.” by Oprah Winfrey

“Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you’re waiting.”
Patience. The very word can cause us to roll our eyes. That's because when we think of patience, we think of waiting. And we don't like to wait. But it seems as though we're always waiting for something. Waiting for a certain thing to happen, for one thing to begin, and another to end. Waiting for more time or more money. Waiting for our marriage to get better, or for our spouse to change. Waiting for the kids to grow up. Waiting for our prayers to be answered. Waiting can be painful and difficult—especially when it comes to our need for change in marriage. But God says that waiting is good. That's because it produces patience in us. The apostle Paul tells us that patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit—in other words, patience is a byproduct of God's work within us. He describes it as "longsuffering" (Galatians 5:22, NKJV), a word that, according to Webster's dictionary, means "long and patient enduring of injury, trouble, or provocation.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates
Christ is the King of Glory. He is the One who ascends into the Presence of the Lord. Only He has perfectly fulfilled the Law in perfect righteousness. Christ, who went to the cross and defeated our two greatest enemies: Sin and death!

“The assurance that God is with us is the most precious gift we have in suffering.”
God has all of eternity to lavish his kindness on us (Ephesians 2:7). As he has promised, “No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). And I am convinced that the less earthly pleasure and reward we have received, the greater our pleasure and reward will be in heaven. If you are struggling today, remember God has not forgotten you. He has engraved you on the palms of his hands (Isaiah 49:15–16). He will never fail you or forsake you. He will walk with you through every dark valley. The God who has numbered every hair on your head and knows every sparrow that falls to the ground is aware of every detail of your situation. He is using your suffering and pain in ways you would not believe if someone told you. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10)

We usually determine what is right or wrong according to our convictions.
Many people do not have their own convictions. They are based on what others think. What our parents taught us. Maybe even what the Pastor thinks. God wants us to have our own convictions.

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.
Growth is a positive change of size. Over a period of time. Although Growth can be for different things, areas or for different purposes. There are spiritual growth, financial growth, Economic growth, health growth , Business growth etc, But I want to focus on encouraging us about anything we as Christians begin in our lives, which will grow with time. Many Christians have given up all hope for things to grow in their life Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. (Job 8:7 NKJV) In the above verse, it confirm that yes your beginning was small (past tense) because your beginning has started. You can't go back, you can't give up, you can't lose hope, because it has started. As long as you've prayed and received confirmation of that thing you start, then be rest assured that there will be increase. But the verse also said It will flourish ,it will grow. It's like a seed. Don't give up, Don't let people discourage you. Believe it.Today i pray for you that God will increase your beginning in the mighty name of Jesus.

Our Authority is based solely on our relationship with Jesus
Each and every one of us that have believed on the name of Jesus Christ for our salvation are possessors of the authority of all heaven. Jesus said that we have the keys of the kingdom. Keys represent authority A door is meant as a barrier but once you possess the key it no longer hinders you. We possess the keys of the kingdom, in other words WE HAVE AUTHORITY. Nothing that the enemy of my soul throws at me will deter me, slow me down, or cause me to give up, because I possess the keys of authority. The power of heaven binds what I bind the power of heaven looses what I loose.

The past is important, but looking forward instead of backward is more important
Looking backward most time means an inability to let go of past relationships, past mistakes, past choices, or even past health. We all have something in the past that is hard for us to let go of. Looking backward is often full of regret and/or sadness. Looking forward, on the other hand, means putting the past behind you and focusing on what’s ahead. It means having hope that what’s ahead of you is better than what’s behind you. It means giving your attention to your future, not your past.

The Power of Belief often empowers the highest levels of performance.
What you believe either empowers you or it limits you. Empowering beliefs pull your performance up; limiting beliefs pull your performance down. This is especially true under competitive pressure or in response to challenging situations. The good news is that what you believe is your choice. The power of belief resides in its ability to do four things: Belief creates vision; Belief creates strength of will; Belief creates resilience; and Belief ignites and activates.
