Mary Pyle’s life was not loud or dramatic but filled with love. Ordinary in appearance, heroic in self-gift, hers was a holiness shaped by obedience, Eucharistic devotion, and total trust. Today, as her cause for canonization gets underway, her story invites us to listen more closely to God’s quiet call — and to discover where love, when followed fully, might lead us.Order the book here!Susan De Bartoli is the author of the award-winning Welcoming the Christ Child with Padre Pio and Welcoming the Holy Spirit with Padre Pio, as well as Carry the Cross with Padre Pio. The Saint John Prayerbook
Enter into prayer with the disciple whom Jesus loved. The Saint John Prayerbook offers a rare and structured path into the contemplative depths of St. John the Evangelist, whose Gospel stands as the Church’s most profound school of prayer. For centuries, Christians have turned to the "Beloved Disciple" for insight into the mystery of Christ, yet few have learned how to pray specifically with his unique perspective. This prayerbook bridges that gap, guiding you through a thirty-day journey rooted in Sacred Scripture. Each meditation pairs a passage from the Gospel of John with a focused reflection and an original prayer, helping you move from reading to encounter, and from knowledge to communion. The result is more than a prayerbook; it is a guided retreat that draws you into contemplative stillness and strengthens your intimacy with the Word made Flesh.Fr. Gabriel Mary Fiore, CSJ is a Catholic priest and professor of theology at the Angelicum University in Rome. He teaches various courses in the history of Christian spirituality, including the spirituality of John's Gospel. He is the author of The Saint John Prayerbook from TAN Books. Ave Maria University to launch campus in Ireland
Ave Maria University in Florida is setting out to make its students a fixture in the historically Catholic community surrounding Mount Melleray Abbey in County Waterford, Ireland.“We are not here to give our students a cultural exchange; we’re here to have a campus that is steeped both in our culture and the tradition of Ireland,” Daniel Schreck, chief strategy officer for Ave Maria University, told EWTN News.“That means understanding the people of Ireland, County Waterford, the town of Cappoquin, and the Cistercian order,” he said. “I think that’s how you really make this a permanent home and not just a building we’re coming to once a semester with our given cohort of students.”Click here to read more!Daniel Schreck is the Chief Strategy Officer & Director of The Institute at Ave Maria University. Supreme Court Delivers Victories for Parental Rights, Women’s Sports and Free Speech
The Supreme Court has closed its books on a consequential term that delivered significant wins for parental rights and free speech, disappointed prisoners seeking to remedy offenses against their religious liberty, redrew the boundaries of executive power and closed with developments that serve as reminders of how much work remains. And in one of its final rulings, the Court addressed one of the most contested questions of the moment: whether states may protect female athletics for biological females.Read Andrea’s commentary here.Andrea Picciotti-Bayer is a legal analyst for EWTN News, and director of the Conscience Project. Faith @ Work Friday w/Michael Murray
Michael Murray is Regional Director of Gift & Estate Planning in the Office of Gift & Estate Planning at Hillsdale College. Spotlight on Michael MurrayLt. Col. Michael Murray’s interest in the military was rooted in his family heritage. No, military service was not a Murray family tradition. In fact, Michael’s father was an Irish immigrant. But preserving the freedoms that gave his father the opportunity to immigrate drove Michael to service in the armed forces.Michael was accepted into the one-year Military Academy prep school but accepted admission to Albion College in Michigan instead, deferring his service. On the day of graduation, he accepted and signed a law contract with the Marine Corps and shipped out to Officers Candidate School (OCS) that summer. The week after graduating from OSC and accepting his commission as an officer, he left for law school, graduating three years later. After another year of training, Michael moved to his first duty station in 29 Palms where he served as a judge advocate. Later he was relocated to University of Michigan to be a Marine Officer Instructor. In 2001, then a Major, Michael switched to a reserves contract and activated several times in the following years. After deployment to Iraq in 2005, he returned to the reserves for three years as a judge advocate, then activated yet again in 2010 to work on the prosecution of four terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. Finishing the case, he returned to the reserves as an assistant to the counsel for the Commandant of the Marine Corps.Several years ago while Michael was working in the private sector, one of his business associates suggested that he apply for a position that had opened at nearby Hillsdale College. When he looked up the College, Michael noted, “I was inspired by the mission statement, the focus on something bigger than the individual.”He remembered asking during his interview whether the College would be supportive of his reserve duty. They responded with a definitive yes, and shortly after, he found out that he was a finalist for the position. After another interview, the College offered him the job, and he readily accepted it. 150 North American Martyrs You Should Know
