#5 Maicol MP - Top production tips, collabs, inspirations and influences
In this episode, I talk to Italian producer Maicol MP. With a string of productions, collaborations and remixes under his belt on labels such as Surrealism, Terranova, Kindisch, Future Frequencies and Ephemeral, Maicol is a name that is very much on the rise in the current melodic house and techno scene. His biggest release to date – Lilac Flame – came out earlier this year in the form of a collaboration with Iranian producer Hamoon which was released on the Surrrealism label’s ‘Speechless II’ VA. With its dark, moody percussive arrangements and melodies, the track was a hit in the clubs with scene heavyweights Trikk, Aera and fellow Italian Ivory playing it out.Maicol’s next ep, produced alongside long-time collaborator Steedo, is due out soon on Metrica and in this podcast, you get to hear an exclusive preview of their track ‘Ant’s March’, which to date has only been played out by Trikk b2b with Jimi Jules at the Innervisions Offsonar event in Barcalona 2022.Follow the podcast on instagram:@electric_communion