In this compelling new book, Brian O’Neel tells the stories of martyrs associated with North America. Some are from other countries and died in their attempts to spread the faith on this continent. Some were born on this continent but died doing missionary work in other lands. Some were individual martyrs, and some were part of an heroic group. Some were “white martyrs” who, although they did not shed their blood for the faith, suffered much for the spread of their faith. The book includes: A lively presentation about each martyr (or group of martyrs), a practical application for the reader, a historical context for how these martyrs helped the Church to grow in North America. These martyrs changed the world by their courage and commitment, and their stories have the power to inspire us today to live our Catholic faith bravely and boldly.Brian O’Neel is a writer, editor, and publicist living in Lansing, MI, with his wife. He has written three books, all from Servant Press, “39 New Saints You Should Know,” “Saint Who?” and “150 North American Martyrs You Should Know.” Get full access to Epiphany at epiphanyradio.substack.com/subscribe

New Research Offers Insight into Catholic Views on AI
As Catholics around the world reflect on Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, new survey data suggests many Catholics already share the Holy Father’s conviction that artificial intelligence should serve humanity rather than replace it.Research conducted in March 2026 by ACS Technologies, a 45-year leader in church management software, market expertise, and data analysis, surveyed 1,500 Americans on topics such as honesty, friendship, faith, and artificial intelligence. Catholics represented 21 percent of respondents across multiple generations. Though the survey was completed before the publication of Magnifica Humanitas, its findings closely mirror several themes emphasized in the landmark document. The survey was part of the groundbreaking research series American Beliefs Study: Religious Preferences and Practices, an ongoing research initiative examining Americans’ religious affiliations, beliefs, values, and practices.Terry Poplava serves as General Manager of ACST Catholic. As a cradle Catholic, his faith was lukewarm until he was challenged by the intense challenge and commitment he heard in a message about stewardship. “What do I own, and what owns me?” which led him to executive roles at Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic Leadership Institute before his current focus on serving the Catholic Church at ACS Technologies. Terry has extensive experience working with churches across the U.S., supporting their planning, stewardship, and engagement efforts. First Line of Defense: The Catholic Man’s Call to Heroism
This work aims to spark a revolution, reawakening men to their deepest identity—not as “alpha” or “sigma” males, but as soldiers of Christ. To come fully alive, we must rediscover the courage of the apostles, who risked pain, humiliation, and death in the pursuit and defense of the truth.First Line of Defense is for men in every walk of life, reminding them that they are called to be great. With directness and clarity, Doug Barry and Daniel O’Connor show what it could mean to live a heroic life of duty, courage, strength, sacrifice, and dedication—that is, to be a saint.Doug Barry is the founder and director of the Catholic ministry RADIX and has spent more than three decades traveling nationally and internationally to spread and defend the Catholic faith. Students for Life Action Calls for Reintroduction of the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act
You’ve likely seen the international conversation sparked by the abortion of a Down Syndrome baby by social media influencer Jesse Ridgway, when he and his wife made getting pregnant and then aborting a baby with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome both a click-bait event and then the beginning of a huge and on-going controversy. Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins first called for a re-introduction of an enhanced PRENDA to address the issue.“’The Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act‘ affirms a simple but profound truth: every human life has inherent dignity and worth. In a world where advancing technology can be used to discriminate against the most vulnerable before birth, this legislation calls us back to our deepest moral commitment that no child should be judged or rejected because of who they are or their abilities. Protecting preborn children from discrimination is not just a policy choice, but a reflection of our national conscience and our belief in equal human dignity for all.”Kristan Hawkins is the CEO of the Pro-Life Generation, and President of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action. Since launching the organization in 2006, Kristan has spent nearly two decades building a national network of more than 1,635+ campus Students for Life groups in all 50 states, training more than 250,000 students to stand up for Life.Under her leadership, Students for Life of America has become the largest pro-life youth organization in the world, and Students for Life Action has grown into a force to be reckoned with on Capitol Hill and in statehouses across the nation.
